The Scottie Scheffler fart-gate took a brand new twist. On the 17th hole at the British Open last Thursday, when Scheffler was chipping to the green, the broadcast feed picked up someone passing gas. While some thought a fan was the culprit, Scheffler completely changed the narrative this week, the New York Post reports. Scheffler was featured on Barstool Sports' 'Pardon My Take' podcast and shed light on who is really to blame for the incident — himself. 'Yeah, that was me,' Scheffler admitted on the show. 'Oh yeah, that was me. 'You're out there for like six hours, you're eating some different food over there. Some stuff is going to happen. 'You never know with the boom mics there, you never know what they're going to pick up. I'm definitely surprised it hasn't happened more in the past picking up stuff like that. I literally didn't think anything about it then after we got inside, Xander [Schauffele] was showing me the video. He pulls up the video and I see myself standing on 17, and I'm like, 'Oh, I know what this is.'' Now that the truth is out, the gas might've helped fuel his shot as Scheffler almost chipped it straight into the hole. Scheffler finished Thursday 3-under par and continued to ride high into the weekend before he ran away with the British Open crown, his first time winning that major. The chasing group behind him never got within four strokes on the final day. Scheffler, before winning the event, was the world No. 1 golfer and the betting favourite to win the Claret Jug. 'It is a pretty special feeling,' Scheffler said after winning. 'It was a tough week; I battled hard all weekend. Today, once again, was a battle, but [I] played some really good golf. I'm fortunate to be standing here holding the trophy.' The British Open now gives Scheffler the third of the four major trophies in golf, as he needs the U.S. Open to complete the career grand slam.

Snow White star Rachel Zegler quits Evita mid-show in London
Rachel Zegler left Evita mid-performance on Thursday due to a mystery illness and did not return. The actress's departure was announced during intermission, per a People reporter who was present. Zegler — who plays the lead, former Argentinian politician and activist Evita Perón, in the play — has yet to address why she suddenly exited or provided a health update. In March, it was revealed that Zegler had been chosen to play Perón in the West End's Evita. 'Evita has been such an important musical to me since I was a little girl, when my dad and I would sing Don't Cry for Me Argentina together on my back patio,' the West Side Story star told Deadline. 'The opportunity to bring Jamie Lloyd's singular, visionary ideas to life onstage is an honour unlike any other.' She continued, 'The stage has always felt like home to me, and I can't wait to make my West End debut in such great company.' The casting came after Zegler's live-action version of Snow White bombed at the box office following a series of controversial remarks and rumours of a feud between her and co-star Gal Gadot. Her final performance at the London Palladium is scheduled for September 6th.

Goodrem married Matthew Copley at a 12th century cathedral in Malta, where he proposed, and wore three gowns by two of her favourite Australian designers when she walked down the aisle last month. In the latest pictures shared to her Instagram, Goodrem gave further insight into her celebrations where she was surrounded by her closest friends and family. In the romantic snaps, Goodrem posed against a stunning scenic backdrop before being joined by her new hubby as the pair both flashed a satisfied smile. 'I always knew what I wanted my wedding dress to be,' she told Vogue earlier this month. 'And I knew the perfect designer for it. Paul [Vasileff, creative director and designer of Paolo Sebastian] and I connected the second I got engaged, and we started working together immediately. I am very lucky I get to wear beautiful dresses as part of my job, so I wanted this one to feel super personal and very special.' The resulting lace gown 'was structured, yet still delicate and feminine', Goodrem said. 'It was a statement piece but a fairytale dress. The sweeping train and the tulle cathedral veil perfectly suited the style of the wedding and the surroundings.'
