Ioan Gruffudd and Bianca Wallace tie the knot after ugly Alice Evans divorce

Metro26-04-2025
Ioan Gruffudd and Bianca Wallace have tied the knot.
The pair took to Instagram with some grainy footage of their big day, which was had by the coast, and announced: 'Mr & Mrs Gruffudd 💘Marriage now, wedding later.'
Welsh actor Gruffudd, 51, and Australian actor Wallace, 32, went official with their relationship in October 2021 after he filed a divorce from The Christmas Carol actor Alice Evans and a bitter custody battle ensued that's still ongoing today.
Wallace wore a silky haterneck wedding dress, while Gruffudd sported a formal suit. It appears the low-key day could be followed by a bigger celebration, as indicated by the couple's post.
On announcing their engagement in January 2024, Wallace took to Instagram with a picture of her wearing an emerald ring.
She captioned the post: 'The most precious thing happened…' alongside a heart and ring emoji.
Gruffudd and his ex-wife Evans – who met on the set of 102 Dalmations in 2000 – finalised their divorce in July 2023 after 14 years together, in which time they welcomed daughters Ella and Elsie in 2009 and 2013.
But the pair are still locked in ugly legal proceedings years on.
January 2021: Their separation is announced, with Evans bluntly taking to social media to say: 'Sad news. My beloved husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week. Me and our young daughters are very confused and sad. We haven't been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me'. I'm so sorry.'
They later released a joint statement saying they were going through 'an incredibly difficult time for our family' but remained committed to their children.
October 2021: Gruffudd goes Instagram official with Wallace
February 2022: Gruffudd files restraining order against Evans. As per multiple US news reports, Gruffudd alleged in court filings that Evans repeatedly told him between August 2020 and 1 January 2021 that 'if I left her, she would make false public accusations about me, sell false stories about me to the press, and destroy me and my career' including accusing him of child and domestic abuse.
He also claimed she made social media posts targeting him and left him 'hundreds' of 'abusive' messages.
Evans denied all his accusations, saying his complaint was 'a ploy to gain some sort of advantage over me in our divorce proceedings'.
June 2022: Evans launched a GoFundMe page after saying she'd run out of money due to paying for her girls and divorce lawyers. Gruffudd accused Evans of 'exaggerating' her money struggles.
August 2022: Gruffudd was granted a three-year restraining order against Evans. It also banned her from mentioning him on social media, after he claimed Evans used online platforms to 'harass, threaten' and 'disturb' his peace. The order is reported to expire on August 2, 2025.
June 2023: The couple's daughter Ella filed an application for a restraining order against Gruffudd and Wallace, but it was later denied. Gruffudd blamed the move on Evans, branding her a 'child abuser' and claiming she interfered with the girls going to therapy. Evans denied abusing or harming her daughters.
October 2024: Court documents revealed, as per People, Gruffudd was ordered to pay Evans £3,000 a month in temporary child support and $1,500 a month in temporary spousal support to Evans, with a more permanent arrangement still to be made.
February 2025: Evans says she's being evicted from her LA home after being 'unable to pay her rent'.
Last year, Ioan accused Evans of violating a restraining order by allegedly posting about him on social media, violating a DVRO (domestic violence restraining order] and breaching the terms of their custody agreement.
In paperwork filed at Los Angeles Superior Court – obtained by DailyMail.com – Gruffudd alleged: 'I have discovered several social media posts by Alice where she has openly disparaged me and my fiancee, and where she has posted medical information of our children, in continued violation of the DVRO [domestic violence restraining order] and in violation of our Stipulation [agreement about child custody].
'Alice's public harassment affects my public reputation and my ability to obtain new work.'
The actor's legal team cited alleged examples including Evan's seeming contribution to a discussion on social media which encouraged users to share 'common misconceptions about family court you wish you had understood better'.
Evans is alleged to have written: 'That you can hand out a DVRO for 'mean text messages' but when actual violence happens, no DVRO because it's 'hard to prove…
'That my ex could just make up a bunch of lies about our 20-year relationship, say it was abusive and that I abused the kids and that the court (and BOTH sets of lawyers at the time) would just believe him. Despite copious evidence in the form of his own words in post interviews to the contrary.'
Gruffudd's team also shared another example of a social media post which alleged Evans had complained about having to pay hundreds of dollars for medicine for one of their daughters when she was sick. More Trending
The posts were allegedly made during September 2024. Evans has previously insisted she no longer complains about her ex online.
In a court filing at the start of September, she submitted a sworn statement in which she declared: 'I have not engaged in that conduct for years. Ioan's allegations that I continued to post to social media using fake accounts was addressed by the police and found to be completely false.
'I sincerely hope that, at least for the sake of our children who have been dealing with this for four years now, Ioan can accept my apology and we can move on to the actual issues that remain to be settled.'

