Rangers icon Paul Gascoigne's business firm forced to close by Companies House after five failed attempts

RANGERS legend Paul Gascoigne's personal company has been shut down after it failed to file records on time.
The football great set up Gazza8 Limited in 2019 to channel income from TV appearances, documentaries and a planned film on his life.

Companies House has now announced the firm has been dissolved via a compulsory strike off action after its accounts were not submitted by the required deadline.
The company's first set of financial figures were due by October 26 2021 but Gascoigne failed to file any paperwork since it was set up.
Former England midfielder Gascoigne, 58, was the sole director of the Dorset-based company and owned all the shares in it.
He had staved off five earlier attempts to have it closed down for failure to file records.
Gascoigne, who also played for Tottenham, Newcastle and Lazio, has struggled with alcohol addiction for many years.
In a podcast interview last year, he revealed he was back attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and was sleeping in the spare bedroom of his agent.
He said: "I used to be a happy drunk, I ain't anymore. I'm a sad drunk. I don't go out and drink, I drink indoors.
"If I want to make it a bad day, I go down the pub. If I want it to be a good day, I get my flying rod out and go fishing."
He added: "I try not to get down because the world's already down enough and when I'm really down, that's when I pick up a drink to cheer myself up.
"I don't think I let any managers down, or the players or the fans, you know.

"If there was anyone I let down, it was myself. But more the drinking side of it, when I finished playing."
Gascoigne signed for Rangers in 1995 and spent three years with the club, quickly becoming a fans' favourite as he helped them win a record-equalling nine in a row league titles.
In his debut season, he was voted Scottish player of the year and also had memorable moments playing for England, including a goal against Scotland.
Gascoigne's representatives were approached for comment.

The Norwegian international promises to bring flair and attacking intent to Ibrox, and in his first interview since arriving in Glasgow he spoke about how as soon as he knew the Light Blues were interested, his mind was made up. Speaking to Rangers TV, Aasgaard said: "I'm delighted to be here. It's been quite a few days waiting for it but I'm really happy to get it over the line. "When I heard (about Rangers' interest) I was over the moon. I've played against the manager a few times and I've always seen myself in his team. "It was quite an easy decision to be fair. I love the amount of games here, the stature of the club and that itself is enough. "I think just having the trust from the manager is really important and just being here one day, I can already see he wants me to express myself in his system and I'm really looking forward to play a part. "I remember when we played his Swansea teams, we never really touched the ball! "I always thought it'd be fun to play in that sort of team." Aasgaard qualifies for Norway due to the fact his father is from there but he himself was born in Liverpool, and that's also where his pro football journey started. It was a decision that worked out as Aasgaard racked up over 150 appearances for the Latics, building a reputation for himself as a goalscoring midfielder in League One. He said: "I played for Liverpool for five years. "I was a young kid, 14, moved to Wigan, and kind of developed through the academy there and made my debut when I was 18. "It was four or five years of progression, really. It kind of started off quite raw, playing a lot of games, but just finding my feet. "And then coming into the age of 19, 20, I really started to impose myself on our team. We won the league and won it well and got promoted, and it was a chance to show myself in the championship. "I think I did quite well, although we got relegated. But last season and the season before was really where I started to step into my own body and really become the player I am. "I grew a lot of confidence and scored some goals." Aasgaard signed for Luton in the January transfer window last season as the Hatters looked to desperately cling on to their Championship status. While they ultimately couldn't fend off the threat of relegation, Aasgaard left a mark on Kenilworth Road with fans and boss Matt Bloomfield sad to see him leave. Aasgaard said: "I went there to try and help them, and unfortunately, it didn't go as we planned. "But, you know, I'd like to think I gave my all, and I loved my time there. Loved every minute." Whilst at Luton, Aasgaard made his debut for Norway in a World Cup qualifier against Moldova. As first caps go it was a dream, as he scored the third goal in a 5-0 win. Also on the scoresheet that night? A certain Erling Haaland. Martin Odegaard captained the side that evening too, playing in midfield alongside Aasgaard. "They really took me in well," said Aasgaard. "To be fair, I feel really part of the group. We've got a top, top group. We've had a strong start to the World Cup qualifiers. "So, yeah, to play in the World Cup next year is a big goal for me. "Hopefully I can show the manager that I'm ready with some performances here." Not only does he want to show the national team manager what he's capable of right away, but Aasgaard is keen for the Rangers fans to see what he's all about. He said: "I feel at home already. The facilities are fantastic. It's a really good change in me. I can't wait. "It just feels like the right thing in my career. To be playing in front of some amazing fans at an amazing stadium, it's what I've been dreaming of. "I'd say I have a bit of flair, I'm full of confidence and not afraid to shoot from distance. But rather than slowing down, the signing frenzy looks set to accelerate. interested in 'Brazilian magician' Weslley Patati, a versatile attacker who primarily plays off the right wing. Those reports are yet to be substantiated but the £8.6m rated Brazilian certainly seems to fit the bill, because the Rangers Review report that, even with Aasgaard in the building, Rangers are in the market for THREE new wingers.
