While we now know her best as Jeff Bezos's better half, when Lauren Sánchez was young, she was a regular on Hollywood's red carpets.
The New Mexico native moved to Los Angeles in her early 20s to kickstart her career as a reporter and TV host. There, she became a young mom, married businessman Patrick Whitsell, welcomed two more kids, and had a successful television career.
After founding her aerial film and production company, Black Ops Aviation, in 2016, her life changed when Bezos hired her company to film footage for his space company, Blue Origin. In 2018, while both were married to other people, they began an affair that became public in 2019.
Once they ended their marriage, Bezos and Sánchez stopped hiding their romance and became the high-profile couple we know today.

In 2002, Sánchez was working as a news anchor when she made one of her earliest red carpet appearances alongside her then-boyfriend, NYPD Blue star Henry Simmons.
Sánchez's was slowly establishing her celebrity status while balancing her day job as a news anchor and life as a single mom of one after welcoming her first son, Nikko, with ex-boyfriend Tony Gonzalez.
Sánchez was all smiles at the 2003 premiere of Bruce Almighty.
In 2004, Sánchez was dating her future husband, Patrick Whitsell. She and the businessman married in 2005 and welcomed two kids together during their marriage.
In 2005, Sánchez became the host of a brand new competition show, So You Think You Can Dance. She ended up leaving the show after one season to have her second child.
