ANP opposes any military operation in KP
Mian Iftikhar in a statement here on Sunday expressed deep concern over the prevailing security situation in the province, stating that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was filled with militants. He said that militants were present in every district and city of the province, with Buner being declared a 'province' by militant groups.
He questioned the effectiveness of military operations, stating that if 21 previous operations had not brought peace, it was unclear how a 22nd operation would succeed. He criticized the federal government's failure to implement the National Action Plan, which was designed to tackle militancy and restore peace.
He emphasized the need for targeted operations against the militants, who had made lives of people rather than targeting innocent civilians.
He also rejected any peace negotiations that prioritize the safety of militants over civilians. He said that the security situation was going from bad to worse but both the federal and provincial governments were least bothered to take immediate steps for restoration of peace.

In an interesting but important development, US President Donald Trump has said he 'will substantially raise tariffs on India' over its purchases of Russian oil. In his new post, the US President assailed New Delhi for buying Russian oil and then selling it. Over the weekend the Indian government had said that India would keep purchasing oil from Russia despite Trump threats, prompting White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller to officially accuse India of effectively financing Russia's war in Ukraine by purchasing oil from Moscow. The Indian diaspora or NRIs (non-resident Indians) in North America in particular are being chastised for Modi government's policy of funding the Russian war to kill innocent men and women in Ukraine. India deserved it because it had been trying to appease both the US and Russia simultaneously by pursuing the policy of running with the hares and hunting with the hounds. Now for the Sangh Parivar chickens have finally come home to roost. The consequences of India's bad actions are therefore unpleasant and unavoidable. Gaza victims: Alkhidmat Foundation dispatches 28th consignment of aid
LAHORE: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has dispatched its 28th consignment of relief aid comprising 100 tons of essential supplies for the distressed families in Gaza facing an acute food crisis. The latest consignment, arranged in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), was flown from Islamabad via a special aircraft to Amman, Jordan, from where it will be transported to Gaza for distribution among displaced Palestinian families. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, President of Alkhidmat Foundation Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, and senior NDMA officials were present at the airport to oversee the departure of the cargo. Speaking on the occasion, Dar commended Alkhidmat's tireless efforts in Gaza and assured the Foundation of the government's full support in continuing its humanitarian operations. 'The people of Gaza are going through unimaginable suffering. We appreciate Alkhidmat's continued dedication and will extend all possible cooperation,' said the Deputy Prime Minister. According to Dr. Hafeez-ur-Rehman, the shipment includes 65 tons of canned food, 20 tons of powdered milk for children, 5 tons of biscuits, and 10 tons of essential medicines. He noted that Alkhidmat has been actively involved in Gaza's relief efforts for the past 22 months, dispatching thousands of tons of aid via multiple air and sea consignments. 'Out of the 28 consignments sent so far, 24 have been transported via air cargo and 4 by sea. The aid has included food, cooked meals, meat, medicines, tents, and other essential supplies,' said Dr. Rehman. Alkhidmat maintains a field office in Cairo, Egypt, to coordinate ongoing relief efforts. On-ground operations inside Gaza include the distribution of cooked meals, clean drinking water, and critical medical supplies. BHC admits pleas against Mines & Minerals Act for hearing
QUETTA: Balochistan High Court (BHC) has admitted multiple petitions challenging the Mines and Minerals Act for regular hearing. A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Rozi Khan Bareech and Justice Sardar Ahmed Halimi heard the petitions and directed the federal and provincial governments to submit their responses within two weeks. During the proceedings, petitioner Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani argued that the Mines and Minerals Act goes against public interest. He announced plans to convene an all-parties conference on the issue. The legislation has been contested by several political parties, including ANP, BNP, Pashtunkhwa MAP, National Party, JUI, and others. The court has clubbed all petitions together for consolidated hearing.
