ALBAWABA - Black Clover fans are in for a treat as reports confirmed that the TV anime is returning with a new sequel after 4 long years of hiatus, excluding the 2023 Netflix film, Sword of the Wizard King.
First confirmed by Shueisha in the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #32, news about Black Clover's return flooded social media as fans took to platforms such as X (formerly known as Twitter) and voiced their anticipation.
Rumors about its comeback were first ignited by the popular Japanese magazine, Jump Giga, which revealed the alleged return with an ad. At the time, both Shueshia (the publisher of Black Clover's manga) and Studio Pierrot (the company behind the anime adaptation) remained silent about the matter in question.
Black Clover TV Anime has officially confirmed a Sequel/Season 2 to be in production in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #32.
More details will be revealed in the future. pic.twitter.com/Hpxf7Uk63x — Shonen Jump News (@WSJ_manga) July 3, 2025
The popular anime rose to the top charts among shonen fans despite caveats in production quality, pacing, and voice acting (Asta's voice at the beginning arc).
In our opinion, what elevates Black Clover from similar shows in the genre is its excellent fight scenes, well-crafted setting, and beloved characters (especially the Black Bulls members, including their captain Yami).
The upcoming sequel is expected to adapt the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc from the manga, in reference to Pierrot's adaptation up to this point. According to many fans, the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc features intense fights and is considered one of the best arcs to come out for the ongoing series.
We just hope Studio Pierrot gives Black Clover the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War treatment in terms of production quality, rather than reverting to the weekly episode format.
A seasonal approach would give animators the time they need to deliver something truly great, instead of pressure due to time constraints, as visible in the anime's prequel.

Meet Ani: Elon Musk's new AI anime girl companion with an 'NSFW' mode

ALBAWABA - Tech billionaire and xAI CEO Elon Musk recently went viral on social media after revealing "Ani," Grok's new AI anime girl companion. Many took to social media, resembling Ani to Misaki, a character from the hit anime and manga, Death Note. Alongside Ani, a cartoonish red panda named 'Rudy' was also revealed as a Grok companion. By the time of reporting, the new companions are exclusive to SuperGrok users, which costs a hefty $30 monthly subscription. Musk described this release as a "soft launch," stating further that they are developing an easier method for users to interact with the companions, instead of enabling them via Grok's settings. According to Testing Catalog News on X (formerly known as Twitter), users interacting with Ani can toggle an 'NSFW' mode upon reaching level 3 with her. Additionally, social media users revealed that there's a mode of Ani wearing lingerie, and 'NSFW' clips of the anime AI companion are reportedly swarming X. Elon fans say that Ani resembles Misaki from Death Note, as both characters are very similar in appearance due to the blonde hair with pigtails and goth clothing. Grok hints at what's to come next for its companions Hints reveal that other AI companions are on the way, with a new character named "Chad" and an unknown girl in development. It seems xAI is working hand in hand with San Francisco-based Animation Inc. to produce the 3D models in question. However, it's still unclear whether xAI acquired the company or it's just a collaboration. Meet Ani & Bad RudyYour new AI friends 😬Grok's new 3D animated companions for SuperGrok subscribers. We still have Saturday and Sunday overseas, but domestic is leaning deeper toward this latest Man of Steel. Superman, directed by James Gunn, is predicted to gross $210M+ globally. This is slightly higher than before the weekend, but Sat/Sun play could change that. Fandango Instagram profile \Asia is soft; thus, Superman faces challenges there. This should not be surprising. This tops all comps. China made $2.4M until Friday, including sneaks. Superman's market failure is expected. The ultimate full-run prediction is slightly over $11M. As is known, it does.
