Princess Eugenie beams as she takes selfies with Meghan Markle's BFF Misha Nonoo during day out with the Royal Family at Ascot
Princess Eugenie beamed as she took a selfie with one of Meghan Markle 's closest friends while attending Royal Ascot last week.
The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, 35, had joined other members of the royal family, including the King and Queen, last Friday and Saturday at the Berkshire racecourse.
Putting on a chic display, Eugenie stunned in a stylish wide-brimmed hat and flattering dress featuring a billowing white skirt and a square-shouldered brown top.
King Charles appeared full of affection as he kissed the hand of his niece, while Eugenie was also embraced by her cousin, Zara Tindall.
Mother-of-two Eugenie was also seen chatting and taking selfies with Misha Nonoo, a close friend and confidante of Meghan Markle, as they caught up in the royal enclosure.
Earlier that day, designer Misha, 40, was also seen chatting with the princess and Zara Tindall, with the rest of the royals in the background.
Misha has long been a mutual friend of Eugenie and the Duchess of Sussex, who knew each other even before Meghan and Harry met.
Eugenie has been said to have the 'most tricky' position in the royal family - remaining an ally of the estranged Prince Harry while also close with her relatives in the UK.
She was the first member of the Royal Family to publicly visit Harry in California, two years after he quit senior duties.
Her husband Jack Brooksbank even enjoys a 'bromance' with the Duke of Sussex, 40.
However, Eugenie's mother, Fergie, has made a series of barbs against the couple, previously hinting they 'cannot have it both ways' when it comes to being a part of the royal circle.
In fact, Eugenie was first said to have known of Meghan through Misha, who was their mutual friend - and had even met her before Harry did.
Eugenie and her then boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, were at a party in Soho House in Toronto in 2016 when Harry and the Suits star were first seen together.
In the early days of Meghan and Harry's relationship, Eugenie and her now-husband Jack went on double dates with the couple.
They also visited Toronto, Canada, to see the pair after the Prince had travelled to be with Meghan during her time filming legal drama Suits.
The cousins and their partners dressed up in Halloween costumes for a final night out before their relationship was revealed on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
Speaking to her friend Ellen in a surprise talk show interview in November 2021, Meghan explained how she and the Prince enjoyed a party with Eugenie and Jack days before the news of their relationship broke.
Princess Eugenie is caught between the warring factions of the Windsors because of her close relationships with so many family members
Speaking about the event in 2016, she told Ellen: 'He came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well, and the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple.
'It was a post-apocalypse theme, so we had all this very bizarre costuming on, and we were able to just have one fun final night out.'
In 2022, Eugenie was the only royal to feature in personal photographs shown in Harry and Meghan's Netflix documentary.
The couple, who are now based in Montecito, California, recalled the night out in the first episode of the docuseries.
They recalled how they went incognito with 'borrowed' costumes with Eugenie, Jack, and Meghan's close friend Markus Anderson.
It is not known where the couple went out in Toronto, however they shared unseen snaps of the party in a home, as well as out in a local club.
In one snap, Meghan and Harry could be seen crowding in for a photograph with Eugenie and Jack, as well as another friend, Markus.
Harry was dressed in a gas mask, while Meghan also pulled her hat low over her face. Meanwhile the Duchess opted for a crop top for the occasion, which she paired with dark jean shorts.
Both she and Eugenie ringed their eyes in dark eyeliner for the outing, while Harry pulled a skeleton mask across his face. The couple said they 'wanted to pull the pin on the fun grenade.'
Meghan said: 'His cousin Eugenie, her boyfriend Jack and my friend Markus were there too. It was so great, just silly fun.'
However, this March, it was reported that the relationship between cousins Harry and Eugenie had 'soured'.
FEMAIL reached out to representatives for the Sussexes for comment at the time.
Meghan herself has been close pals with Misha since before her Harry days.
However, she's not mentioned her former best friend in a number of months and notably didn't give her brand a shout out when launching her ShopMy link earlier this year.
In 2020, Meghan sported her pal's £174 'husband' shirt to visit her patronages the National Theatre and Mayhew animal welfare charity, both in London, on 8 January - hours before she and Harry announced they were stepping down.
She has frequently used her status as a high-profile style icon to shine a light on Misha and her brand.
