New true crime show on Netflix is 'must-watch' series about tragic event

Netflix has added a new true crime series to its collection that has been described as 'essential viewing' and 'a shocking documentary that everyone's got to see'
Netflix has released a gripping new true crime documentary, hailed as 'essential viewing' and available for a limited time only. The platform, renowned for its compelling documentaries, is kicking off the month with fresh additions to its library, including a series that's bound to have viewers glued to their screens.
The four-part series, Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers, revisits the harrowing terror attacks on London's transport system two decades ago, featuring first-hand accounts and previously unseen footage. It delves into the tragic events of July 7, 2005, when four suicide bombers launched an attack on the capital's transport network, resulting in the deaths of 52 people and injuries to more than 770 others.

The British Transport Police (BTP) revealed at the time that three explosions occurred on the London Underground around 8.50am near Aldgate, Edgware Road, and Russell Square stations.

A fourth bomb detonated at 9.47am aboard a bus rerouted through Tavistock Square, close to the BTP's headquarters at the time.
Luke Eccleston, a movie and TV content creator, took to TikTok to recommend Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers to his followers.
He urged: "Stop whatever you're doing because Netflix have just dropped a brand new four-part limited series, and trust me when I say that this is an essential viewing. It's a shocking documentary that everyone's got to see."
Luke shared insights into the intense Netflix documentary, detailing the harrowing terror attacks and subsequent investigation, featuring interviews with survivors and the prime minister at the time, Tony Blair.
The TV fan praised the streaming giant's work, saying: "Now, Netflix have done such a good job with this documentary, as it's such a great and serious documentary where it [doesn't just] delve into the actual original attacks, but [an incident] two weeks later [when] an innocent man was shot.

"It's genuinely heartbreaking to see what happened and how it genuinely shocked London so please make sure you get this on your watch list."
The tragic case of Jean Charles de Menezes - the 27-year-old misidentified as a terrorist involved in a failed attack later that month and fatally shot by police at Stockwell Underground station - is also covered in the documentary.
The perpetrators of the 7/7 bombings were eventually identified as Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain, and Germaine Lindsay.
Luke's TikTok followers echoed his recommendation, with comments pouring in about the documentary.
One viewer commented: "Great doc, binged it all already." Another recommended it as a "must watch Netflix series."
A third shared: "Watched the first two parts and great watch so far. Awful seeing what happened."

'I visited Chinese city which is like sci-fi movie where robots serve you'

China is a popular travel destination in Asia and one tourist visited a busy city in the country and shared everything that blew him away during his three-day trip China, one of the world's most populous and powerful nations, is a magnet for tourists thanks to its booming economy, vast military, status as a manufacturing powerhouse, and cutting-edge technology. The country's iconic attractions like Beijing's Great Wall and Forbidden City are major draws for tourists. With its deep historical roots, stunning natural scenery, and dynamic culture, not to mention the delectable Chinese cuisine, China continues to draw visitors from all corners of the globe. Riyan Ruparelia, a content creator known as Bearded Travels, took to TikTok to share his travel experiences in Chongqing, one of China's major central cities. Chongqing is celebrated for its rugged terrain and has earned the nickname 'Mountain City', nestled near the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers. ‌ In his TikTok video, Riyan exclaimed: "China is living in the future so here's everything that blew my mind on my most recent three-day trip to Chongqing. ‌ "Starting off with the hotels, the majority of which have smart rooms where you can control pretty much everything from the click of a button, including this huge projector screen and they literally have smart toilets everywhere." He stayed at the ISEYA Panoramic Hotel, where room service is delivered by "an entire robot", which he was amazed by. The tourist was amazed by the city's "insane" engineering feats, noting that Chongqing was "built on a mountain" and has a population of over 30 million people. Riyan remarked: "You can be in a main square with shops and restaurants all around you and then realise you're on the 22nd floor and if that's not enough, the engineers actually built an entire train track into a residential building which then proceeds to wrap around a mountain, and believe it or not the train doesn't make any noise whatsoever." The travel content creator was also impressed by the prevalence of electric cars in China, many of which were unknown brands that offered "super luxurious" features and "absolutely incredible performance". ‌ Riyan continued: "And if you're in two minds you can get a bike slash car but what blew my mind most was the skyline at night time. This city lights up and it feels like you're in some sort of sci-fi movie. "The drone shows every Saturday are next level so if you want a taste of the future then make sure to pay China a visit because it will really surprise you." According to travel experts at China Discovery, tourists flock to Chongqing mainly for the Yangtze River cruise which offers breathtaking views of the majestic Three Gorges Dam. Besides the inspiring landscape, Chongqing is renowned for its local cuisine, most notably, the spicy hot pot. The clip on TikTok by Riyan has racked more than up over 80 comments. One user said: "Omg I can't get my head over this! This is crazy! I do want to visit China!" Another user was floored by the advancement, saying: "They are so far ahead it's amazing."

