Why Zendaya was forced to put her wedding to Tom Holland on hold

Daily Mail4 days ago
Zendaya and her fiancé Tom Holland have been forced to delay their wedding, according to her trusted 'image architect' Law Roach.
'The process hasn't even started yet,' the 47-year-old stylist updated E! News.
'Zendaya is working on so many movies. She's now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.'
Indeed, the in-demand couple are co-starring in Destin Daniel Cretton's superhero flick Spider-Man: Brand New Day as well as Christopher Nolan 's big-screen adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey next year.
The 28-year-old bride-to-be has her hands full shooting Denis Villeneuve's fantasy flick Dune: Part Three, Kristoffer Borgli's romantic dramedy The Drama, DreamWorks animated movie Shrek 5, and the third season of HBO Max's drama Euphoria.
Zendaya (last name Coleman) has also signed on to produce and star as singer Ronnie Spector in Barry Jenkins' biopic Be My Baby, which is based on her 2022 memoir.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old groom teamed up with Austin Butler to portray the Whittington Brothers in Amazon MGM Studios' race car driving biopic called American Speed penned by Dan Wiedenhaupt.
Law teased that the two-time Emmy winner and Tom's nuptials might happen next year, gushing: 'I'm really excited because I know that they really love each other and they have for a really long time.'
The Challengers producer-star first sparked engagement rumors at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on January 6 while rocking a Jessica McCormack-designed diamond sparkler estimated to cost $500K.
The very next day, TMZ reported that Holland had 'got down on one knee' and popped the question 'between Christmas and New Year's Eve' at Zendaya's family home in Oakland, CA: 'It was romantic and not over the top.'
The London-born Englishman told Men's Health at the time: 'When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. [It'll just be] golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.'
The Oakland-born beauty and Tom were rumored to be a couple as far back as 2017 while promoting Spider-Man, but they finally confirmed the romance in 2021 with a long kiss in his $125K Audi sports car outside her mother's Silver Lake home.
Zendaya and Holland were last pictured together getting coffee in Iverness, Scotland on July 13 while on break from filming The Odyssey.
The BERO founder has taken on the role of Telemachus, the son of Greek king of Ithaca Odysseus, played by Matt Damon.
The former Disney Channel star is rumored to be playing the Greek goddess Athena, who serves as divine counselor to Odysseus and meddles with gods like her father Zeus in his quest to return home.
The 28-year-old bride-to-be has her hands full shooting Denis Villeneuve's fantasy flick Dune: Part Three, Kristoffer Borgli's romantic dramedy The Drama, DreamWorks animated movie Shrek 5, and the third season of HBO Max's drama Euphoria

The very next day, TMZ reported that Holland had 'got down on one knee' and popped the question 'between Christmas and New Year's Eve' at Zendaya's family home in Oakland, CA: 'It was romantic and not over the top'
Zendaya could also be playing Calypso, a nymph who keeps Odysseus captive by force on her island Ogygia for seven years while attempting to make him her immortal husband.
There's also a chance the Dune: Part Two action star could be playing Nausicaä, the beautiful daughter of King Alcinous who helps Odysseus when he's shipwrecked on her island.
Principal photography officially began February 25, and filming is also expected to take place in Greece, Morocco, and the United Kingdom.
The Universal Pictures 'mythic action epic shooting across the world using brand new IMAX film technology' is already scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026.
Oscar winner Anne Hathaway is rumored to be playing Odysseus' wife, Queen of Ithica Penelope, whom he's eager to reunite with following a perilous journey back home.
And Oscar winner Charlize Theron is said to be playing the witch goddess Circe in the 3K-year-old fantastical tale full of sirens and a cyclops.
The Odyssey ensemble cast also includes Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Samantha Morton, Will Yun Lee, and Mia Goth.

Tom Holland's stunt double is strapped to moving car in daring scenes as filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day kicks off in Glasgow

