Alright, anime fans, buckle up! 'The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity' (or Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku if you're feeling fancy) is the romantic comedy you didn't know you needed in 2025. This gem, based on Saka Mikami's hit manga, dropped in July and has folks swooning over its sweet story and gorgeous visuals. Whether you're a die-hard romance fan or just dipping your toes into anime, here's the lowdown on Season 1—release dates, plot and everything you need to know. When Can You Watch It?
The show hit Japanese screens on July 5, 2025, at 12:30 AM JST on channels like Tokyo MX and BS11. For those of us outside Japan, Netflix is where it's at. It started streaming in some Asian countries on July 13, 2025, and, as Netflix confirmed, it'll land in the United States and several non-Asian countries on September 7, 2025. Season 1 has 13 episodes—short enough to devour in a weekend but long enough to get you hooked. No English dub yet, so you'll be watching with Japanese audio and subtitles. If you're outside Netflix's reach, sites like AniWatch might have it, but check your region. What's the Story?
Picture two high schools that are total opposites. Chidori High is a boys' school full of rough-around-the-edges types who aren't exactly acing their exams. Right next door is Kikyo Girls' High, where the students are all about class and prestige. These schools don't get along—like, at all. Mixing with the other side is basically a scandal.
Now meet Rintaro Tsumugi, a Chidori guy who looks like he could star in a gangster flick but is actually a sweetheart who bakes at his family's patisserie. One day, Kaoruko Waguri, a bubbly Kikyo girl with a serious cake obsession, walks into the shop and orders enough pastries to feed a soccer team. Their random encounter turns into a friendship, then something more, as they dodge their schools' rivalry and nosy classmates. It's a story about looking past labels, finding your people, and maybe sneaking a few extra desserts along the way. Who's in the Cast?
The voice actors are killing it, bringing these characters to life: Rintaro Tsumugi (voiced by Yoshinori Nakayama): The tough guy with a heart of gold. Nakayama's got credits in Fire Force , so he's perfect for Rintaro's soft side.
(voiced by Yoshinori Nakayama): The tough guy with a heart of gold. Nakayama's got credits in , so he's perfect for Rintaro's soft side. Kaoruko Waguri (voiced by Honoka Inoue): The sunny Kikyo girl who's all about kindness. Inoue, from Anne Shirley , makes her impossible not to love.

(voiced by Kikunosuke Toya): Rintaro's pal who keeps the laughs coming. Saku Natsusawa (voiced by Koki Uchiyama): A Chidori kid with a story that'll tug at your heart.
(voiced by Koki Uchiyama): A Chidori kid with a story that'll tug at your heart. Ayato Yorita (voiced by Hiiro Ishibashi): Another Chidori buddy in the mix.
(voiced by Hiiro Ishibashi): Another Chidori buddy in the mix. Subaru Hoshina (voiced by Aya Yamane): A Kikyo girl who adds some spice to the group.
The side characters are so well done, you'll be just as invested in them as the main couple. What to Expect in Season 1
The first episode, called 'Rintaro and Kaoruko,' kicks things off with their adorable bakery meet-up. The season's likely to cover the first 40 chapters of the manga, wrapping up around a big summer festival moment that'll have you grinning like a fool. Over 13 episodes, you'll see their romance grow, their schools clash, and the side characters steal the show, all while leaving room for a possible Season 2.

When does 'Sullivan's Crossing' come out on Netflix? Date, cast, more

Fans of "Virgin River" and former teenage heartthrob Chad Michael Murray are in for a treat as the first two seasons of the cozy romantic series "Sullivan's Crossing" arrives on Netflix. The Canadian romantic drama follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) as her "seemingly perfect life in Boston is turned upside down" and she leaves the city and boyfriend Andrew (Allan Hawco) "to return to her childhood home of Sullivan's Crossing, a picturesque Nova Scotia campground owned by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan (Scott Patterson) whom she hasn't seen in years." While in Sullivan's Crossing, Maggie attempts to reconnect with her father and old friends as she spars with "the irritating, yet handsome mysterious stranger who has been helping her father around the campground," Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray). "But coming home isn't easy and it brings up memories and feelings Maggie is not ready to face," CW says about the series. "Sullivan's Crossing" is based on the books by New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr, whose other series "Virgin River" is a Netflix original. Breaking Down the Gripping Ending of Under a Dark Sun

