12-year-old boy in northern Wisconsin returns home after missing for 21 hours, multi-agency search
Around 9:30 p.m. on April 28, deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office say they were called to a residence in the Patzau-Foxboro area for a report of a missing 12-year-old.

Deputies were then told that the child had gone missing around 9 p.m. after he didn't come back inside when he completed chores. Search efforts immediately began, including the usage of drones, K9s, and the Town of Summit Volunteer Fire Department.
Ultimately, search efforts were suspended around 2 a.m. until authorities began again later that morning.
Several agencies joined in the search efforts on April 29 throughout the day.
Deputies say the boy eventually returned home around 6 p.m., noting that it 'is still unclear where he was,' but foul play is not suspected. The boy was missing for roughly 21 hours.

Hiker with plans to explore CO peak vanishes, deputies say. Now, a body is found
A body matching the description of a missing New Hampshire man was found by a hiker near the summit of a Colorado mountain, sheriff's deputies said. The body is believed to belong to Russell Hardy, 55, who was reported missing June 13 after coming to Colorado Springs 'with plans to hike and explore Pikes Peak,' the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said in a June 17 post on Facebook. Identificationof the body will be confirmed by the county coroner's office, deputies said. The coroner's office also will determine a cause of death, according to deputies, who said foul play isn't suspected and instead 'this appears to be a tragic outcome of a man confronting the challenges of nature.' Hardy got to Colorado Springs on June 10 and was supposed to be back home within a couple of days, deputies said. A post made to social media put him by Crags Trailhead on June 11, according to deputies, who said his rental car was found at a trailhead. Rescuers searched for him, including using K9s and drones, deputies said. The hiker found his likely remains about noon June 16 near the Pikes Peak summit, according to deputies. On a GoFundMe page, Hardy's family said climbing the mountain 'was one of his lifelong dreams.' He reached the top and died after a fall heading down amid bad weather, his family said on the page, noting that they're taking some comfort knowing he achieved his goal 'and passed doing something he truly loved.' Pikes Peak, which stands at more than 14,000 feet tall, is west of Colorado Springs.

Beaverton home invasion, assault prompts hunt for suspect
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Detectives are seeking information after they say a Beaverton woman was assaulted by a home invader on Monday. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home near Southwest Bridle Hills Drive and Southwest 161st Drive where a woman said an unidentified man had entered her home and assaulted her both physically and sexually. The woman said she didn't recognize the man because he took steps to conceal his identity. Motorcyclist dies after crashing into construction vehicle in North Portland Authorities said they conducted an extensive search for the suspect, which included using K9s and drones, but they weren't able to find anyone. Detectives said they learned that the victim had been receiving threats from Luis Alberto Garcia, 31. However, Garcia didn't match the description of the suspect and had an alibi at the time of the attack. Although not the suspect, authorities said they do think Garcia was connected to the incident. On Wednesday, he was taken into custody on unrelated charges after a search warrant was served at a home in Cornelius. Officials are asking anyone in the area of the incident to check their surveillance cameras from 10 to 10:45 p.m. on June 9 for any suspicious activity.
