Halle Berry awkwardly rejects boyfriend Van Hunt's marriage proposal
The Monster's Ball actress, 58, and the musician went public with their romance in 2020, after being introduced by his brother, and they have been inseparable ever since.
During an appearance on the Today Show on Wednesday, which marked their first joint interview, the couple opened up about taking the next step in their relationship.
The 55-year-old arrived with a bouquet of flowers for his partner, who lovingly declared: 'When you find your person, you find your person. And I have found my person, finally.'
According to the outlet, talk turned to whether the Seconds of Pleasure star was planning to get down on one knee any time soon – when he confirmed that he already has.
'So I put out the proposal, and it's still on hold as you can see,' he told the host. 'It's just out there floating. Maybe you can encourage her.'

Halle laughed through the segment, and shared her reasons for why she hasn't given Van an answer just yet.
'Well, I've been married three times,' she continued. 'Van has been married once, and so no, we don't feel like we have to get married to validate our love in any way.
'But I think we will get married just because, out of the people I've been married to, this is the person I should have married [to].
'And I feel like I should, we should get married, but it's not because we feel like we have to. I think it's something that we would like to do just because we want that expression.'

Halle was previously married to David Justice, with the former couple tying the knot on New Year's Day in 1993 – but they went their separate ways three years later, and finalized their divorce in 1997.
Following this, she walked down the aisle with Eric Benet in 2001 after two years of dating – but it wasn't to last and their separation was complete in January 2005.
The Oscar-winner met third husband Olivier Martinez on the set of Dark Tide, in 2010, following her split from ex-partner Gabriel Aubry – who she shares daughter Nahla with.
They shared the news of their engagement in 2012, and got married the following April, before welcoming son Maceo together a few months later.

The pair announced their split in October 2015 and finalized their bitter divorce in 2023.
Halle and Van – who has a son from a previous relationship – went public with their romance in September 2020, but had reportedly been dating for 'several months' before this.
The following year, she revealed that they held a 'commitment ceremony' which was overseen by her son – who suggested they should tie the knot.
Appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she later explained that they weren't actually married yet, clarifying: 'This was a ceremony by an 8-year-old in the back seat of the car who said, 'Mom, you should get married to him.'

'I said, 'Really, I should marry to him?' He said, 'Yeah, I pronounce you man and wife.' So we're like, 'Oh, okay. We're married!' But we're not married.
'So that's our commitment ceremony. It's silly. It's sweet.
'What I love about it is, when you blend families, it's really hard. So the good news is, my kids are comfortable and that's all that matters. If they ain't happy, we ain't happy. That's all you need. You just need them to be happy.'

Prince William's unexpected response after Oscar-winning actress's cheeky request
When one Oscar-winning actress was awarded her damehood at Buckingham Palace, her bold request of Prince William left the royal bashful and laughing Iconic British actress Emma Thompson has had several memorable encounters with Prince William over the years, including being asked to be a presenter at the first annual Earthshot Prize Awards, and a hilarious video call between the unlikely pals. But arguably the most unforgettable moment they shared happened in 2018, when Thompson was invited to Buckingham Palace to receive her damehood for her outstanding contribution to the arts and entertainment. Reflecting on the moment while on the press tour for her 2021 film Cruella, she revealed that she cheekily asked William for a kiss. Speaking via a video link, Ms Thompson joked about her unique request to Prince William, who has a knack for forging friendships with A-list film stars, as he handed over her award. She explained: "Prince William was absolutely fantastic. I wrote him a fan letter afterwards. His face and body language, so kind and generous to every single person. I've known him since he was little really. I've always liked him. "I couldn't believe how tall he'd got. I did say, 'I suppose I better not kiss you' and he said, 'Probably better not.' I asked him about him and he said, 'Will you please stop talking about me, it's about you.' What a nice man." Both William and Princess Kate had another memorable moment with the actress several years ago, as the Waleses spoke with Emma Thompson and her Cruella co-star Emma Stone in a video call. The group discussed plans to host NHS Charities Together and NHS staff at a unique drive-in cinema screening of the new film at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, and got side-tracked as they joked about behind the scenes secrets. Speaking to the couple ahead of the screening, Thompson said: "Wait till you see the clothes, it's unbelievable." Then, gesturing to Kate, the actress said "you're going to want all of Emily's [Emma Stone's] clothes, they're so amazing. Obviously you won't be able to wear them in public but they're so brilliant." Thompson - who played the role of The Baroness in the film - also shared an excellent story with the royal couple about the time she didn't want to wait in the traffic and decided to travel on the London Underground in her eccentric movie costume. She revealed: 'One day when we were shooting there was a demonstration on in London and our car couldn't get to where we were shooting in Covent Garden so I said we've got to get out and we've got to go by Tube. "I was in a wig and huge make-up, you'll see my eyelashes, I look like a llama. And we got on the Tube to go to Covent Garden and I thought it's going to be fine, it's 9 o'clock Sunday morning, there won't be anyone on the train. It was rammed, rammed and no-one took the slightest bit of notice, they all clearly thought I was a drag act on the way home!" Kate then asked the pair whether or not Cruella was a fun film to shoot, with Emma Stone revealing: "It was so much fun, we were all over London, we were in front of Liberty. "They transformed Carnaby Street into 70s London which was amazing and then we were in front of Buckingham Palace at one point. I was riding a motorcycle around The Mall." Prince William joked that "we should have had you stopped, Emma, that's very dangerous!"

Actor Gary Busey pleads guilty to sexual offence at horror convention
Actor Gary Busey has pleaded guilty to a sexual offence stemming from an appearance at a 2022 horror convention in New Jersey, according to his representatives and court records. The 81-year-old Buddy Holly star's manager, Ron Sampson, said in an email on Friday that the actor admitted to touching a woman's buttocks 'over clothing during an 8-10 second photo op'. Busey entered a guilty plea to a single count of criminal sexual contact during a virtual hearing in state court in Camden on Thursday. The actor had been accused of inappropriately touching at least three women at the Monster-Mania Convention at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, a South Jersey town and suburb of Philadelphia. Organisers of the event acknowledged at the time that an unnamed celebrity guest was 'removed from the convention and instructed not to return' and that affected attendees were encouraged to contact police. Busey had been scheduled as a featured guest for all three days of the event. He was initially charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact and one count of harassment. Busey's lawyer Blair Zwillman confirmed on Friday that the other charges were dropped as part of a plea deal reached with prosecutors. The actor faces up to five years' probation and fines when he is sentenced September 18. 'In my view Mr Busey was 'overcharged' probably based on his star status,' Mr Zwillman said in an email. 'He could have just as easily been charged with the disorderly persons offence of harassment by 'offensive touching'.' Camden County prosecutors did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment on Friday. Busey is widely known as a character actor, largely in supporting roles, though he came to attention and was nominated for an Oscar for best actor for playing the title role in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story.
