The attack occurred around 12.30 pm local time at the popular Or Tor Kor fresh food market. The assailant, wearing a black T-shirt and military-style shorts and carrying a backpack, was believed to have used a handgun to open fire on others. Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police, Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, confirmed the case and said the assailant was male and had used the handgun to take his own life at the scene. "Two women were also injured and have been transported to Phyathai Phahol Hospital by volunteer responders," the Erawan Centre said in a brief statement on Monday. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