Dog trainer shares verdict on allowing pets on home furniture

The canine behaviourist spoke out about whether dogs should be given free rein of sofas, beds and household furniture Should you allow your dog to sleep on furniture? It's a long-standing debate that often divides pet owners, but a recent take from one trainer might just settle the matter. Will Atherton, a canine behaviourist from Derbyshire, boasts years of experience in his field, having worked with many pups with all kinds of behavioural issues, including biting. He said people often ask him whether dogs should be allowed on sofas, beds, and other furniture - and gave a detailed reply. ‌ "Should your dog be allowed on the furniture?" he asked in a recent TikTok. "And that's a question I get all the time. And for me, it completely is up to you. I have a few little rules about it." ‌ First and foremost, Will encouraged viewers to consider whether their pet has any recurring attitude issues. Although he didn't outline what these might include, they could be anything from aggressive tendencies to overexcited jumpiness. When a dog is a major nuisance at home, Will implied that it might be best not to let them on the sofa. But if the dog is generally well-mannered, it should be fine as long as clear limits are established. He explained: "If you don't have any big behaviour problems with your dog, then I think you can absolutely have them on the furniture if you want them. If you don't want them on the furniture, that's completely fine. READ MORE: Love Islander Demi Jones says she brushed off key symptom before cancer diagnosis "But if they are going to go on the furniture, my thought is that they shouldn't be allowed to have free access to jump up and off whenever they want. It should look like this." To demonstrate his point, Will gestured to Sully, a large dog perched on the floor beside his sofa. Will then continued: "They should wait with good manners, sitting, looking up to you for guidance and direction, and waiting for you to say, 'up'." ‌ When commanded, Sully jumped up to sit next to Will on the sofa. "And they can jump on and they can have a cuddle," he said. "And the most important thing is that just as well-mannered as getting on the furniture with you, it should be just as easy - Sully, off." Within seconds, Sully once again returned to sitting on the floor, as instructed. Bearing this in mind, Will summarised: "If you can do that and you don't have any problems with your dog elsewhere and you want them to come and have a cuddle on the sofa, then do so." ‌ Even while settling the dogs-on-furniture debate, Will's video still divided fans online. Among the viewers in disagreement, one person wrote: "I don't have to ask anyone to have access to my sofa, why should my dog?" Another person also wrote: "I am not a control freak," as someone else said: "My dogs are a part of my family, so they can go wherever they want to without asking to go there." However, others completely agreed with Will's perspective. One user wrote: "My boys love being on the couch and I love having a snuggle with them on the couch, but they know when I say they need to get off, they do! And same for coming up! "It's so refreshing to hear a trainer who doesn't want to just limit a dog's life and surroundings and doesn't guilt owners for wanting to share the space." Meanwhile, another wrote: "Mine has free access to the furniture but when I tell him to get off, he does."

I tried this Glasgow restaurant days before it closes

For years, it has been on my list to try but life always got in the way. Then, last week, the popular restaurant announced it would close for around 60 days for a multi-million-pound refurbishment. I was struck by the news and immediately decided it was finally time to pay them a visit - I cannot wait another two months. I secured a reservation and invited a friend to join me. When we arrived at Ashton Lane, I was taken aback by the building. I have walked past it many times but I never really looked at it. It seemed old and crumbling, with most of the lettering missing from its signage. READ NEXT: I tried Glasgow's new viral TikTok food - but what is in it? (Image: Newsquest) (Image: Newsquest) (Image: Newsquest) But as soon as we walked inside, I forgot all about it. The space was homey, welcoming and filled with life, lending a wonderful atmosphere for a nice dinner. We were quickly seated and I could barely look away from the beautiful indoor plants long enough to choose what to eat. I love restaurants which make me feel comfortable, even if their price point is high, which is definitely the case here. With a main course and a side costing up to £42, this establishment is definitely a once-in-a-while treat for me. The wine list looked well put-together but on this occasion, I opted for a Diet Coke, which, in retrospect, was a mistake. This is because my friend's mocktail was just the perfect balance of sweet and sour - luckily, he let me have a few sips. It came with shallots and a caramelised onion purée. I had it with a peppercorn and whisky sauce and sourdough bread. My friend also had the same. Although I love ordering two different things and trying them both, we were just both too excited about the beef. The meal was absolutely delicious, with the sauce and the meat combining perfectly. But for me, the real highlight was the onion pureé. It was outstanding. Finally, the bread was perfect for soaking up the rest of the delicious sauce. It was a wonderful experience and I wish I had come to the Ubiquitous Chip earlier. Now I have to wait for 60, then find another excuse to splurge.
