Revealed: The four hair products that give Princess Kate her glossy, thick hair

Ever wondered how Catherine, Princess of Wales, always has that thick, glossy, impossibly healthy hair? The royal blowout is practically a signature look, and it turns out, celebrity hair stylist Richard Ward has let slip exactly what helps give her hair that much body and bounce. Speaking recently on ITV's Lorraine, the English stylist and hairdresser (yes, the man behind her famous wedding day hair) opened up about how women struggling with fine or thinning hair, especially post 40, can recreate a fuller look. His top product picks are all surprisingly easy to find, with several available on Amazon Australia and currently marked down so you can save on healthy, shiny and fuller hair. Here are the four cult buys Richard swears by to create hair that feels and looks as thick as Kate's. 1. NIOXIN Scalp and Hair Thickening System was $110, now $59.95 at Amazon Australia This three-step system is designed for natural hair experiencing light thinning, and it works by clearing excess oils and residue from the scalp while moisturising and strengthening strands. Ward called NIOXIN 'fantastic', saying, 'I've seen it work'. Unlike a lot of harsh thickening products, this one is gentle enough for colour-treated hair but s till effective at boosting visible volume over time. The kit includes a shampoo, conditioner and thickening scalp treatment that's ideal for those starting to notice a bit of age-related hair loss or just feeling like their hair's falling flat. 2. Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray, $86.99 at Amazon Australia This cult thickening spray is a go-to for Richard Ward. 'It's one of my favourite products,' he shared, but he warns it's potent stuff. 'Be careful with this one, as it is quite strong, but I do love it.' Apply to wet hair in sections while blow drying for the ultimate lift and long-lasting body. The heat-protective formula works like a dream for building serious volume, even on fine hair that normally resists any kind of bounce. 3. Kérastase Densifique Mousse Densimorphose, $221.71 Ward admitted he wasn't a fan of mousse until he found this one. 'It gives volume without being sticky. It gives a lot of texture to the hair as well,' he explained. Kérastase's high-end mousse is more than just a styling product. It's a leave-in treatment that adds noticeable density over time. Just apply to damp hair before blow-drying for a silky finish that doesn't feel heavy or coated. Yes, it's pricey, but fans say it's worth every cent for how lush their hair looks. 4. Color Wow Raise the Root Thicken + Lift Spray, was $50, now $42 Rounding out the royal-approved list is this high-performing root lifter from Color Wow. 'It gives volume and bulk to the hair, which is what people want when they've got fine thinning hair,' said Ward. It's heat-safe, non-sticky, and delivers touchable volume that feels like your real hair, just better. Use it on wet or dry hair, especially at the roots, and watch it work like magic. Whether you're dealing with post-partum thinning, hormonal hair changes or just want to fake the look of thicker strands, these four stylist-approved products could be the hair hack you've been waiting for.

'Gobsmacked': community shows up for man seriously injured in house fire

Music was pumping, sausages were sizzling, and the Brights were overwhelmed with the show of support for their brother. Matthew Bright was rushed to hospital after suffering burns to 40 per cent of his body in an accidental kitchen fire in Waratah just before 5pm on July 7. Out the back of a local coffee spot on Sunday, July 27, the Waratah community wanted him to know he was not alone. "It's amazing, it's just an incredible show of support, you can see how many people love and support Matthew," Hugh-Angus Bright, Matthew's brother, said. Dan Brown, better known as the Mullet Lord online, held a fundraiser for Mr Bright's recovery at Lords Coffee and Associates in Waratah. Beginning at midday, Mr Brown said there was a "crazy" line out the front of the shop, and by 1.30pm he reckoned roughly 150 people had stopped by. "It's been quite a turnout, even the firies rocked up, which was really cool to see," he said. Like any fundraiser, people lined up to buy raffle tickets, but there weren't your typical prizes. Along with headgear and boots signed by the Knights' Kalyn Ponga, and a painting from Otis Carey, Mr Brown was parting with pieces of himself. Known for his long mane, the Mullet Lord snipped off strands to go to four lucky bidders. "They say haircuts don't hurt, but that one did," he said. "It stung every part of my body, but I've always been a team player and anything to raise money for Matt." Mr Bright's sister Ellie Bright said he was "gobsmacked" at the amount of community support pouring in through their GoFundMe page. "It's a terrible situation, but it has brought the best out in everyone around us," she said. "It makes me sad that there are so many people who might not have the network or the ability to do this type of thing." Mr Bright was receiving care at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital, where his condition, while serious, had stabilised. His brother, Nicholas, said they were taking it one day at a time. "We're just staying in the moment, and every day he is getting better," he said. The siblings said yesterday was a good day as Matthew had his favourite beverage, a diet coke, and listened to Triple J's Hottest 100 of Australian Songs. Ms Bright said her brother's recovery was heading in the right direction. "I kept saying he's having small wins every day and that will compound to big wins over time," she said. Learn more From Tomorrow When the War Began to Underbelly, Lincoln Lewis has shared the screen with some of Australia's biggest names. As the son of NRL legend Wally Lewis, fame runs in his family but he's forged his own successful path in the entertainment industry. Most still remember him as soapie heart-throb Geoff Campbell from Home and Away (2007-2010), a role that not only made many teens swoon but launched his career and saw him compete on Dancing With The Stars … twice. These days you'll find Lincoln presenting on Getaway, racking up travel miles and perfecting the art of carry-on packing. Here, Lincoln opens up about his gym essentials, travel must-haves, and his mum's self-help book recommendations (yes, he actually reads them). Plus he shares his wildest fan encounters (one word: bizarre) and reveals the Home and Away co-star he says changed his life. WHAT'S IN YOUR GYM BAG? 'I train in Lululemon a lot, they have great gear.' 'I don't do over-ears at the gym, I tried that once and was just sweating into my earphones. So I do AirPods.' WHAT'S YOUR SIGNATURE SCENT? 'I've got a mix for different occasions, whether it's catching up with mates or going out to dinner but my everyday cologne is Ralph Lauren Polo.' WHAT ARE YOUR CARRY-ON ESSENTIALS? The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, $18 (down from $32.99) at Amazon Australia WHAT ELSE ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT? 'The other two books I always keep with me are The Alchemist and Manuscript Found in Accra – it's just a really nice couple of questions that villagers had asked an Elder, it puts things into perspective.' WHAT'S BEEN YOUR WEIRDEST FAN INTERACTION? 'I've been asked to sign the inside of a car, the outside of a car. Some people will even ask me to sign replica weapons from different movies that I've had nothing to do with.' DO YOU HAVE AN ICONIC STORY FROM YOUR TIME ON HOME AND AWAY? 'I remember my first ever call back with Ray Meagher (who played Alf Stewart). He could tell I was really nervous and he turns to the casting director and says 'take five, love'. So here I am, 16 years old, my first ever big callback and Ray gives me a little five minute acting class. I was clearly nervous and he just wanted to help me improve. It's a lesson I'll never forget.' Stay up to date with the latest on fitness products by signing up to our checkout shopping newsletter to see the latest about new products and upcoming sales.
