Taylor Swift's dad, Scott Swift, recovering from quintuple bypass
The 73-year-old patriarch is 'doing fantastic,' following the surgery, a rep for the Grammy winner confirmed to the Daily News.
Swift Sr.'s procedure took place over a month ago and was not prompted by a heart attack, but something his doctor spotted during a checkup.
The rep also confirmed the entire family were with him during the surgery and recovery, including the Cardigan crooner, 35, mum Andrea — Scott's wife of 37 years — and Taylor's younger brother Austin.
Scott and Andrea, 67, were regularly spotted supporting their daughter during her record-breaking Eras Tour.
In spring 2024, he made headlines for allegedly assaulting a photographer in Australia when a Taylor rep said 'two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff into the water.' Local authorities ultimately declined to charge Papa Swift.
This isn't the first time the health of Taylor's parents has been made public.
In 2015, she revealed in a since-deleted Tumblr post that Andrea had cancer, hoping her family's experience would prompt fans to remind their parents 'to go get checked' themselves.
She opened up again in a 2019 essay that both parents 'have had cancer,' with Andrea 'fighting her battle with it again.
'it's taught me that there are real problems and then there's everything else,' said Taylor at the time, who had since learned to devote her 'worry, stress, and prayers to real problems.'

Taylor, the only Sarawakian Malaysian to be honoured with the award at this milestone event, delivered two standout performances — 'Quiet' from the musical Matilda and her award-winning rendition of 'Easy On Me' by Adele. Her rendition of 'Easy On Me' had earlier earned her top honours at the ASAF International Finals in Hong Kong earlier this year, where she emerged champion in the 'Pop Vocal (10–11 Years Old)' category, outperforming 17 other finalists. With the win, she became the first Sarawakian to clinch the title in that category. KUCHING (July 28): Sarawak's rising vocal talent Taylor Louise will represent Malaysia at the prestigious 'Asia Students Arts Festival (ASAF) 2025 Winner Showcase'. The 11-year-old from Kuching is set to perform at the Britten Theatre of the Royal College of Music this Aug 1, in conjunction with ASAF's 10th anniversary. The international event brings together outstanding young performers from all across Asia and Australia – each showcasing excellence in music, dance and other performing arts. Taylor made history as the first Sarawakian to win ASAF in her category, the 'Pop Vocal 10-11 Years Old'. 'It still feels like a dream. Wax lyrical: Taylor Swift gets lucky 13 Madame Tussauds statues
US pop megastar Taylor Swift will be honoured with 13 waxworks of her at Madame Tussauds venues around the globe, the museum said on Wednesday. In honour of Swift's lucky number, 13 of the waxwork museum's 22 branches will each receive a statue of the Love Story and Blank Space singer, in what it called the most ambitious project of its 250-year history. The statues were inspired by some of the 35-year-old songwriting sensation's looks from her record-shattering Eras Tour from 2023 to 2024. With 149 shows across the world over nearly two years, the tour raked in US$2bil, making it the most lucrative in music history to date. More than 40 artists worked for more than a year on the statues of Swift, one of the most acclaimed artists of her generation with 14 Grammy Awards.