Full of laughter! Princess Eugenie and her mother Sarah Ferguson share a giggle at Ascot
Meghan wore the 'husband' shirt in white for her first official outing with Prince Harry in September 2017 and chose to wear a skirt from the label when she launched her first solo charity endeavour, the Together cookbook, in September 2018.
She also enlisted Misha as one of her brand partners for the Smart Works charity clothing collection, which was unveiled in collaboration with John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Jigsaw, in September last year.
But the Duchess has had a busy few months after launching her own lifestyle brand As Ever, cooking show With Love, Meghan, and podcast series - and does not appear to have recently met up with Misha.
Eugenie had also attended Royal Ascot on Saturday - once again joining Charles and Camilla, who had attended every day of the meeting.
She was joined by her husband Jack Brooksbank. The mother-of-two looked striking in a full length red gown, which she paired with a hat in the same hue, and nude pumps.
Despite the roasting 28C heat, Charles - who has been undergoing regular weekly treatment for cancer more than a year - dressed in his finery as he joined the other equestrian enthusiasts at the racecourse.
Over the week, he has been seen donning a traditional grey suit, complete with tails, a waistcoat, and the obligatory top hat.
The Royal Family - who are known to adore equestrian sports - make appearances at Royal Ascot every year.

As Sir Rod Stewart prepares to play Glasto, the veteran rocker says the country is 'fed up' with Labour and the Tories and should 'give Nigel Farage a chance'
He didn't quite say he'd found a Reason To Believe in Nigel Farage. But when Sir Rod Stewart steps on to Glastonbury 's Pyramid Stage tomorrow afternoon, fans may ponder his plea to 'give Farage a chance'. The 80-year-old singer's teatime set comes the day after he claimed the country was 'fed up' with the Tories and that Labour was trying to ditch Brexit. He accused Prime Minister Keir Starmer of giving Scottish fishing rights 'back to the EU', although the Government insists it has simply renewed an existing deal for European boats. His views represent a second volte-face given that he appeared to support Labour at last year's election – despite previously backing the Conservatives. Asked where Britain's political future now lay, he told The Times: 'It's hard for me because I'm extremely wealthy, and I deserve to be, so a lot of it doesn't really touch me. 'But that doesn't mean I'm out of touch. For instance, I've read about Starmer cutting off the fishing in Scotland and giving it back to the EU. That hasn't made him popular. 'We're fed up with the Tories. We've got to give Farage a chance. He's coming across well. What options have we got? I know some of his family, I know his brother, and I quite like him.' Asked what Mr Farage stands for aside from Brexit, tighter immigration and controversial economic promises he replied: 'Yeah, yeah. But Starmer's all about getting us out of Brexit and I don't know how he's going to do that. 'Still, the country will survive. It could be worse. We could be in the Gaza Strip.' Sir Rod also seemed unconvinced that Sir Keir was going to fully address one of his personal pet hates. Three years ago, the singer donned a hi-vis jacket and rang around friends asking for help filling in potholes outside his Essex house. 'I took me Ferrari out. Nearly lost the f***ing wheel,' he said. 'And before I did in the Ferrari, I saw an ambulance that couldn't move, the wheel stuck right in there. 'So I took me mates out, and we knew what to do because I had builders in the house. 'We filled in a considerable length of the road, actually.' He added that potholes were still present 'all over Britain' in contrast to Europe.

TALK OF THE TOWN GLASTONBURY SPECIAL: Did Sophie Turner and her aristocrat boyfriend Peregrine 'Perry' Pearson seal their revived romance with a proposal?