Tom Holland's stunt double was seen hard at work on Saturday as Glasgow was transformed into New York City to film the upcoming Spider-Man movie. Tom Holland and Zendaya will be returning to screen for their fourth Spider-Man movie, titled Brand New Day, which is slated for release in July 2026. Fans have already been waiting four years to the follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, and as filming finally kicked off, some very dramatic scenes were seen being filmed. A stunt double for leading actor Tom, 29 - who plays Peter Parker - was strapped to the roof of a moving vehicle, with excitement gearing up for the superhero venture. The nail-biting stunts were performed on top of a tank, with rehearsals taking place ahead of the scenes being filmed. The cast and crew were hard at work as they seemed to be planning some daredevil manoeuvres for the action film. A blacked-out Mercedes 4x4 AMG was seen guarding the area as they drove through the Scottish city. US flags have been erected on the sides of buildings while bright yellow taxis have been parked up in the city as Glasgow has been turned into New York City for filming. According to The Sun, producers planned to film in Liverpool but changed location following the devastating parade crash in the city on May 26, which left 109 people injured. Paul Doyle, 53, appeared in court earlier this month charged with seven offences including dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. In light of the crash, producers reportedly made the decision to relocate filming to Glasgow to be respectful to those affected by the incident. 'There were discussions about whether it was appropriate to stage big stunts, including car chases and explosions, in light of the awful incident,' a source told the publication. 'Filming is due to start in the coming days in Scotland so fans should keep their eyes peeled for webs on street corners.' A number of major roads will be closed in Glasgow over the coming days as production takes over the city, according to the Herald. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya, 28, were already in Scotland ahead of filming after shooting for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey in the country earlier this month. Daily Mail contacted Tom and Zendaya's representatives and Disney+ for comment at the time. Tom first appeared as Spider-Man in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War and made his solo debut in the 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, alongside Zendaya - who portrays his love interest MJ. He has appeared in another two Spider-Man movies - 2019's Far From Home and 2021's No Way Home - as well as other Marvel spin-offs. No Way Home finished on a dramatic cliffhanger which saw the entire world forget who Peter Parker is after his identity as Spider-Man was made public in the previous film, causing him endless issues. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see whether Peter will be able to pick things up again with MJ after she devastatingly forgot who he was altogether following Doctor Strange's spell. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya fostered a real-life romance on the set of Spider-Man as they began dating after starring as on-screen lovers. They got engaged in December of last year, but will not be tying the knot any time soon due to their busy filming schedules, according to Law Roach. Leading stars Tom and Zendaya (pictured in 2021) also fostered a real-life love story on the set of the Marvel movie as they began dating after starring as on-screen partners Zendaya's trusted stylist told E! News of the nuptials: 'The process hasn't even started yet [...].' Zendaya is working on so many movies. 'She's now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.' As well as co-starring in Brand New Day, the in-demand couple will also appear in Christopher Nolan 's big-screen adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey next year. Zendaya is also shooting Denis Villeneuve's fantasy flick Dune: Part Three, Kristoffer Borgli's romantic dramedy The Drama, DreamWorks animated movie Shrek 5, and the third season of HBO Max's drama Euphoria. Zendaya has also signed on to produce and star as singer Ronnie Spector in Barry Jenkins' biopic Be My Baby, which is based on her 2022 memoir.

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival: My first visit to the Highlands camping music festival

Three days of camping at a festival while having the chance to listen to my favourite artists only about an hour from my home all wasn't in my plans, but I'd say that I have no regrets. Having the chance to report on the three-day long Belladrum Tartan Festival right in the middle of the celebrations on Friday sounded like a dream come true after hearing so many great things about the festival from friends and fellow reporters. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad And then, when a few friends told me they were camping for the duration of the festival, I thought it was the perfect chance to join. So, in a spontaneous decision, I decided to swap out the far more comfortable bed waiting for me on Friday morning ahead of a long day of work for a thin sleeping bag in the middle of a cold campsite with hundreds of Belladrum fanatics. With my only other festival experience being MacMoray - a two-day event where 10,000 people pack out a field in Elgin - I didn't have many other experiences to compare it to. But on Thursday with my backpack half the size of me filled to the brim with clothes, video equipment, my tent and sleeping bag, I made my way to Belladrum along with around 20,000 others. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Belladrum is a three-day festival from Thursday to Saturday. | Ena Saracevic As soon as I departed on my train from Elgin to Inverness, it was clear that I wasn't the only one making the trip to the festival. 'You're all heading to Belladrum, aren't you?' the conductor asked a group of women, all kitted out in bright colours and bucket hats. And this only continued when I boarded the dedicated D&E coach transporting festival goers to and from 'Bella', which took me on the last leg to the festival in Kiltarlity. As the bus travelled around bendy Highland roads on the A862, there were laughs and chatter as groups of friends and families prepared to kick off their weekend at Belladrum. It was probably one of the only socially acceptable times for others to down cider and cocktail cans in a bus full of other passengers. I arrived in the evening and made the most out of my time by watching performances from The Pigeon Detectives, Torridon, and Dougie Burns and the Cadillacs. Natasha Bedingfield was also a highlight, with the singer shimmering under the spotlight in her Stevie Nicks-esque dress singing classic tunes like Unwritten and Pocketful of Sunshine. The crowd enjoyed every act too, swaying along to the beat as their favourite acts took to the stage. A cheery performance from the group Dougie Burns and the Cadillacs had everyone there dancing to their bluesy rock 'n' roll tunes. With 12 stages at Belladrum, it made me even more excited to explore and experience genres of music I hadn't really been exposed to before. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Putting up my tent in the dark around midnight while being overwhelmingly tired from my evening, I quickly became thankful that my friend with me knew how to do it and could help out. Afterall, it was my first time camping. This also came after navigating through the hundreds of tents all lined throughout the field we were on. It quickly became clear to me why I'd previously heard Belladrum to be 'the best' camping festival in Scotland. There were fields to suit many different people, including a general area, a family space and a field for campers who prefer the quiet rather than the hustle and bustle. When I woke up ready for a full day of reporting on Friday, it was also a chance to try out one of the many food stalls around the festival grounds. During the day itself, I witnessed flash mobs, an array of fancy dress costumes, impromptu bagpipe performances and a lot of new artists that I'm now a fan of. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad C-MAT's performance had thousands of festival goers captivated. I also managed to catch a brilliant performance from local glam rock band Bad Actress. I spoke to attendees About what makes Belladrum so special. One person told me: 'It's so chilled. It's a total family affair, it's great, everyone's relaxed and there's no trouble or hassle.' And I agree with every word. A flash mob that happened at Belladrum on Friday. | Ena Saracevic Despite it being a family festival, I'd say anyone could find something they enjoy there. Not only was Belladrum itself varied, but so were the attendees. Young and old, rock lovers and pop fanatics, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