'Influencer' who garnered more than 165,000 followers while 'enjoying Wimbledon' is revealed as an AI creation

She has 165,000 followers on Instagram and recently posted images showing her enjoying the tennis at Wimbledon. But the 'model' whose social media persona became an internet sensation at the championships was actually created by AI. The posts on Mia Zelu's Instagram page were so carefully curated that they hoodwinked more than 40,000 people into liking her pictures and leaving comments in the belief that she was real and at the tournament. With images of her on Centre Court or enjoying a Pimm's, even Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was taken in. The 27-year-old was at Wimbledon but discovered the account he had liked was a fake one and quickly deleted all of his interactions with it. The online comments by Zelu, who embodied the quintessential Wimbledon look of summery dresses and golden tan, reflect the language used by actual Instagram influencers. In one she asks her followers: 'Which Wimbledon match was your fave?' Despite not actually being at the tournament, Zelu also remarked: 'Still not over the event... but the party's a whole other game.' Her creators, who remain anonymous, explain in a profile that she is an 'AI storyteller', adding she has a sister called 'Ana' with 266,000 followers on her account. Despite the clear indication that the account is not that of a real person, Zelu's followers still send her messages – including proposals of marriage.

MasterChef star Julie Goodwin (pictured) shared some exciting family news with her fans on Sunday Julie's exciting announcement comes just days after she issued a statement defending her weight loss after fans raised concerns about her health. Julie shared an update on Instagram after a new photo, in which she looked very slim, was posted to her account. Her dramatic transformation led to comments from worried followers. 'Thanks to all who have expressed concern about my health. I am well and I am within the healthy weight range. My doctor concurs,' she wrote. 'For those who have asked me for advice or tips, I am not qualified to provide this. It's advice that should be sought from your trusted health professionals, not from me. I'm a TV cook,' Julie continued. 'For those who want to comment on the shape and condition of my body please, do it on your own page because I'm tired of reading it. For that reason I'll be turning off comments on this post. 'For all of us can we please find something more interesting to talk about. Can we please model kindness to our kids and grandkids and can we please leave this obsession with people's looks back in the 1980s. Peace and love.' Julie was prompted to speak out after a selfie shared this week led to comments inquiring about whether she is 'sick'. 'I'm actually concerned... to be honest, but if you are healthy and well there is nothing to worry about,' one fan commented. 'Oh Julie…. too much weight loss,' another chimed in, while one more said, 'She is sick. She looks shocking.' 'Julie you are awesome, but are you okay?' someone else asked, with one more posting, 'Are you okay Julie? You don't look okay. Hope there's nothing wrong.' 'She looks like a skeleton,' one more person wrote, with yet another saying, 'OMG you look so ill.' Others defended Julie, with one person writing, 'Love how people speculate she is on the jabs. My bet is she is looking after herself and eating the right foods.' 'OMG Julie you look amazing! You have a beautiful smile. Keep shining!' another said. One more chimed in: 'Can everyone stop commenting on Julie's weight and telling her she's too thin? All you're doing is projecting on her what YOU think she should look like. If she had always looked like this, no-one would say anything. 'Just be happy for her that she's happy, her doctor's happy, and she's healthy!' Julie recently revealed she had lost more weight following her dramatic 'accidental' transformation, which saw her drop a whopping 20kg almost a decade ago.
