YAHOO POLL: Should Astronomer CEO Andy Byron have resigned?
Unless you've been living under a rock with no access to social media, then you're probably aware that there's a tech company called Astronomer whose CEO recently got caught snuggling with a woman who was not his wife at a recent Coldplay concert in Boston. Astronomer chief Andy Byron is holding his company's chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, in his arms when footage of their embrace is beamed up onto the stadium's jumbotron. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin says 'Oh look at these two" which prompts Cabot to quickly cover her face while Byron ducks to avoid the cameras. "Either they're having an affair or they're very shy," Coldplay's Martin accurately notes. Of course, someone was filming the entire awkward exchange and decided it would be best to blast the clip on social media. The video went viral and it didn't take internet sleuths long to identify who the couple were and create rumours of an alleged affair. The woman behind the viral video says she wasn't trying to cause any trouble when she posted it – but at the same time she's not exactly apologetic either. "Play stupid games... win stupid prizes," she was quoted as saying in an interview. Other polls YAHOO POLL: Does cutting public holidays help boost the economy? Astronomer launched an investigation at the weekend and it was announced shortly afterwards that Byron had resigned from his role. As of press time, there was no update on Cabot's position. 'As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,' the company's statement released Saturday reads. "Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO." While the whole episode was not been the kind of attention Astronomer would have wanted, some public relations experts have said the newfound fame could, ultimately, benefit the firm. What does it mean to be the head coach of the Boston Celtics?
What does it mean to be the head coach of the Boston Celtics? With famous greats like Red Auerbach, Bill Russell, Tommy Heinsohn, Bill Fitch, K.C. Jones, and Doc Rivers having held such a post to name just some of the legendary names helming the Celtics over the years, it is a certain level of rarified air to even be in the same conversation with names like these. And now current Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla is among them with a title to his name as coach of the Celtics, so the Rhode Island native knows something about the answer to that question. The man himself took a stab at answering it on a recent episode from fellow New England sports legend Julian Edelman's "Games with Names" podcast, Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what Mazzulla had to say about what it means to coach the Celtics.

Insider says Lakers are working on a 'consolidation' trade to avoid waiving Jordan Goodwin
Marcus Smart, a three-time All-Defensive first team selectee and the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season, is heading to the Los Angeles Lakers. On Saturday, he agreed to a buyout of his contract with the Washington Wizards and agreed to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers for $11 million over two years once he clears waivers. In order to actually be able to officially sign Smart, the Lakers need to clear some space under the first apron of the salary cap. They plan on waiving guard Shake Milton, but they need to make one more move in order to legally give Smart the contract he agreed to. They could waive guard Jordan Goodwin, whom they called up from the G League at midseason. But Goodwin showed promise as a potential 3-and-D player, and he may be someone they would want to keep around if possible. According to ClutchPoints Lakers insider Anthony Irwin, the team is working on a consolidation trade that they could execute very soon. Goodwin, a 26-year-old undrafted player, averaged 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals in 18.7 minutes as a member of the Lakers. He shot 38.2% from 3-point range and consistently hustled for loose balls and rebounds while playing some energetic defense. Ideally, L.A. would pull off a trade that would save it some money and clear a roster spot while bringing in a 3-and-D wing. But doing so won't be easy, especially if other teams around the league are dead-set against helping L.A. win its 18th NBA championship.
