When K-pop Meets YouTube Fame: A Mukbang Like No Other
Imagine your favorite K-pop idols teaming up with a YouTuber who has more subscribers than the population of some cities! That's exactly what happened when Candy Shop-yes, the girl group that's all over your feed, joined forces with JaeYeol ASMR, a creator boasting over 5 million followers.
This isn't just any collab; it's a full-blown dessert mukbang (eating show) that's got the internet talking.
On July 2nd, the "JaeYeol ASMR" channel dropped a video featuring Candy Shop's Soram, Sui, Sarang, and Julia. The girls didn't just eat; they crafted wild, colorful desserts using everything from ice cream and chocolate to fizzy drinks. Picture blue and pink creations that look straight out of a K-drama fantasy sequence basically, the stuff you wish you had during those late-night study sessions.
Viral Memes, Dessert Madness, and ASMR That'll Make You Drool
Here's where it gets extra spicy: the desserts weren't just for show. The group took on viral meme-inspired treats like the "Ttung Ttung Ttung Sahur" and "Tralalaero Tralalala" macarons, which are basically the South Korean internet's answer to the Dalgona coffee craze. The girls didn't just eat-they went full ASMR, making every crunch, slurp, and giggle sound like pure serotonin for your ears.

Soram and Julia, in particular, got hands-on, helping JaeYeol whip up the desserts before diving into the eating challenge. Their reactions? Totally relatable. Think: "OMG, what IS this flavor?!" and "This is so much better than exam snacks!" The energy was so infectious, it's no wonder the video is blowing up with MZ generation fans (that's Gen Z and Millennials, for the uninitiated).
More Mukbangs Coming-And Why Indian Fans Are Loving It
If you thought this was a one-off, think again.
After the dessert fest, Soram and Julia teased another round-this time, a "pink mukbang." So, yes, more sugar rushes and meme-worthy moments are on the way.
It's not hard to see why this collab is resonating with Indian youth. The whole vibe is like your favorite Bollywood celebs doing a food challenge with a top YouTuber-think Ranveer Singh and CarryMinati going wild over gulab jamun ASMR. The blend of pop culture, food, and internet humor is universal, and honestly, who doesn't love watching celebs let loose over dessert?
A Sweet Reflection-Why This Collab Hits Home
Watching Candy Shop and JaeYeol ASMR go all-in on dessert madness feels oddly familiar-like those late-night hostel parties where everyone chips in to make Maggi or tries weird food combos just for laughs. It's about the joy of sharing, the thrill of trying something new, and the pure fun of not taking yourself too seriously. Whether you're in Seoul or Surat, that's something we all get.
Sometimes, the best moments happen when you mix a little K-pop, a dash of YouTube, and a whole lot of dessert.

Kalakshetra gears up for spectacular overhaul with light show, museum

1 2 3 4 5 6 Guwahati: Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra Society (SSKS) gears up for a series of cultural and infrastructural upgrades, including a light and sound show, a musical fountain, and new landmark projects such as a museum dedicated to Dr Bhupen Hazarika, a theatre experience centre, and a state-of-the-art 800-seater auditorium. Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a post on X on Thursday, shared a video of Kalakshetra and announced that the revamped amphitheatre and light and sound show are "coming soon". The storyline for the light and sound show is based on the life and journey of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev -- the great Vaishnavite saint and social reformer of Assam. "The light and sound show is set to be open to the public in Oct or Nov, while the musical fountain show is scheduled for Aug or Sept," said SSKS secretary Sudarsan Thakur. The construction of a new museum based on the life and works of 'Dr Bhupen Hazarika' will start in Sept, and the new auditorium — featuring advanced acoustic technology — is expected to be inaugurated around Sept or Oct. Once completed, it will become the second largest auditorium within the Kalakshetra premises, next only to the Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium, which has a 1,250-seat capacity, Thakur said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Newick: If You Were Born Between 1945-1974 You Could Be Eligible For This British Seniors Get Quote Undo As part of its theatre archive project, the SSKS is also developing the theatre experience centre — the first of its kind in the country — on the ground floor of the new auditorium. Designed to showcase Assam's rich theatrical heritage through high-tech innovation, the centre will feature cutting-edge installations such as a 3D hologram stage, immersive 3D-2D screens, gallery-on-demand modules, and interactive video kiosks. The centre will celebrate Assam's centuries-old theatrical traditions while projecting a future-focused vision of creativity and technology, Thakur added.
