Bhopal: Drawing inspiration from Barcelona's artistic and architectural landmarks, CM Mohan Yadav has announced plans to develop theme-based parks, and promote cultural conservation in the state.
The announcement came on the final day of his Spain tour, during which he visited Park Guell, the Sagrada Família and the Picasso Museum.
The visit began on Friday with Park Guell -- a UNESCO World Heritage site. Yadav admired the park's harmony between nature and architecture, noting iconic elements like the Dragon Staircase, the Hypostyle Hall with 86 columns and the Serpentine Bench decorated with vibrant mosaics.
He described the park as a model of urban beautification, green development and culturally rich public spaces, adding that theme-based artistic parks blending traditional art can similarly be developed in Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav also visited the Sagrada Família, one of Europe's most renowned basilicas under construction for over 140 years. He appreciated Gaudí's visionary work that unites spiritual architecture, organic forms and symbolic art.
The CM emphasised that such long-term, people-centric and globally inspired design approaches should guide the development of religious sites like Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Chitrakoot.
