Volkswagen and Toyota involved in Llandrindod Wells crash
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the crash which closed Ithon Road in Llandrindod Wells this weekend involved two vehicles.
Officers were called to the scene on Sunday afternoon (July 27) and the road was closed for nearly an hour while the vehicles involved were cleared.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: 'Police were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 6.15pm, Sunday July 27.
'The vehicles involved in the collision were a black Volkswagen Polo and a grey Toyota Yaris.
'The road was closed and reopened at about 7pm following recovery of the vehicles.'

Body found in sea off Welsh coast after major search operation
The body of a man has been found near a Welsh beach following a major search operation. Dyfed-Powys Police told BBC Wales officers were called to the Manorbier area in Pembrokeshire at around 11am on Friday. It follows concerns for the welfare of a person. A spokesman for the force said: "Sadly, a body of a man was found during the search." The force said enquiries are being made to establish what happened. The search saw the Tenby all-weather and inshore lifeboats and a Coastguard helicopter deployed.

Keating was part of the England squad that retained the Euros on Sunday by beating Spain on penalties in the final. However, just days after lifting the trophy in Basel, Keating was fined for not paying her car tax. On Wednesday, magistrates fined Keating £440 and ordered her to pay back duty of £79.17 and costs of £20 after she had been stopped for driving a Volkswagen Polo without the correct tax back in December. The 21-year-old did not attend Tameside Magistrates' court and the case was heard in her absence. Just a few weeks before the Euros began, Keating was cleared of drugs charges after Greater Manchester Police dropped them. Keating and her mother, Nicola, were charged last June with possession of the Class C drug nitrous oxide. They both pleaded not guilty and the charges were dropped in June. "I'm relieved the charges have been dropped — as I've always said, I did nothing wrong," Keating told the BBC. "It's been a difficult time, but I've always known the truth. Now I'm just looking forward to focusing fully on the Euros and spending time with my family." Keating did not play at the Euros with Hannah Hampton starring as first-choice goalkeeper, but she was an important part of the squad and was part of the jubilant celebrations that took place after they returned to the UK. A victory parade took place on Wednesday in front of more than 50,000 fans, with England captain Leah Williamson stating: "I'm holding back tears. I've been crying all down The Mall. "This is unbelievable, this is probably one of the best [things] we have ever been a part of, so thank you for coming out. "There are many ways to win a football match. And we repeatedly did it the hard way, but you can see how much we care about playing for England and how much we love it." Chloe Kelly added: "It feels so good to stand side by side with each and every one of these girls. It's so ******* special. It's incredible to stand here today with a winners' medal around our necks and I'm so proud to be English."

Hero uncle drowns saving the lives of young nieces at Welsh waterfall
A shopkeeper tragically drowned at a Welsh waterfall after he went into the water to save the lives of his young nieces. A coroner has ruled the death of 27-year-old Mohananeethan "Mohan" Muruganantharajah, 27, an accident when he died at Bannau Brycheiniog, or the Brecon Beacons. Mr Muruganantharajah - a qualified pilot who ran an off-licence in Swansea - visited the Sgwd y Pannwr waterfall at Ystradfellte with his extended family on September 1, 2023, Pontypridd coroner's court heard. Coroner Patricia Morgan said: "The purpose of the visit was to walk and enjoy the scenery, reports WalesOnline. "When arriving at the waterfall, a number of members of his family decided to enter the water as the weather was pleasant. "Due to a number of Mohananeethan's family getting into some difficulty, he assisted them to safety. However, sadly Mohananeethan was pulled under the water and did not resurface. "Emergency services attended but were unable to rescue Mohananeethan. He was recovered from the water on Saturday, September 2, 2023, when he was declared deceased." The court previously heard the two children rescued by Sri Lankan-born Mr Muruganantharajah were his nieces. After helping them to safety he became stuck under a ledge. In her conclusion Ms Morgan recorded the death as an accident. A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said at the time: "We were called to Sgwd y Pannwr waterfall, Ystradfellte, at approximately 4.40pm on Friday, September 1, to a report of a man having gone into the water to rescue two children and not come out. "A multi-agency response was commenced with representation from the police, fire service, mountain rescue, HART (hazardous area response team) and both the UK Air Rescue Team and the Wales Air Ambulance landing their aircrafts nearby. "At shortly after 7pm the fire service located the body of 27-year-old Mohananeethan Muruganantharaja in the water with an underwater camera. "Unfortunately, due to conditions at the site recovery was not possible that evening, and specialist divers were brought in the following morning. His family is being supported by specialist officers."
