A UAE dessert chain is making waves online with its latest invention a dessert 'burger' but not everyone is ready to take a bite.
Dubai's obsession with over-the-top food trends continues and this time it comes sandwiched in cake. A UAE-based dessert bar launched the Dubai Chocolate Burger, a decadent creation that's quickly gone viral on Instagram, sparking both curiosity and debate.
In a reel that has racked up thousands of views, a food vlogger unveiled the sweet monstrosity: layers of pistachio mousse, crispy kunafa and a rich Belgian brownie, all stacked between two halves of a fluffy English cake. It comes with a generous container of warm Belgian chocolate, which can be drizzled over the 'burger" or used as a dip- depending on how indulgent you're feeling.
The dessert is available at B Laban, a popular dessert chain with multiple branches across the UAE, and is priced at AED 30 (roughly ₹750). According to the Instagram reel's caption, the Dubai Chocolate Burger is the newest item from a dessert chain originally known in Egypt.
'This trend has taken over all the food items you can imagine, and here we've got a burger!" the vlogger said, adding, 'It tastes yummy and can be shared too."

The dessert ignited a range of reactions online. While many users were mesmerized by the visual appea, others were quick to question the health implications. On user wrote, 'Why does it look so satisfying?" while another joked, 'Add insulin to that burger."
'Such an amazing experience," one commenter said while another simply declared, 'Nooooo!!! Too much!" Some responses were more blunt with comments like 'One word: diabetes".
