"Israeli" NGOs break silence, say Gaza genocide underway
In a joint press conference held Monday in Jerusalem, the groups said "Israel" is implementing 'a system of genocide aimed at destroying Palestinian society in Gaza.'
While both organizations have long been critical of" Israeli" policies, their latest reports marked the strongest condemnation to date.
"A hard truth"
Yuli Novak, executive director of B'Tselem, said: 'Nothing prepares you for the realization that you are part of a society perpetrating genocide. It's an extremely painful moment. As Israelis and Palestinians living here, witnessing testimonies and the reality daily, we have a duty to speak the truth as clearly as possible: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians.'
PHRI's report focused on what it described as the 'calculated and systematic dismantling of Gaza's healthcare system.'
Asil Abu Rass, director of PHRI's occupied territories department, said doctors have been killed, detained illegally, and tortured.
She cited the case of a displaced pregnant woman who gave birth far from any functioning hospital: 'Next month, 5,500 women are expected to give birth in Gaza, including 1,400 C-sections, none of them in a safe, equipped hospital.'
PHRI also said childbirth rates in Gaza have dropped by 41 percent due to the collapse of the healthcare system. The organization urged international actors to pressure "Israel" to implement a ceasefire and allow unimpeded humanitarian access.
"Israeli" government rejects claims
David Mencer, a spokesperson for the "Israeli" prime minister's office, dismissed the accusations as baseless: 'We have freedom of expression in Israel, but we strongly reject this charge. Our military targets only terrorists. Hamas is responsible for Gaza's suffering.'
"Israel's" army also denied the allegations, saying it follows international law and accuses Hamas of using civilians as human shields.
Hamas responds: A testimony from within "Israel"
Hamas welcomed the findings, describing them as 'a clear internal "Israeli" admission of the gravity of crimes committed by the occupation.'
In a statement, the group said: 'This documentation confirms that the occupation is committing full-fledged genocide, aiming to dismantle and erase Palestinian society in Gaza.'

Natalie Portman backs "Israeli" anti-war protests, shares Gaza aid link
Hollywood actress Natalie Portman has drawn renewed attention to her stance on "Israel" and Palestine after sharing a series of Instagram Stories amplifying ongoing "Israeli" protests against the government. Among the posts was a call to donate to humanitarian efforts in Gaza, a rare move from a high-profile "Israeli"-American celebrity amid the ongoing war. Portman, who was born in Jerusalem and holds dual citizenship, shared content featuring demonstrators in Tel Aviv demanding an end to the war and the return of "Israeli" captives held in Gaza. One of the posts specifically pointed followers to a campaign collecting donations for Palestinian civilians affected by the genocide, a gesture likely to spark both praise and criticism across the political spectrum. The Oscar-winning actress has long held a nuanced position on the "Israeli"-Palestinian issue. In 2018, she famously declined to attend the Genesis Prize ceremony in "Israel", citing her distress over recent events and her refusal to appear as endorsing then-Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. 'Like many Israelis and Jews around the world, I can be critical of the leadership in Israel without wanting to boycott the entire nation,' she wrote at the time. Portman has previously criticized the "Israeli" nation-state law as "racist" and expressed concern about policies that, in her view, undermine equality and democracy. Yet, she has also remained firmly opposed to the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement and has maintained her cultural ties to "Israel", including directing a Hebrew-language film in 2015.

32 Palestinians killed today in Gaza, including 14 aid seekers
The Civil Defense in Gaza reported that 32 Palestinians were killed on Saturday by "Israeli" fire, including 14 people who were waiting for humanitarian aid, amid ongoing airstrikes and shelling across the enclave. Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense, told AFP that five people were killed and others critically wounded when "Israeli" forces opened fire near a humanitarian aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza Bridge in central Gaza. In southern Gaza, Basal confirmed four more fatalities in the At-Tina area near a relief center in southwestern Khan Younis. Three others were killed near the Morag axis, also in southern Khan Younis, while two were shot near the Shakoush aid distribution point in northwestern Rafah. Reports of Palestinians being killed while waiting for food and supplies have become near-daily occurrences since late May, particularly near distribution sites run by the U.S.- and Israeli-backed "Gaza Relief Organization." The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said on Friday that 1,373 Palestinians have been killed since May 27, most by "Israeli" gunfire, while waiting for aid.
