Details: Sources told Ukrainska Pravda that the vessel in question is called Anka.
Ukrainian investigators have determined that the detained vessel is part of Russia's shadow fleet, used for selling stolen Ukrainian grain to third countries. In late 2024, the bulk carrier exported 5,000 tonnes of wheat from the port of Sevastopol, taken from the temporarily occupied territories in Ukraine's south.
The SBGS reports that the vessel flew the flag of an Asian country to conceal the cargo's origin.
During the search, shipping equipment, ship documentation and other material evidence linking the vessel and its crew to the illegal transport scheme have been seized.
The vessel has been impounded and the crew has been detained. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
Background: Ukraine's National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has sold the seized Russian oil tanker Nika Spirit via the Prozorro.Sale electronic auction platform. The tanker was sold for UAH 6.4 million (approximately US$154,000), significantly above its estimated value of UAH 2.4 million (around US$57,400).

Standing water, crawling roaches in a Wynwood restaurant closed by inspection
At Miami's 1-800-Lucky, you can buy vinyl records and sing karaoke along with killing lunch or dinner at an Asian food hall. But Friday left Lucky's management singing the blues in the night after a state inspector closed the food hall. A customer complaint brought a Florida Department of Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspector to 143 NW 23rd St. in the Wynwood area. The inspector found 12 violations, two of which were High Priority. MORE: Roach falling onto inspector's iPad among Miami to Palm Beach restaurant filth 'Observed black mold-like substance inside the ice machine at the bar area.' The bar area also had standing water. A quartet of roaches was spotted between a wall and food prep table in the Arigato Baby food prep area. Two roaches hung out on a back kitchen prep area wall. One roach sashayed across the main kitchen prep area floor. Another roach did the same on shelves near the front counter. Those were the living roaches. The dead roach breathed last in front of the barbecue cookline. 'In-use knife/knives were stored in cracks between pieces of equipment.' 'Single-service articles weren't stored in an inverted manner or protected from contamination' as in bar area straws sitting uncovered, vulnerable to anything. 1-800-Lucky passed re-inspection on Saturday.

Nunes defamation lawsuit over Rachel Maddow comment dismissed
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by former Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif) against MSNBC personality Rachel Maddow nearly five years ago. U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel ruled this week that Nunes failed to prove Maddow and her team at the network acted with actual malice during a discussion about a package Nunes received addressed to him from Andrii Derkach, a Ukrainian legislator with ties to Russian officials and intelligence services, while he was the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. 'The Court concludes that no reasonable jury could find that NBCU made the statement with constitutionally-defined actual malice,' Castel wrote. MSNBC is owned by NBC Universal as part of the Comcast corporate umbrella. Nunes, a longtime ally of President Trump, sued Maddow in 2021 alleging she and the network 'harbor an institutional hostility, hatred, extreme bias, spite and ill-will' toward the Republican. The suit specifically took issue with statements made by Maddow during her show on March 18 of that year, during which she suggested that Nunes refused to turn over a package he had reportedly received from the suspected Russian agent to the FBI. Castel in 2022 ruled Nunes' case could proceed, writing his attorneys had 'plausibly allege[d] actual malice' but did not make a determination about the merits of the former congressman's claim against the network. Maddow has for years attacked Trump, who has blasted Comcast over NBC News coverage of his administration and suggested critics such as Maddow be taken off the air.

Ukraine, Russia trade aorborne attacks killing 7 and injuring 13

File Photo by Ukrainian State Emergency Service/UPI | License Photo Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A "massive" Ukrainian drone strike against a strategic town in Russia's Volgograd province in the south of the country set a railway station ablaze, causing travel disruption and suspending flights at a local airport. Volgograd Gov. Andrei Bocharov said the drones targeted transport and energy facilities in Frolovo, 560 miles southeast of Moscow, impacting rail movements, which were restricted following the attack. "In Frolovo, firefighters are working to extinguish a blaze at the technical building of the Archeda station. Windows were shattered in two nearby residential buildings, though the passenger infrastructure of the station remains intact," said Bocharov. State-run Russian Railways confirmed the suspension of services in Frolovo amid the attack on the station -- a key waypoint in the supply route for the Russian presence in southern and eastern Ukraine. Footage circulating online, which the BBC said it had verified using geolocation techniques, showed a large blaze in what appears to be a fuel freight siding and a damaged station building. During the night, 61 Ukrainian drones were downed across Russian regions, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Russia replied with an aerial assault involving more than 162 drones and one ballistic missile fired at eastern Ukraine, killing at least seven people and injuring 13, according to Ukrainian authorities. The Zaporizhzhia region sustained the worst casualty toll, with three killed after 10 settlements were hit hundreds of times with air and rocket strikes and drones, while Kherson and Donetsk provinces each lost two of their own. The Ukrainian attacks on Russia followed a drone strike on Sunday on an oil depot in Sochi, 680 miles to the southwest on the Black Sea, that sparked a huge blaze that required more than 120 firefighters to bring under control. Ukraine has deployed long-range drones on numerous occasions to target fuel depots, rail infrastructure, and ammunition dumps far inside Russian territory as part of a military strategy to disrupt Russia's war machine, including factories and supply chains.
