The BLVD announces $310 million redevelopment plan for Midtown
The church says it will convert their 23-acre Midtown property near Bellevue between Poplar and Madison, into mixed uses, retail, hotel, educational and business spaces with more than 600 housing units.
The church said it will build a new 73,000 square foot sanctuary at the corner of Poplar and Montgomery. They will be able to hold 2,200 people and incorporate a café along with multi-purpose areas, and spaces designed for children and teens.
The mixed-use development will be the cornerstone of the Cleveland Street TIF. The project is anticipated to be completed by 2030, the church said.

According to the release, major components and project investments to be expected are:

Workforce housing that meets the needs of Memphians working in or near the medical district and earning 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Student housing for graduate and medical students attending nearby universities, which caters to their lifestyles and living patterns.
Multi-Family housing that will provide a range of market-rate options for singles, couples, and families alike.
Hotel: 125-key, select-service hotel, estimated at $34.7 million, that will accommodate the needs of the medical community and others visiting the district.
Health and Wellness: 90,000 sq. ft. dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to health and well-being, estimated as a $32 million investment, including a range of services such as medical offices, fitness centers, and other complementary health-focused facilities.
Retail: 45,000 sq. ft of retail at a projected investment of $15 million will incorporate a range of amenities essential for creating vibrant and dynamic communities. Possibilities include coffee shops, restaurants, and a full-service grocery store, with priority given to local business owners.
Parking: The development will have a new $35 million, 1,000+-space parking facility, which will incorporate EV chargers, state-of-the-art technology, and safety-conscious design; and will accommodate the additional density the development will bring.
'For more than 100 years, the BLVD has been a catalyst for positive change in Memphis,' said Pastor J. Lawrence Turner, Senior Pastor of The BLVD. 'In these days of uncertainty and upheaval for our city, the members of The BLVD are gratified to ignite the Medical District's possibility and promise with a transformative new community that will enrich the lives of our neighbors. This is the type of development that Memphis and the people who call it home deserve.'

