Aneet Padda Once Shared A Bizarre School Incident: 'Shaved My Eyebrows, Plucked My Eyelashes'
Saiyaara's Vaani, aka Aneet Padda, gained fame overnight following the film's success. The actor, previously seen in Prime Video's Big Girls Don't Cry, is tasting newfound success. Just eight days into its theatrical run, Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has turned out to be a box office sensation. Amid the film's soaring popularity, an old interview of Aneet has resurfaced, in which she spoke about how she once shaved both her eyebrows during her school days.
Recorded during the promotions of Big Girls Don't Cry in 2024, Aneet Padda candidly recounted a bizarre and hilarious school experience – one that caught her mother off guard and now has the internet in splits.
In the viral snippet from her chat with Mid-Day, Aneet shared, 'I don't know if it's a school memory exactly, but I remember this one time we had our annual theatre going on. And for some weird reason, when I came back home and had to remove all of my makeup, I decided to also shave both of my eyebrows and pluck like eight of my eyelashes. Then my mother comes home and she's like, 'Beta, what am I going to do with you? You have to go to school tomorrow.' And I'm like, 'I don't know, maybe it's trendy.' And ten years later, people are actually shaving their eyebrows now, so maybe I was onto something back then."
Meanwhile, Saiyaara broke records by earning Rs 21.25 crore on Day 1. The film has outperformed the first day collections of Murder 2 (Rs 6.95 crore), Aashiqui 2 (Rs 6.10 crore), and Half Girlfriend (Rs 10.30 crore). The film has also surpassed the the collections of Ek Villain (2014), which collected Rs 16 crore on its opening day, by becoming Mohit Suri's biggest opener ever. From 2225 screens in week one, Saiyaara is now running in packed 3650 screens and is set to have another record-breaking second week. The film earned Rs 190 crore at the box office in eight days, surpassing the records set by Bollywood A-listers' releases this year.
While Saiyaara marks Ahaan Panday's first-ever tryst with acting, Aneet Padda already had a foot in the door with ad films and projects like Big Girls Don't Cry and Revathy's Salaam Venky, where she acted alongside Kajol and Aamir Khan.

Recently turned 102 years old, the World War II veteran from Florida has decided to celebrate a milestone he missed nearly nine decades ago: his first bar mitzvah. And not just anywhere, it will be held at the Pentagon. Born in New York City, Terens marked his 102nd birthday with a festive brunch at a hotel in Delray Beach, joined by his second wife Jeanne (age 97), three children, eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. His granddaughter serenaded him with a cappella singing while he mambo danced with Jeanne. 'Best day of my life, believe it or not, and I've had so many,' Terens told The Post. 'I thought my wedding last year in Normandy was the best day of my life, but I think today topped it. And believe me, the best is yet to come. You ain't seen nothing yet.' Terens was previously married to his beloved first wife, Thelma, for 70 years. 'I felt her there in spirit,' he said. Why he never had a bar mitzvah until now? But that changed recently when Terens was speaking on a panel with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. A Pentagon rabbi overheard him express his lifelong wish. The idea took root immediately. 'That is definitely on my bucket list and that is truly going to happen,' he told The Post. 'It will be a sensational event. My entire family will be there along with friends. They'll all come. 'It's very emotional every time I go,' he told The Post. 'I have friends there that I long to see and that gives me a great deal of pleasure. But going with the veterans is very, very special. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump, says he owes his longevity to one key thing: low stress. 'I think I'm the richest guy in the world and I don't have any money in the bank,' he told The Post. 'I wouldn't trade my life with anyone in the world no matter who it was. I am happy just who I am and with what I have. I think I have more than anyone else in the world. I am the luckiest guy that God ever created.'
