James Gunn Says He's 'Very Involved' in DCU's THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD – Script in the Works — GeekTyrant
While most DC fans have been waiting for Matt Reeves' The Batman: Part II , whihc is still a few years out, there's another Batman movie in development with The Brave and the Bold , the DCU's own take on the Dark Knight. James Gunn, who's been busy shaping the future of the DCU and launching it with Superman , recently gave a small but reassuring update about the Batman project during a conversation in London. 'There's really no new updates,' Gunn said when asked about The Brave and the Bold. 'I mean, we're working on a script. We have a screenwriter who's hammering away at it. I'm very involved, and so, you know, we'll see what happens next. I wish I had more news for you, but I don't.' It's not much, but at least it's in active development, with Gunn keeping a close eye on the direction. Interestingly, he also shared that he has Reeves' The Batman: Part II script on hand: 'But luckily, I've got The Batman 2 script in my backpack, and I'm about to read it.' Two very different Batman films. Two different universes. And both of them are being nurtured with care. One is a gritty noir-driven sequel continuing Pattinson's journey, and the other, The Brave and the Bold , is expected to introduce a new Batman alongside his son Damian Wayne, all set within Gunn and Safran's broader DCU reboot. While concrete details are still under wraps, it's clear Gunn is deep in the Batcave on this one. Source: GamesRadar+

'Too Much' London And Brooklyn Filming Locations: The Restaurants, Pubs And Areas You Can Actually Visit
Lena Dunham's latest rom-com offering, Too Much, has a lot going on; from leads Jess (Megan Stalter) and Felix's (Will Sharpe) messy love affair, her toxic relationship with her ex's new fiancé (ELLE UK's cover star, Emily Ratajkowski) a bursting-at-the-seams celebrity cameo list (Jessica Alba, Andrew Scott, Kit Harington, Alix Earle and more). While you may have found yourself wrapped up in the drama of it all, one of the show's main components is its many locations. As the series sees Jess move to London, the city takes centre stage, with many well-known boroughs, pubs and restaurants featuring throughout the series. Below, we detail all of the exact filming locations seen throughout the 10-part series. At the beginning of the series, Jess's expectations of London and where she'll be living almost immediately falter when she quickly realises that she'll be living in a housing estate rather than a large aristocratic countryside home. The interior and exterior for her flat was filmed in a flat on St Peter's Estate in Hackney. Shoreditch's town hall doubled as the location for Jess's visit to the hospital after accidentally setting herself on fire and the vet where her dog Astrid was treated. After facing disappointment due to the reality of her less-than-glamorous living situation and surroundings in London, a level of hope is restored for Jess in the eighth episode when she accompanies Felix and his friends to a wedding at a country house estate. The wedding was filmed at Englefield Estate in west Berkshire. Throughout the series, observant restaurant-goers will have noticed that the show features a number of restaurants based in and outside of London. Frizzante at Hackney City Farm, The Ivy House in Nunhead and The Ivy Richmond Brasserie all make appearances. While searching for a location to film the agency's Christmas ad, Jess and her co-workers find themselves in the scenic village of Hambleden, Buckinghamshire, along with Andrew Scott's pompous director. While at a pub called The Royal Standard in Beaconsfield, Jess has an awkward drink with Scott's director. Once again, Jess finds a moment to escape the realities of London and takes a trip to Notting Hill to see the area where the titular movie was filmed. In one scene, Jess poses outside 280 Westbourne Park Road as Felix takes a picture of her. On two occasions, we see Felix play gigs alongside his band: one in a flashback and the latter in present day. The former takes place at a record and book shop called Dash The Henge in Camberwell. The venue was inspired by Lena's husband, Felix, who has previously played several gigs there in the past. Felix's second gig in the series takes place at the fictional Hackney 'DonkeyFest', which actually takes place at Hackney City Farm. He plays with his band as Jess and the Pollys (three of Felix's close female friends) look on and get to know Jess. During a flashback, we see Jess's awkward run in with her ex-boyfriend Zev and his new fiancé, Wendy. The encounter takes place at Cuppa Hive Coffee, Brooklyn. After many privately recorded video messages to Wendy later, Jess finally meets her Zev's new fiancé in the final episode. The pair meet for a coffee, at a family-owned restaurant called Chambers, near Victoria Park. As another flashback takes place, we see how Jess and her then boyfriend Zev came to be. The pair first met at Alligator Lounge in Brooklyn, a well-known bar where guests can buy budget friendly drinks alongside free pizza. Lena Dunham's ‘Too Much' Misses Netflix Top 10 In Release Week
While some reviews hail it the 'best show on Netflix,' an extensive press rollout that included a feature in The New York Times and hype around show creator Lena Dunham's much-talked-about return to television, her new show, 'Too Much,' didn't take off on Netflix during its debut week. "Too Much" is now streaming. Netflix The streamer on Tuesday released viewing data for the top 10 most-watched shows of last week, and 'Too Much' didn't make the cut. The show, released on July 10, was not on the most popular list for the week of July 7 to 13, falling to the children's show "Miss Rachel" and other original programming like 'Ginny & Georgia" season 3, which first released six weeks ago. 'Too Much" is Dunham's return to the small screen after starring in and writing the hit series "Girls' in the mid 2010s, and she hit the publicity circuit hard before its release, giving interviews to Forbes, Interview Magazine, the New York Times, the Times of London, Variety and The New Yorker, among others. Dunham created the series with her husband, Luis Felber, and stars as the sister of main character Jessica, played by Megan Stalter, in a rom-com she said was inspired partially by her real-life relationships and bears several resemblances to her public breakup with Jack Antonoff, the writer-producer who works closely with Taylor Swift. Despite the hype, 'Too Much' has received mixed reviews—USA Today said it contained "the year's most devastating episode of TV" and MSNBC called it 'exactly what we need right now,' but the New York Times said it was "not nervy enough" and the Houston Chronicle called it a 'meh thing.' But it's also a self-consciously hip romcom with the whiniest leading man,' wrote Anita Singh of the Daily Telegraph. 'By the end, I didn't care if they lived happily ever after or not, as long as they weren't doing it in my earshot.' Dunham broke out as the creator and star of HBO's "Girls," which won two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Peabody, a BAFTA and a Directors Guild of America Award. The show ran from 2012 to 2017 and also starred Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet as best friends in New York City. 'Girls' is also credited with launching actor Adam Driver, who has gone on to star in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Dunham was included in the annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world in 2013 and had guest roles in other projects through the 2010s. She has created several films that were released to mixed reviews, and was on board to produce a film based on the Polly Pocket dolls before dropping out last year. Tangent "The Sandman" season 2 was the most-watched show on Netflix last week with almost 6 million views, followed by "The Waterfront," "Sullivan's Crossing," "7 Bears" and an all-women's boxing event starring Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