Two months after it was rumoured that they were a couple no more, Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner and aristocrat Peregrine 'Perry' Pearson put on a very public display of affection at Glastonbury. What's more, my spies at the festival saw the willowy actress wearing two rings on her ring finger, raising the question of whether Perry could have popped the question when they reconciled their differences? Either way, the glamorous couple looked very much in love in Glastonbury's VIP hospitality bar, holding hands and laughing with friends. Sophie, 29, had reportedly told friends she was single in April, after unfollowing 30-year-old Pearson on Instagram. The pair first sparked rumours of a reconciliation last week when they were spotted having lunch together in London – news apparently confirmed by their 'smitten' behaviour at Worthy Farm. Pearson, a property developer, is the heir to the 16,500-acre Cowdray estate, in Midhurst, Sussex and to the title Viscount Cowdray. As the daughter of a nursery teacher and a pallet distribution company worker, Turner had more humble beginnings. She shot to fame as a teenager after she was cast as Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones. The actress and the artiso were first seen together in Paris in October 2023 as Turner was going through a bitter divorce from American pop star Joe Jonas – father of her two daughters, Willa, five, and Delphine, three – after four years of marriage. Jonas and Sophie wed at the elegant Château de Tourreau in Provence – but perhaps a ceremony at Cowdray House would prove even more glamorous… Matt's Crown of hair returns The last time I saw The Crown star Matt Smith – at Kensington Roof Gardens, no less – he was sporting a controversial Mohawk haircut. He told me then that his friends 'wouldn't stop teasing him' over the punk look he'd adopted for a movie role. But now, after seeing him stride through Glastonbury, I'm glad to report he has grown his hair out. Have his pals stopped the mockery? 'Yes, finally,' the Doctor Who star laughs. It's just how glam Sam Cam jams... I spied former Prime Minister's wife Samantha Cameron sitting pretty with some bright young things at the Park Stage's VIP bar. Dressed in a £340 green V-neck dress from her label Cefinn, Adidas Superstar trainers and a bum bag, left, she looked worlds away from the hallowed – if rather stuffy – halls of Westminster. Her husband, meanwhile, was nowhere to be seen. 'Glastonbury is not really his vibe,' an insider tells me. 'He prefers Wilderness.' The festival, taking place near his Oxfordshire home next month, is so well-to-do it's been dubbed 'Poshstock'. How very apt... Cara Delevingne is back at her beloved Glastonbury, but this year she's sober – and skipping the selfies. The model politely turned down a fan photo at ultra-lux glampsite The Pop-Up Hotel, declaring she wasn't wearing make-up... although she has posted pictures au naturel before. But surely she won't make it through a whole festival without being snapped? Adele's party palace Glastonbury isn't the only place pop stars can let off steam. A music industry insider tells me Adele has bought a new multi-million-pound house on the beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands to add to her four Beverly Hills properties and several more in London. Rumour has it that the Grammy-winning star's latest mansion is famous for hosting wild parties. Though I hear the 37-year-old singer has one very strict house rule: leave your phones at the door. If you don't, she won't go easy on you, baby… Romeo Beckham's ex, Mia Regan has appeared in plenty of glamorous photoshoots over the years for the likes of Gucci and Prada. But that's not how new boyfriend Henry O'Sullivan likes to picture her. My Glasto spies saw him wearing a badge showing Mia ungraciously eating corn on the cob... although finding somewhere to pin it proved difficult, right. While the couple looked loved up, Romeo was missing in action – apparently laying low after his split from Kim Turnbull, who may be doing a DJ set at the festival. From Becks to decks! Cool it, Joe! He's the nation's PE teacher and king of pandemic workouts, but I hear Joe Wicks wasn't exactly in a jolly mood backstage at Glastonbury. After leading his annual fitness session at the Park Stage on Friday morning, Joe popped to the nearby bar and asked for ice – only to be told they had none. 'He scoffed and stalked off,' said one flabbergasted onlooker. 'Rude and arrogant. He was awful. I hope you don't cross paths with him!' Bit of an icy reception, Joe…

EXCLUSIVE As Meghan's new rosé hits the shelves next week, we reveal the secrets of the Californian winery where it was made... which also produces bespoke tipples for celebrities including Barry Manilow and hit Western series 'Yellowstone'
