Diogo Jota's wife and family joined by Liverpool players for funeral in Portugal
The coffins of Jota and Silva were carried into Igreja Matriz de Gondomar church in the town of Gondomar near Porto on Saturday morning, followed by mourners.
A church bell tolled and crowds applauded as the brothers' coffins were carried into the church, followed by mourners, some with their arms around each other.
Others seen arriving at the church included Reds manager Arne Slot, captain Virgil van Dijk and team-mates including Andy Robertson, Conor Bradley, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez.
Also at the funeral for the Portugal international were his national team-mates Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United, Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva of Manchester City, Joao Felix and Renato Veiga of Chelsea, Nelson Semedo from Wolves, Joao Moutinho, Rui Patricio and Ruben Neves, as well as former Liverpool player Fabinho, Porto president Andre Villas-Boas and Portugal manager Roberto Martinez.
Some of the players carried wreaths shaped like football shirts as they arrived at the church.
Family and friends gathered for the brothers' wake on Friday, with a queue forming outside the Portuguese chapel.
The brothers' parents attended the Sao Cosme Chapel, the Capela da Ressurreicao, in Gondomar, with Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Prime Minister Luis Montenegro and Jota's agent also there.
People held service sheets featuring pictures of both brothers, the largest one showing Jota smiling in his Liverpool shirt and making a heart sign with his hands.
Liverpool postponed the return of their players for pre-season following Jota's death and players past and present paid tribute to him and his brother on social media.
A sea of floral tributes had been left outside Anfield, with many Liverpool fans and supporters of other clubs looking to pay their respects.
Flags have been lowered to half-mast at the stadium and all club stores, museums and tours have been closed until Monday, with staff offered wellbeing support.
Jota and Silva were found dead after the car crashed on the A-52 in Palacios de Sanabria near the city of Zamora at 12.40am on Thursday.
Police said they were investigating the possibility that the Lamborghini left the road because of a tyre blowout while overtaking, and a source from the government sub-delegation in Zamora confirmed 'a possible speeding incident' was being looked at.
Pictures of the aftermath of the crash showed debris scattered along the side of the road including what appeared to be charred parts of the vehicle.
No other vehicles are said to have been involved in the incident.

Chase Burns faces Zack Wheeler in Reds-Phils rubber match
July 6 - As the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 draft, Cincinnati Reds right-hander Chase Burns certainly has All-Star potential. On Sunday, he'll get a good look at what it takes to be one of the league's top pitchers when he faces Zack Wheeler and the Philadelphia Phillies. Burns (0-1, 13.50 ERA) had a productive major league debut on June 24, when he allowed three runs in five innings against the New York Yankees, striking out eight without a walk. However, his luck turned upside down against the Red Sox in Boston last Monday, as he allowed seven runs -- five earned -- while recording only one out in a lopsided 13-6 defeat. The Reds believe that Burns was tipping pitches in his first career road start and they hope to have that issue ironed out before the Wake Forest product takes the mound at Citizens Bank Park in Sunday's series rubber game. "Hopefully (we got it figured out)," Cincinnati pitching coach Derek Johnson said. "It could be a little more challenging based on what it is. But we'll give it an old college try and find out." The 22-year-old Burns would love to one day be as consistent as the 35-year-old Wheeler (8-3, 2.27), who is coming off a sensational month of June. The reigning National League Cy Young Award runner-up allowed two earned runs in 31 innings last month, good for a 0.58 ERA. Wheeler put an exclamation point on his sparkling June by striking out 10 without a walk over eight scoreless innings in a 4-0 win over the San Diego Padres last Monday. "I don't think I've had a pitcher that, whether I'm coaching or managing, that has had a month like that," Phillies manager Rob Thomson said. "Maybe I have, but he was pretty much dominant the whole month. ... Just efficient, strike-throwing ability, command, velocity. He had it all." Wheeler, who is 2-2 with a 2.61 ERA in eight career starts against Cincinnati, will likely be named to the NL All-Star team on Sunday. He has a good chance to be named the league's starting pitcher, although his teammate Ranger Suarez is another contender for that honor. Suarez limited Cincinnati to one run over five innings in Saturday's 5-1 victory for Philadelphia, as the lefty improved his ERA to 1.99. "It's great competition," Suarez said through an interpreter in reference to the Phillies' stable of quality starting pitchers. "I think that's what drives us to be better. We look at each other. However, given the quality of the Philadelphia lineup, Reds manager Terry Francona had a hard time being upset with Cincinnati starter Nick Lodolo, who allowed three runs (on the homers by Sosa and Bohm) over six otherwise solid innings. He will always be present at all breakfasts, lunches, dinners, national team gatherings, PlayStation or card games. 'It is a very tough episode for all of us, because we spent a lot of time together. The memories I have with him are fantastic. These happy memories will remain, he will be present in every victory. 'We were rivals and team-mates for many years. He became a great friend. He was present at my wedding. Unfortunately, I wasn't at his, because I was at the Club World Cup. It is a family that will always be with us and that we will try to preserve.' Players from Penafiel, the team for whom Jota's brother played, also attended. A wake was held on Friday for the pair before the coffins were carried into church on Saturday morning followed by mourners, led by Jota's wife and family. After the service, which was broadcast to hundreds standing outside, they were taken to the cemetery next to the church for a private ceremony. A seventh-day mass will be held on Wednesday. Jota's national team manager Roberto Martinez, who was also in attendance, said: 'They are really sad days, as you can imagine, but today we have shown we are a very large, but close family. 'It was essential for us that, (with) Andre Silva and Diogo Jota, we are together and we will always be together and their spirit will be with us forever. 'Thank you very much for your messages, for your support and everything that we have received (from) all over the world. It means a lot and today we are all one football family.' Reports in Portugal say Liverpool have committed to paying out the remainder of Jota's two-year contract to his family. Tributes continue to be left at Anfield, where Everton manager David Moyes and assistant Alan Irvine laid flowers on Saturday with the message: 'With heartfelt sympathy, from David Moyes and everyone at Everton Football Club.' Manchester City-supporting brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher paid their own tribute at Oasis' comeback gig at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday night when, during the final bars of Live Forever, a picture of Jota was displayed to cheers and applause.
