Wrestler Kyle Snyder pleads guilty to disorderly conduct
Snyder, a 2016 Olympic gold medalist, remains listed as temporarily suspended for 'allegations of misconduct' by SafeSport.
SafeSport handles allegations of emotional, physical and sexual abuse in Olympic and Paralympic sports.
Snyder was first suspended last Wednesday. He has since completed a john school course designed for men arrested for soliciting sex.
'I've learned a lot through this process. It's taught me a lot about myself, and I plan on making much better decisions,' Snyder said while taking part virtually in a court hearing Monday. 'I learned about why I made the decision that I did, which was because I had too much pride. I learned about the impact that these decisions have on not just my family but the community.'
In addition to his 2016 Olympic title, Snyder earned bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and placed fifth in Paris last year.
In April, Snyder qualified for one of two 97kg spots at Final X, the June 14 event that determines the U.S. team for this September's World Championships.
USA Wrestling has not announced whether Snyder will keep that spot, should his SafeSport suspension be lifted.

The Seattle Police Department alleged in their report that, after reviewing security footage, Richardson was seen repeatedly bumping into Coleman as he attempted to remove himself from the situation. They also claimed Richardson threw a pair of headphones at Coleman. The New York Times reported that Coleman did not press charges against Richardson and that he "declined to be a victim." Richardson was arrested and booked at the South Correctional Entity in Washington on Sunday, July 27, and released the following day. USA Track and Field told USA Today that it was "aware of the report," but declined to comment on Richardson's legal woes at the time. Gigante makes huge move in Tour shake up
French rider Pauline Ferrand-Prevot took a commanding lead at the Tour de France Femmes after launching a solo attack on the final climb of Saturday's penultimate stage. But Australian rider Sarah Gigante surged into second place, 2 minutes, 37 seconds behind, on a day of big changes in the leading positions. The 2023 champion, Demi Vollering of the Netherlands, is 3:18 adrift heading into Sunday's last stage. Overnight leader Kimberley Le Court Pienaar - Gigante's AG Insurance-Soudal teammmate - crashed on the descent from the Col du Frene with 63km remaining, briefly trailing the peloton by about a minute. She rejoined but the effort and the relentless climbing cost her dear in the general classification as she dropped to 11th place. Last year's event had the smallest winning margin in the history of the women's and men's races, but Ferrand-Prevot - who won the mountain bike gold medal at last year's Paris Olympics - looks like winning far more comfortably, despite Gigante's efforts. The Frenchwoman trailed Le Court by 26 seconds heading into stage eight from Chambery to Saint-François-Longchamp, which took the riders on a 112km trek into the mountains. It featured an early climb of 13km up Col de Plainpalais before finishing with a tortuous ascent of 18.6km to Col de Madeleine, one of the most famed climbs in cycling.