Gently rolling hills lush with grape-heavy vineyards stretch for miles through California 's verdant Napa Valley until a turn on Silverado Trail leads you to the yawning chasm of a cave carved into the hillside. It is here, deep in a labyrinth of darkened tunnels, that Meghan Markle 's new rosé wine - which goes on sale on Tuesday (July 1) - has been awaiting its debut, The Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal. The cellar entrance leads to the wine-filled oak caskets of Fairwinds Estate, a California winery that creates bespoke wines for celebrities including Barry Manilow, the estate of cowboy movie legend John Wayne and the hit Western television series 'Yellowstone.' Meghan specifically picked Fairwinds - 75 miles north of San Francisco and a six-hour drive from her home in Montecito - to show her support after the winery was almost totally destroyed in a devastating 2020 wildfire which caused $15 million worth of damage. A source said: 'She wanted to lean in and help a California business rebuild.' The 'As Ever' rosé - which Meghan described as being 'infused with joy and whimsy' - is the duchess's first foray into the lucrative world of celebrity alcohol branding but has not been without controversy. Critics have pointed out that she has chosen to launch her wine on July 1, on what would have been Princess Diana's 64th birthday. Prince Harry's mother was killed by a drunk driver, Henri Paul, when Harry was just 12 years old. One woman wrote on Twitter: 'Is it really appropriate to launch a wine on what would have been her mother-in-law's birthday when Diana was killed by a drunk driver?' Another said: 'It feels a little tone deaf.' Regardless of the critics, if Meghan's wine is successful it could net her a fortune. Brad Pitt's Miravel rosé brand is valued at around $200 million while George Clooney sold his CasaAmigos tequila company for a staggering $1 billion. Meghan - a wine lover who named her original blog 'The Tig' after her favourite Italian Tignanello wine - spent months tasting dozens of different blends created in Fairwinds' 25,000 sq. ft. cellar, before settling on the final mix. The bespoke wine is understood to contain a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. A source said: 'Every time she had friends over she would test the different blends out on them and then give notes back to the expert winemaker that it needed more of this, or less of that. This is a custom-made wine.' Meghan was instrumental in every aspect of the creation of her rosé right down to designing the label with her trademark calligraphy handwriting. Meghan specifically picked Fairwinds - 75 miles north of San Francisco and a six-hour drive from her home in Montecito - to show her support after the winery was almost totally destroyed in a devastating 2020 wildfire which caused $15 million worth of damage The gold-rimmed label on the front of the bottle says: 'As Ever Rosé Napa Valley 2023' while the back describes the wine as having 'soft notes of stone fruit, gentle mineralogy and a lasting finish.' She signs off: 'As ever, Meghan.' The 2023 vintage is considered one of the best harvests in living memory thanks to plentiful spring rain and a temperate summer that produced a bumper grape crop. Fairwinds Estate has risen 'phoenix-like from the ashes,' cellar master Troy Harbison told the MoS when we visited on Friday afternoon. Mr Harbison said: 'The winery and tasting room were destroyed in the 2020 fire and haven't been rebuilt, The fire came down Hope Valley, over the hill and ripped through this property. Only the cellars survived. 'We aren't growing any grapes on this site but we have acreage across Napa Valley. We also buy in grapes from other vineyards, all in Napa Valley. 'For a while we weren't sure if the winery would survive. 'Then the owners had the idea of working with celebrities and sports teams to make their own line of wines and it really took off. 'We now produce wines for television shows and American football teams, basketball franchises, hockey and baseball teams. It was all because of the fire.' It is not known what price Meghan will charge for her new rosé but Fairwinds sells its rosé for $36 a bottle. Once Meghan made her final selection her wine was put into barrels and shipped 20 miles across winding country roads to the Kunde Family Winery in the neighbouring valley of Sonoma County. The wine was decanted into vast steel vats 18 feet high and holding up to 40,000 gallons before being piped across the roof of the Kunde's tasting room into its bottling plant. A member of staff said: 'This can produce 90 bottles a minute and up to 2,000 cases of wine a day at full throttle.' The fire that tore through Fairwinds destroyed its own bottling plant which is why it now farms out the bottling of its wines to other vineyards. It is not known what price Meghan will charge for her new rosé but Fairwinds sells its rosé for $36 a bottle Fairwinds has a storied history as the fourth Napa vineyard to be established after Prohibition ended in 1933. The Glass Fire in September 2020 made global headlines as firefighters carefully lowered the Stars and Stripes flag before the winery burned down. Vineyard owners Brandon Chaney - a colourful character whose Instagram handle is 'The Cowboy Wino' - and Anthony Zabit fought a legal battle against their insurance company for money to rebuild, a process which is ongoing. Fairwinds' website recalls the dark days of the fire saying: 'In an act of true patriotism the firefighters of Engine 559 of the Fremont Fire Department saved the American Flag as the Glass Fire overtook Fairwinds. 'The next day, these brave men presented the flag back to Brandon and Anthony to proudly raise about the new structures to rise from the ashes in the coming years.' Meghan and Harry have been strong supporters of firemen.
