Mukesh Ambani, Isha Ambani to spin off this division from Reliance Retail, it will become separate…
It was launched in 2022 when Reliance Consumer Products was a big player in the FMCG sector. In its FY25 Q4 results, the company reported revenues of Rs 11,500 crore more than its other competitors. Over 60% of these revenues were generated by general trade and major contributions were from its in-house brands.
Considering the possibility of rapid growth and strong performance, Reliance Group may spin off the business, according to media reports. Reliance Retail Q4 Results
In the March quarter, Reliance Retail saw over 2.4 times growth in terms of the number of orders, which is a significant scale-up, said its CFO Dinesh Taluja during the earnings call earlier this week.
'And we are seeing very strong traction with a 2.4x quarter-over-quarter growth in daily exit orders. And this number will scale up substantially in the coming year as well. We are also starting to proactively market this proposition, our proposition of no hidden charges, quick delivery, and no delivery fees continues to resonate very well with the customers,' said Taluja.
Reliance covers hyper-local deliveries, a sub-30-minute delivery, at 4,000 pin codes across the country through its network of existing stores, which has a much wider reach than any other quick commerce player in the country.
Through its JioMart app, Reliance Retail is offering quick and scheduled deliveries, which currently has three types of services.
There is an under-30-minute quick service, and second is a scheduled delivery, where the assortment is much wider, and then there is a subscription service, where a customer can subscribe and everyday goods are delivered at doorsteps early morning.
'All three are picking up very well. The average daily orders were up 62 per cent on a Y-o-Y basis,' he said, adding, 'Specifically, our under 30-minute offering, which has the widest network reach. We have almost 2,000-plus stores which are on the network, covering more than 4,000 plus pin codes. So this is much wider reach than any other quick commerce player. We have kind of re-pivoted our model completely to under 30 minutes delivery.
'There are some dark pockets where we will set up dark stores also, wherever there is a genuine requirement, there is enough volume and we cannot service it within 30 minutes, we may set up some dark stores as well. So that is on the quick commerce side of it.
'Our stores, purely on a standalone basis, are seeing double-digit like for like growth for last several quarters. So stores are also growing pretty rapidly. We are not seeing that impact either in metro or in any other city,' he said.
Similarly, for its online fashion business Ajio, Reliance Retail has launched same-day and next-day delivery across 26 cities. 'So, we are increasing the speed at which we are able to deliver the products,' he said.

Kusum-C scheme: Target to generate 2,400MW solar power for farmers, says George
Hassan: Under the Kusum-C scheme, which aims to solarise agricultural feeders and provide daytime electricity supply to farmers' pumpsets, 200MW of electricity is being produced. In the coming months, 545MW of electricity will be generated, stated energy minister KJ George. Speaking to reporters after the energy department's progress review meeting of Hassan district, held on Friday at the Zilla Panchayat hall in the city, George said, "Under the Kusum-C scheme, construction of solar units with a capacity of around 200MW is completed. In the next few months, solar units with a capacity of 545MW will be commissioned at 93 locations. This will help provide an adequate daytime electricity supply to farmers. " "The state govt has set a target of generating 2,400MW of solar electricity through feeder solarisation of agricultural pumpsets under the Kusum-C scheme. Recently, chief minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated a solar power unit established under the Kusum-C scheme in Gauribidanur. The feeder solarisation work is progressing at a rapid pace," the energy minister added. Under the Kusum-C scheme, generating 1MW of electricity requires 4 acres of land. If govt land is available, CM Siddaramaiah has directed that it be allocated free of cost. However, private power producers must pay Rs 25,000 per acre, which will be deposited with the district commissioner and used to improve govt schools and anganwadis in villages where the substations are located, the minister elaborated. "If private land is used, developers awarded the power generation contracts will lease the land and pay landowners a minimum of Rs 25,000 per acre," George said. Of the 4 lakh unauthorised irrigation pumpsets in the state, 3 lakh are already regularised. For pumpsets within 500m of power feeders, transformers will be installed by the department. Those beyond 500m will receive solar pumpsets under the Kusum-B scheme, he said. Earlier, during a progress review meeting, the district MLAs raised issues concerning the energy department in their constituencies. In response, George instructed the CESC MD to take swift action and reiterated that officials should proactively consult elected representatives and follow through on their suggestions. MP Shreyas Patel, MLA and Housing Board chairman KM Shivalingegowda, MLAs K Manju, Swaroop Prakash, CN Balakrishna, HK Suresh, and S Manjunath, KPTCL MD Pankaj Kumar Pandey, DC S Latha Kumari, and ZP CEO BR Poornima were present.

