The iconic cape continues to soar as 'Superman' (3D) wraps up its first week at the Indian box office with a total collection of Rs 35.62 crore (nett).
According to the Sacnilk website, despite a steep Monday drop, the film recovered slightly midweek and held steady on Thursday, bringing in Rs 2 crore on day 7 across all languages.
The film stars David Corenswet in his debut as the Man of Steel and has been dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu alongside the English release. While the initial weekend saw great enthusiasm, especially in metros, occupancy rates have since evened out.
Weekend momentum vs weekday realities
After an impressive opening at Rs 7.25 crore on Friday, 'Superman' (3D) surged on Saturday with Rs 9.5 crore and held strong Sunday at Rs 9.25 crore. However, Monday brought a dramatic fall—just Rs 2.6 crore—showing the typical weekday slowdown.
Encouragingly, Tuesday brought a mild bounce back with Rs 3 crore, but Wednesday and Thursday hovered around the Rs 2 crore mark each.
Occupancy patterns reflect mixed buzz
On Day 7, the film had a 9.99% occupancy in English (3D) screens. It had the highest traction during night shows (13.13%). Mumbai, NCR, and Hyderabad led in turnout, with overall citywise occupancy staying close to or just below 10%.
Superman The Immigrant? James Gunn's Bold Take On Hero's Identity Sets Fans Off In A Fiery Debate
Tamil-dubbed shows saw a surprising 13.53% occupancy overall, especially strong during afternoon and night slots, signaling a growing Southern fanbase for DC titles.
Hindi versions, however, struggled, posting single-digit occupancy in both 2D and 3D formats.
Flying forward: Week 2 holds the key
As the film steps into its second weekend, 'Superman' (3D) faces competition from regional releases and action-packed Indian films. An excerot from ETimes review for the film read, "Superman is entertaining, enjoyable, even epic but never intense. James Gunn's non-origin story soars high visually but stays limited emotionally. The director's unyielding need to go traditional comes at a cost. It is still a tremendous cinematic experience that deserves to be watched in IMAX.
"
With Rs 35.62 crore collected so far, its fate now hinges on holding power beyond the core fanbase. Whether Kal-El's new chapter becomes a long-lasting hit will be determined in the days to come.

Raha Kapoor Looks Cute As A Button In A Luxe Printed Co-Ord Set

Raha Kapoor's airport looks are indeed serving goals for many mommies out there, struggling to style their kids during travels. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's princess Raha Kapoor has been making waves as the youngest style icon in town, ever since her first public appearance. Born to stylish parents and grandparents, the toddler often takes centre stage, courtesy of her adorable looks. While the internet can't get enough of her cuteness-overloaded paparazzi moments, her closet collection also needs a separate discussion. Recently, Raha Kapoor was spotted at Mumbai airport with her doting parents, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, as they returned from their much-awaited trip to London. It's not just her presence but the jaw-dropping luxe ensemble that has everyone talking. The toddler captivated the fashionistas in a luxury co-ord set from Mini Rodini, priced at Rs. 11,672 as per a fashion-oriented Instagram handle. It featured a printed full-sleeved, round-neckline T-shirt teamed with a pair of matching shorts. The baby girl was seen tightly clinging to her father's shoulders as the actor hurried towards their car, parked outside the airport. Due to which, we couldn't get a peek inside her adorable face. But we can spot that the little one's hair was tied in a messy ponytail, leaving her fans gushing. Previously, she was seen looking cute as a button in a blue co-ord set while being papped at the airport alongside her father, Ranbir Kapoor. Raha's doting parents reportedly dressed their princess in a comfortable, loose-fitting ensemble for the trip. They teamed it with a pair of white sneakers and socks so as to keep her warm during the changing weather. Junior Kapoor's messy hair, playfully tousled over her face due to the breeze, revealed her mischievous side. Before that, Raha Kapoor was seen dressed in a white-hued outfit for yet another journey with her parents. The attire featured full sleeves, round neck and three-quarter pants. While being cuddled up in her mom's arms, the little one even waved towards the paps, a moment that was extremely adorable to miss. Interestingly, she was not wearing any shoes and only a pair of socks wrapped up the little one's travel-friendly, comfortable appearance. top videos View all Raha Kapoor's airport looks are indeed serving goals for many mommies out there, struggling to style their kids during travels. No Bollywood Films In 4 Years, Yet This 43-Year-Old Star Is India's Highest-Paid Actress

When it comes to reigning queens of Bollywood, names like Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Nayanthara quickly spring to mind. Alia and Deepika have long held their thrones with blockbuster after blockbuster, while Nayanthara has soared as a pan-India superstar. Both Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone are among the top earners in the industry, with Deepika Padukone reportedly pocketing Rs 20 crore for Kalki 2898 AD and Rs 15 crore for Pathaan opposite Shah Rukh Khan. While these leading ladies continue to dazzle, one star has quietly (and rather glamorously) outshone them all. She hasn't done a Hindi film in four years, yet she's still the highest-paid actress in Bollywood! We're talking about none other than Bollywood's original desi girl, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The global superstar has made headlines once again; this time, not for a red carpet look or Hollywood premiere, but for her jaw-dropping paycheck. Priyanka Chopra charged a massive Rs 41 crore for her Amazon Prime Video action-thriller Citadel and is reportedly being paid Rs 30 crore for SS Rajamouli's upcoming epic SSMB29; the highest ever fee commanded by a female actress in India. That officially makes her Bollywood's most expensive actress. And to think, she hasn't appeared in a full-fledged Hindi film since The Sky Is Pink in 2019! Her last Bollywood stint was in the critically acclaimed Netflix film The White Tiger (2021), where she starred alongside Rajkummar Rao and Adarsh Gourav. Since then, Priyanka Chopra has firmly planted her flag in Hollywood, working on big-budget series and blockbuster deals. Off-screen, Priyanka Chopra is just as much a powerhouse. She has a staggering 92.4 million followers on social media and co-founded Purple Pebble Pictures, a production house promoting regional Indian cinema. With a reported net worth of Rs 650 crore, it's safe to say that Priyanka Chopra isn't just playing the fame game; she's winning it. So while Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt continue to shine at home, Priyanka Chopra is making sure the world remembers who wore the crown first; bollywood royalty, international star, and now, the highest-paid actress in Indian cinema. Happy Birthday to the unstoppable PC who is proving once again that some queens never leave the throne, they simply expand their kingdom.
