Though audiences and critics alike have admired the film for its honesty, it hasn't quite managed to light up the box office just yet. After a slow start, the film earned Rs 14.31 crore in three days but has since struggled to maintain its momentum, as reported by the Sacnilk website.
Tuesday treat: Rs 99 tickets across theatres
In an effort to boost footfall and bring more eyes to the film, the production house announced a special one-day ticket offer.
On Tuesday, August 5, audiences could watch 'Dhadak 2' in theatres for just Rs 99. The studio shared the news with a hopeful message on Instagram: 'Ab har khushi mil jayegi! Witness the fight for love, this Tuesday starting at ₹99.'
It's a smart move aimed at increasing turnout mid-week—especially after the Monday dip. Fans of both Siddhant and Triptii welcomed the offer, seeing it as a chance to support a film with a socially relevant message and strong performances.
A weekend rise, but Monday blues hit hard
After earning Rs 3.5 crore on Friday, the film saw modest growth over the weekend Rs 3.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.15 crore on Sunday.
But Monday brought a sharp decline, with collections falling to just Rs 1.4 crore, a 66% drop. Occupancy rates also remained low, with major cities like Mumbai and Delhi hovering around 15%.
It's expected that the new ticket price will attract more audiences to the theatre.