On the block: 20 acres in New Town for residential and commercial use
1 2 Kolkata: Bengal govt will unlock around 20 acres – the size of 20 football fields – in New Town Action Area II and III for residential, commercial and mixed-use purposes. HIDCO will allot the land parcels on a freehold basis through e-auction next month. Two plots of 4.1 acre each in Action Area II and three plots measuring 7.3 acres, 3.2 acres, and 0.6 acres in Action Area III have been identified for development. The starting bid price for the largest land parcel of 7.3 acre has been fixed at Rs 292.2 crore while that for the smallest of 0.6 acre has been kept at Rs 26 crore. Govt officials said New Town was being developed with a planned population of 10 lakh. With Action Area I and parts of Action Area II already developed, the focus was now on the rest of Action Area II and Action Area III. It was decided a few years back that all plots in the township would be sold only through commercial bidding. "New Town is planned on about 7,598 acres of land on the north-eastern fringes of Kolkata and is fast emerging as one of the country's fastest-growing planned cities. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 새로 나온 '실비보험' 최적가 가입추천! Around 12,000 dwelling units have already been constructed in the township, and another 16,000 units are coming up. The township is expected to have around two lakh dwelling units catering to housing needs in the near future," an official said. Welcoming the decision, New Town Citizens Welfare Fraternity secretary Samir Gupta said, "The more residential and commercial housing comes up, the better it will be for the township's overall development. The authorities should also look to improve civic infrastructure, especially in Action Area III, and should consider exploring the monorail option, which was proposed earlier to connect Action Area III with Biswa Bangla Sarani. " Samaresh Das of New Town forum said, "So far, most development in New Town has happened in Action Area I. It is good that more housing will come up with a focus on Action Area III, where IT giants are setting up their offices. This will help in the all-round development of the township."

5 districts corner 5L cr realty boom
Ahmedabad: Gujarat's real estate sector attracted Rs 5.03 lakh crore in investments since the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) in 2017. However, a lion's share of 94% of this capital is concentrated in just five districts: Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot, largely driven by rapid urbanisation, better infrastructure, and stronger demand for housing and commercial spaces. In contrast, the remaining 28 districts, which house nearly two-thirds (64%) of Gujarat's population, received only 6% of the total investment. Experts, however, have raised concerns over resource concentration and highlighted the need for more equitable infrastructure growth across Gujarat's smaller towns. According to the latest data released by the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA), these five urban hubs account for 86% of all registered projects and 89% of the total housing units in the state. You Can Also Check: Ahmedabad AQI | Weather in Ahmedabad | Bank Holidays in Ahmedabad | Public Holidays in Ahmedabad Ahmedabad alone attracted Rs 2.1 lakh crore, or 42% of the total investment, solidifying its position as the state's real estate capital. "Higher education levels and urban migration are also driving real estate growth in large cities. In smaller towns, plotting schemes are more popular, where individuals build their own homes, and these often don't reflect in RERA data. Also, many small projects in small towns do not get registered with RERA so their actual share may be a bit higher. " However, the skewed development of the state limited to urban centres is fairly visible. Drawing on the 2011 Census data, only 36% of Gujarat's population lives in its top five districts, which account for an overwhelming majority of the state's real estate activity. The remaining 64%, spread across smaller towns and rural regions, has seen just a fraction of the investment and project activity. "All other districts collectively account for 16% of project contribution, 6% of investments, and 11% of units, suggesting a dispersed yet modest contribution from remaining regions," the report states, hinting at a widening regional divide in infrastructure development and economic and commercial activities. Since RERA's implementation, Gujarat saw the registration of 15,260 projects covering a carpet area of 13.11 crore sq m, translating into 18.20 lakh housing units. Of these, over 8,400 projects were completed.