Tesla stock looks overpriced to me. But might it be a long-term bargain?
Time and again throughout its history as a listed company, Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) looked pricy on many common valuation metrics. But often it has confounded sceptics. Over the past year alone, Tesla stock is up by 33%. On a five year basis, the share price has soared 223%. So could it be that what looks to me like an overpriced stock actually turns out to be a potential bargain from a long-term perspective? A pricey-looking business Let me explain first why I see Tesla as overpriced. Its main business is cars. Making and selling them has traditionally been an industry with decent but not phenomenal profit margins, although add-on services can be lucrative. Tesla's vertically integrated manufacturing and sales model has helped it achieve better profit margins than some rivals when things have been going well. But the car industry is crowded and competition among electric vehicle (EV) makers is intense, putting pressure on profit margins. On top of that, Tesla has had some specific problems of its own this year that have seen sales volumes slide markedly in the first half. They include impact on some customers' preferences due to its boss's political involvement, as well as an increasingly narrow-looking product range compared to some rivals. The looming end of lucrative US tax credits could also hit Tesla's profitability. As well as cars, Tesla has a power generation and storage business. Again, it is an industry that is competitive but can support decent though not stellar profit margins. The year-on-year revenue decline in the first half suggests to me that this business may be struggling to add new clients at attractive price levels. With those two businesses accounting for the majority of Tesla's revenues, I reckon its $966bn market capitalisation and price-to-earnings ratio of 179 both look hard to justify. Tesla has some possible growth drivers Still, what if I am missing something? After all, plenty of other investors seem to value Tesla stock much higher than I do. That does not mean they are right, of course, but I do think it is important as an investor always to try and see both sides of an investment case. Although the car business has had a rough 2025 to date, it still has sizeable economies of scale and has in the past overcome substantial business obstacles. Meanwhile, Tesla is using its expertise learnt from the car business to try and break into other areas of potential opportunity, such as self-driving taxis and robotics. If they do very well, the current Tesla share price may ultimately turn out to be a bargain. Excitement about the massive potential of these markets helps explain the dizzying Tesla stock price, in my view. But I see that as a possibly costly error, since if I invest now and those businesses end up going nowhere (possibly burning through a lot of cash along the way), I could end up losing money if Tesla stock goes down to a more modest valuation. So for now, I will continue to keep an eye on the company, but have no plans to invest. The post Tesla stock looks overpriced to me. Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC (PSNY) Secures $200M Investment to Accelerate EV Expansion
We recently compiled a list of the 10 Best Low Cost Stocks To Buy Under $50. Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC is placed first on our list. Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC (NASDAQ:PSNY) tops our list for being one of the cheap stocks to buy. It is a Swedish EV company founded in 2017 and focuses on producing premium battery electric vehicles with a strong emphasis on innovation and sustainability. Its product lineup includes the Polestar 2 sedan, Polestar 3 and 4 SUVs, Polestar 5 grand-touring sedan, and the Polestar 6 roadster. As of mid-2025, Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC (NASDAQ:PSNY) is demonstrating strong operational momentum and expanding strategically. In Q2 2025, the company reported retail sales of 18,049 vehicles, marking a 38% year-over-year increase. Sales in the first half of 2025 rose by 51% compared to the same period in 2024, driven by increasing consumer demand and market penetration. In Q1 2025 alone, sales surged 76% year-over-year, with gross margins turning positive at 7%, aided by a favorable sales mix and cost control. To support future growth, the business is expanding its manufacturing capabilities through a strategic partnership with Volvo Cars. The upcoming Polestar 7, a premium compact SUV slated for launch in 2028, will be manufactured in Kosice, Slovakia. This decision enhances the corporation's production capacity, leverages Volvo's established infrastructure, and strengthens its position in the competitive electric SUV market. A fleet of electric light vehicles recharging their batteries in a parking lot. Additionally, the company secured a $200 million equity investment from PSD Investment Limited, linked to Geely's founder, bolstering its financial position to scale operations and roll out new models. While Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC (NASDAQ:PSNY)'s trajectory shows promise, it must continue addressing typical EV start-up challenges, including cost structure management and cash flow improvements. While we acknowledge the potential of PSNY as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. Charging India Forward
In five years, we see Statiq as the leading EV charging platform not just in India, but potentially in emerging international markets, says Akshit Bansal, Statiq This story appears in the July 2025 issue of Entrepreneur India. Subscribe » You're reading Entrepreneur India, an international franchise of Entrepreneur Media. When Akshit Bansal co founded Statiq in 2019, electric vehicles (EVs) in India were still viewed as a novelty, hindered by limited range, uncertain infrastructure, and scepticism from both investors and consumers. Today, as EV sales grow exponentially and policy pushes be come firmer, Bansal's startup is at the centre of a national mobility trans formation with over 8,000 chargers deployed over 70 Indian cities. "Sustainable mobility isn't a luxury, it's a necessity," Bansal says, reflect ing on the early motivation behind launching Statiq. "We saw a glaring gap in India's EV ecosystem, especial ly around reliable charging infrastruc ture. Our mission from day one was to make clean mobility practical and accessible for everyone." But for this transition to be viable, charging infrastructure must scale with it. This is where Statiq plays a critical role. "What truly motivated us was wit nessing how the lack of dependable charging options was holding back the EV revolution," Bansal explains. "We knew we had to build not just chargers but trust, convenience, and accessibil ity into the experience." While other companies focus on hardware deployment alone, Statiq distinguishes itself through its propri etary technology platform that powers the entire user journey from discover ing a charger and checking availability, to seamless payments and real-time support. "We go far beyond simply install ing EV chargers. We're building an intelligent, interoperable, and scalable ecosystem," Bansal notes. "Our plat form leverages IoT, machine learning, and predictive analytics to ensure maximum uptime and a hassle-free experience for users and fleet opera tors alike." With an easy-to-use mobile app, Statiq users can locate compat ible chargers, reserve slots, and pay digitally within seconds. On the backend, the system optimises energy distribution, flags maintenance needs, and enables dynamic load balancing. According to Bansal, one of the big gest hurdles to EV adoption remains public perception. "People still think EVs don't have enough range, or that charging is unreliable," he says. "But that's simply not true anymore." With over 8,000 chargers already on the ground and plans to add an other 20,000 by 2026, Statiq is setting ambitious benchmarks."In five years, we see Statiq as the leading EV charging platform not just in India, but potentially in emerging international markets," Bansal says. "We're not just powering vehicles—we're powering a national shift toward cleaner cities and smarter infrastructure."
