Love Island star Shakira Khan reportedly threatened to quit the ITV2 dating show after reaching breaking point in scenes that are yet to air on TV
Love Island beauty Shakira Khan has reportedly threatened to quit the ITV2 dating programme in footage that's yet to be aired. The 22 year old hasn't exactly had a smooth ride in the villa so far, with the reality star finding it tough with ex Harry Cooksley being in the villa.

Earlier this week, viewers expressed their worry for Shakira after she looked "exhausted", having admitted to pal Toni Laites that lingering emotions remained with Harry despite being partnered with Conor Phillips.

She later called time on her relationship with Conor, explaining to him that she couldn't provide him with "what he needs." Reports now suggest that Shakira considered abandoning the programme due to the drama surrounding Harry, the Mirror reports.

Speaking to The Sun, a source stated: "Shakira has been through the wringer and was already at breaking point over her heartbreak by Harry."
"When Harry made it exclusive with Helena, everything unravelled and she realised she wasn't ready to be with Conor properly. She did the brave thing by ending that, but then the floodgates opened and she just didn't want to be in the villa anymore."

They continued, explaining that Shakira visited the Beach Hut and asked to leave the villa, with the welfare team supporting her "through her emotions." Afterwards, she decided to stay.
Despite Shakira's turbulent journey in the villa so far, countless fans have taken to social media to praise how "mature" she's been throughout her love triangle chaos. "Shakira is the most respect, self aware, mature person in love island history, never mind the fact that she's only 22 #loveisland #loveislanduk," one fan stated.

Another posted: "Shakira is so real that she's willing to leave the villa without a man or winning instead of faking it with Conor till the end, if anything we can be proud of her for staying true herself but damn Harry?!? #LoveIslanduk #LoveIsland."
Earlier this week, Harry decided to take his relationship with Helena to the next stage, becoming exclusive with his fellow Islander. This was despite Harry offering a shoulder for Shakira to cry on after she decided to end things with Conor.
Tonight's episode will see Shakira confiding in Harry about her emotions, with Harry responding: "I can read between the lines a little bit, but I don't really know exactly what you're thinking."

Shakira then reveals that she still felt "very strongly" towards him and was unsure on how to deal with the situation.
"I just don't think that I really dealt with the situation how I should have dealt with it and maybe haven't processed things properly, and you and Helena being exclusive may have resurfaced things," she confessed.

Harry further tells Shakira that although it appears he has moved on, their relationship wasn't "one sided." He adds: "You'll probably disagree, but I felt it and like I say I haven't processed it and have tried to just get on with things."
He then has a conversation with Helena about his chat with Shakira, with Helena posing the question: "Does that change anything for you?"
ITV has several duty of care protocols in place, with Islanders undergoing training prior to entering the villa concerning language, behaviour and understanding mutual respect in relationships.

She said: 'You guys single people out and you make them feel bad about themselves. "And then when I called you out about it on the fire pit, you looked at me like I was crazy. Look at the way you made her feel.' Harry replied, 'We listened to you and heard you out,' but Toni pushed back: 'You do the same exact thing on a larger scale.' Dejon tried to calm things down, saying: 'We don't need to shout and scream and be troubled. Let's just have a conversation.' Conor also weighed in, adding: 'The better thing to do would be to say that to me if we're such good friends.' Harry later admitted fault, saying: 'Looking back, we should have done that, yeah, 100%.' Dejon agreed, adding: 'Of course we should have said that to you, man.' Shakira then addressed speculation about her feelings for Harry, making it clear that she had no intention of rekindling their relationship. 'Never at one point here in this whole experience has anyone come back me up after I've ended things with Harry,' she said. 'Have I ever said I want to get back with Harry?' Love Island fans praise Megan as she calls out Harry for his actions in brutal speech When Harry confirmed she hadn't, Shakira replied: 'Yeah, exactly. So everyone can shut the f*** up about it.' This year's edition of the ITV2 dating show has seen a long-running divide between the girls in the villa. For the most part it has mostly consisted of close pals Toni, Shakira and Yasmin against Meg, Helena, and Megan. Whilst the feud has been clear to see and has been hinted at many times in the villa, it was only during The Grafties that all six girls were forced to confront the issues head on. It came as Toni and Shakira collected the award for Best Double Act but fans were quick to slam this decision ahead of the series finale in just over a week's time. In the scenes, the group saw a video of Toni and Shakira expressing their disdain for Meg after a number of clashes with the star. They also took issue with Helena and for her close bond with Meg. As Meg pleaded that she was the same to the pair in front of their face, Toni insisted she was not as the divide was soon addressed. Yasmin quickly jumped in to insist there had been a "divide" from the start as many of the Islanders appeared to nod in agreement. Toni stated that the divide came from Meg, Helena and Dejon not being "warm and welcoming" and for going off on their own and leaving others out of their conversations - namely her, Shakira and Yasmin. It's not the first time fans have grumbled at show bosses by claiming the editing is "rigged" to portray Shakira and Toni negatively despite them being the ones who appear to have been isolated by Meg and Helena. Dannii Minogue set to make huge acting comeback alongside Coronation Street icon

Dannii Minogue started her career working on one of Australia's biggest soaps - and now she is teaming up with other soap legends for a brand new four part drama Dannii Minogue is set to make a triumphant return to acting - decades after walking away from her breakout soap role. The 53-year-old Australian may be known to millions for her music and TV judging career. ‌ Dannii has enjoyed chart success with smash singles including Put the Needle on It, All I Wanna Do, and I Begin to Wonder. And she won over even more fans when she served as a judge on hit series The X Factor from 2007 until 2010. ‌ More recently, Dannii has been playing cupid for boys and girls looking for love on the dating shows I Kissed A Boy and I Kissed A Girl on the BBC. But before any of these career achievements were made, Dannii enjoyed a career as an actress - breaking into the spotlight before her older sister, chart superstar Kylie Minogue, 47. ‌ Back in 1989, Dannii drew attention for playing Emma Jackson in the Aussie soap Home and Away. She landed the role after playing smaller roles on an array of TV shows - and she remained on Home and Away until 1990. Now, 35 years later, the star is to make a return to acting in a new Channel 5 drama called Imposter. She will appear in the show opposite ex-Corrie actress Kym Marsh, 49. ‌ The four part drama is already filming in Victoria, Australia, and follows a family that is torn apart by betrayal and murder. Neighbours icon Jackie Woodburne, 69, who has played Susan Kennedy since 1994, also features as the leader of the family. A source told The Sun:"Bosses have spent weeks trying to get Dannii and she finally put pen to paper just days before filming started. It's been decades since she's acted on the small screen and everyone at the channel is over the moon that she was able to make the dates work because she loved the script. "She started filming last week after meeting her fellow cast members." The Mirror has contacted representatives of Dannii and Channel 5 for comment. ‌ Imposter was announced earlier this month - with TV fans already excited by the news that Kym and Jackie would be united together on screen by the show. And the new series was announced alongside news that a string of other shows are being made; Number One Fan, Missed Call and The Family Secret, to returning shows The Hardacres and The Teacher. ‌ Deputy Chief Content Officer and Head of Scripted at Paramount UK, Sebastian Cardwell, said last week: "This new slate of scripted commissions showcases the breadth and ambition of 5's storytelling. "From brand new thrillers and character-driven mysteries to the much-anticipated return of audience favourites, we're continuing to build a rich and distinctive drama offering. "These titles reflect our commitment to delivering compelling, accessible British drama that resonates with viewers across the UK. We look forward to announcing further titles in the coming months."
