Man City win record fourth PL2 title
Ben Wilkinson's side came top of the league phase and emerged through the play-offs to lift the trophy at Joie Stadium on Thursday evening.
First-half goals from Divin Mubama and Ashton Muir gave City a comfortable victory, keeping the Saints in check for the majority of the contest.
The squad received a message from first-team manager Pep Guardiola, who said: "To win the Premier League title is such a tough thing to achieve and a matter of huge pride for us all at the club.
"The manner of their victory showed how talented our young players are and also proved that they play with courage and personality too.
"We see how strong the academy is every single day, and the quality is there every single time the young players train with us."

A loan move to Girona may beckon for a talented young Manchester City centre-back
One player who could shine for Manchester City if given the opportunity next season is young centre-back Vitor Reis. The young Brazilian defender has shown snippets of his quality since signing for the club during the January transfer window. But heading into the 25/26 season Pep Guardiola's squad is loaded with centre-backs. If players such as John Stones, Nathan Ake or Manuel Akanji don't leave the club this summer it's hard to see how Vitor Reis will be given opportunities to play next season. Now it has been reported that Girona are eager to sign Vitor Reis on loan for next season. That could be the ideal setting for Reis to play regular first-team football in La Liga in a bid to further his development for a long career at Manchester City. Multiple reports indicate that Girona are interested in signing Vitor Reis on loan. Spanish reporter Nil Solà has reported that Girona are eager to bring Vitor Reis to the club on loan for next season. Furthermore, Solà reports that Vitor Reis' strong aerial ability and his ball-playing prowess make him an ideal signing for Girona. Lastly, Solà reports that Vitor Reis is reportedly keen on a move to Girona. There may not be opportunities for Vitor Reis to play regularly at Manchester City next season. Looking at Pep Guardiola's squad it is stacked with centre-backs. Currently, Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis are in the City squad. It is hard to see Manchester City entering next season with 7 centre-backs. Although, based on City's defensive injuries last season perhaps that number isn't enough. Unless a centre-back or two are sold it's hard to see where Vitor Reis will get minutes next season. He'd likely spend next season on the periphery of Pep Guardiola's squad. Based on that fact a loan move to Girona could prove to be the ideal move for Reis. He can play at a high level while he develops as a player. That move could set him up for a long and prosperous career at Manchester City. With his obvious talent, physical attributes and potential there is little doubt that Vitor Reis will make the grade at City. He will likely benefit from a season playing in La Liga. That way he can hone his craft before potentially kicking on as a City player next season. Girona appear eager to sign Vitor Reis on loan for the 25/26 season. Looking at what may be best for his development that may be the better move for the young Brazilians career.