Under a Dark Sun, a new French miniseries from Netflix, ends on a series of revelations that bring closure to the central mystery, while exposing deep-rooted secrets and morally grey decisions. Across six tightly woven episodes, the story follows Alba, a single mother with a troubled past, as she takes a job at a secluded flower farm in Provence. After the sudden death of the farm's patriarch, Arnaud Lasserre, Alba becomes the main suspect. But what begins as a murder case quickly spirals into something much more complex: a dark family history full of hidden paternity, forced silence, and decades of manipulation. Here's a breakdown of what really happens in the final episode—and how the ending reshapes everything we thought we knew. Who is Alba's biological father? One of the key threads running through the series is the mystery of Alba's parentage. As the series unfolds, there are several hints that suggest she is connected to the Lasserre family. Though viewers are led to believe that Arnaud is Alba's father, the finale reveals a bigger twist: Alba is the daughter of Mathieu, Arnaud's son. We learn that years earlier, Mathieu had a brief affair with Nadia, a young worker on the farm. When their relationship ended, he had no idea she was pregnant. Arnaud, determined to preserve the family's image, forced Nadia to give up the baby and leave the property after he learned of the pregnancy. Alba was raised far from the farm, unaware of her origins, while Mathieu remained oblivious to the fact that he had fathered a child. Mathieu begins to suspect the truth after noticing Alba's resemblance to Nadia. He secretly takes a DNA test, which confirms his suspicions. Why did Arnaud include Alba in his will? When Arnaud dies, Alba's sudden appearance in his will catches everyone off guard — until the full story comes to light. Years after being expelled from the farm, Nadia reconnects with Alba and tries to secure a better future for her daughter. She contacts Arnaud via email, including photos of Alba and her son, and reminds him of how he forced her to give up her child. In exchange for keeping the past buried, Nadia demands that he formally recognize Alba as an heir. To avoid public scandal, Arnaud complies and quietly adds Alba to his will, granting her a portion of his estate. Who killed Arnaud? The central mystery is resolved in the final episode: the killer was Manon, Arnaud's granddaughter and Mathieu's daughter. Manon discovers that her mother, Joséphine, had been institutionalized years earlier by Arnaud to keep her from revealing that Mathieu fathered a child with Nadia. Joséphine was effectively erased from the family. Once Manon finds her hidden away in a psychiatric facility, she decides to take revenge. She kills Arnaud, then infiltrates the investigation by pretending to be Alba's lawyer — a calculated move to steer the narrative and protect herself. Valentin and the attempt to kill Alba Valentin first appears as someone who might support Alba. However, his true role is revealed later in the series. Manon has actually hired Valentin to assassinate Alba. When the plan fails, she turns on him and frames him for Arnaud's murder. This not only shifts suspicion away from her, but also eliminates a potential threat to her cover story. Hadrien's death and Léo's misjudgment Hadrien, Manon's brother, is killed in a tragic case of mistaken identity. Léo — Alba's son — goes to the farm to practice archery with him. But when Léo sees a tattoo on Hadrien's back, he panics. It matches the tattoo of the person who had kidnapped him earlier in the series. Believing Hadrien was his abductor, Léo shoots and kills him. Later, it's implied that the actual kidnapper was Manon, who has the same tattoo. The mix-up between siblings leads to another irreversible loss and becomes the basis for a final deal between Alba and Manon. The pact between Alba and Manon With both women holding damning secrets about each other — Manon's role in Arnaud's death and Léo's responsibility for Hadrien's — they strike a private agreement. They fabricate a version of events in which Hadrien is framed as Arnaud's killer. This allows the investigation to be closed without further scrutiny. Neither Manon nor Alba faces justice, but both walk away with something preserved: freedom, or at least the illusion of it. The ending doesn't offer moral resolution — only a calculated exchange of silence. Alba's new life and the fate of the farm In the final scenes, Alba is working at a quiet restaurant, far removed from the drama of the Lasserre estate. There's no sign that she has kept in touch with Manon or anyone else from the farm. It's not a triumphant rebirth, but rather a quiet attempt to move on. In a subtle final twist, it's revealed that Nadia — Alba's mother — has purchased the flower farm. It's a quiet reclaiming of what was taken from her years ago. Without confrontation, she returns — this time with ownership, not exile.

New Season of ‘Wednesday' Is Even Darker Than Before

With a name like 'Nevermore,' it's no wonder Wednesday Addams can never get a moment of peace at school. Netflix just unveiled a new trailer for the second season of Wednesday, the dark comedy series inspired by The Addams Family. Last season, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) enrolled in Nevermore after a violent incident at her former school. There, she quickly becomes involved in investigating a series of murders committed by a monster who roams the woods surrounding the academy, only to uncover a nefarious plot connected to her family's dark past. This time, Wednesday returns to the academy as a celebrated hero (much to her annoyance). At first, the semester kicks off relatively calmly. But when Wednesday's psychic abilities start showing her dreams of her roommate, Enid Sinclair's (Emma Meyers) death—and it seems to be all her fault—Wednesday must face new and old foes alike to stop the tragedy before it's too late. 'Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family,' Wednesday says in the trailer, as the dramatic main theme from the Phantom of the Opera musical plays over her narration. 'The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid… Or die trying.' Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, known for their work on Smallville and Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the show sees the return of Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Fred Armisen, and Hunter Doohan. There will also be new season regulars, including Anthony Michael Hall, Billie Piper, and Steve Buscemi. After nearly a three-year break, fans of the show couldn't be more thrilled for season two to finally premiere. And from the looks of the trailer, there is a lot to get excited about. Wednesday and Enid seem awfully 'close.' As one viewer pointed out, 'Wednesday's no longer fighting weirdo allegations but gay girl kisser wlw lesbian allegations.' Then, there is the whole, 'I will die trying to save you' thing. ''Enid dies and it's all my fault.' THE PAINN IN HER EYES OH WEDNESDAY,' an X user commented. Others are looking forward to the return of the older Addams family members, like the queen herself, Morticia Addams (Zeta-Jones). Part one will hit the streaming platform on Aug. 6, with part two arriving on Sep. 3, giving everyone the perfect 'spooky' start to the autumn season.
