Soccer-Fiery Swedish kit-man booked over throw-in towel tussle
AIK materials manager Hakan Sjoberg regularly places towels along the sidelines so that his players can dry the ball before attempting their long throw-ins, but against Oster they kept disappearing during the first half - and when Sjoberg left the dugout to replace them, a row broke out.
"'Can I have my towel back?', I said. But I didn't get it, so we started arguing, me and (Oster coach) Martin Foyston," the fiery Sjoberg revealed, and as tempers flared he was subsequently shown a yellow card for leaving the AIK technical area.
"Now I've got like 45 messages on my phone ... it was crazy. As long as it wasn't red, because I've gotten them too often," he added.
Oster boss Foyston was none too pleased with Sjoberg following a defeat for his side that saw AIK move to the top of the table with 10 points after four games.
"I don't think we should allow them to hang their laundry in our home arena - they can do it in their arena, but we shouldn't allow it here," he said brusquely in a post-match interview.
Sjoberg's side had the last laugh as Bersant Celina struck the winner in the 80th minute after Oster failed to clear a set-piece; unfortunately, the kit-man could not claim any credit for the goal as it came following a free kick, rather than a long throw.

Alexander Isak's Newcastle absence explained after Liverpool and Saudi transfer links
Alexander Isak was spotted training by himself at Newcastle, sparking renewed rumours about his future at the club following interest from Liverpool and the Saudi Pro League There was a simple reason behind Alexander Isak training alone at Newcastle – but rumours about his future are not going away. Newcastle fans went into meltdown on Tuesday when pictures emerged showing him training by himself following a week of turbulence involving the star striker. Isak was not part of the squad which was thrashed 4-0 by Celtic on Saturday in Glasgow, with Eddie Howe deciding to take him out of the spotlight. 'I chose to send him home,' the Newcastle boss said post-match. 'The last thing Alex wants if he is not playing is to be sat in the stand and under that scrutiny, then if he wasn't going to play today, we mutually agreed he shouldn't be here. 'It was my decision. He travelled back to Glasgow with us, but I decided to send him home due to the speculation around him. Both [ Joelinton and Isak] are fit but not ready to play. Alex has trained and is fine but we didn't want to take the risk with him.' Those comments were an attempt to clear things up, but arguably only increased the speculation around the Swedish star. The fact he was then shown training away from his team-mates added to the furore. But NewcastleWorld says Isak was training by himself as a precaution after undergoing a scan on a thigh injury. It came back clear, yet even still the reports around the striker continue, with talkSPORT saying he is demanding a huge wage increase. Isak currently earns around £120,000 per week with the Magpies, but he is reportedly agitating for £300,000-a-week in order to sign a new deal amid interest from Saudi Arabia. His current terms still have three years left to run, but Newcastle know they are potentially vulnerable to clubs who can offer him more money. Before pushing ahead to sign Hugo Ekitike for £79million from Eintracht Frankfurt, Liverpool contacted Newcastle to enquire about a possible £120m deal for Isak last week. That approach could end up demolishing Newcastle's wage structure, which currently has Bruno Guimaraes as the top-earner on £160,000-a-week. With the Liverpool threat gone, Isak is expected to join his team-mates on Newcastle's pre-season tour of Asia. And Howe is absolutely clear on what the future will hold for their star striker. 'We have a few of those players who are irreplaceable,' Howe said. 'Your top players are so hard to find, so hard to recruit and so hard to develop. So when you have them, you need to treasure them. Of course we're desperate to keep him as part of our team. 'I think it's difficult for me to ever give 100 per cent clarity on any player, I'd never do that. All I can say is Alex is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team. I've never had any issue with him and I'm confident he's going to be here at the start of the season." How to watch Arsenal vs AC Milan: Live stream and kick-off time for pre-season match
Arsenal kick off their 2025/26 pre-season with a blockbuster friendly against AC Milan in Singapore, marking the start of their Asia tour. The Gunners, eager to end a five-year trophy drought after another second-place Premier League finish, have bolstered their squad with several high-profile signings this summer. Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard have added technical quality and much-needed depth in midfield, while Noni Madueke will be hoping to challenge Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli for a starting spot on the wings. Kepa Arrizabalaga has also arrived to provide cover for No. 1 goalkeeper David Raya. Arsenal remain in the market for a striker, with a blockbuster move for Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres still in play. However, with negotiations still ongoing, supporters may have to wait until next month for a potential unveiling of the Swedish international. Their pre-season opener won't be easy. Milan, now boasting the legendary Luka Modric in midfield, will provide a formidable early test. Here, Mirror Football brings you everything you need to know - from match details and how to watch, to the latest Arsenal team news. When is kick-off for Arsenal vs AC Milan? Arsenal vs AC Milan takes place on Wednesday, July 23 at 12:30pm UK time, 7:30pm local time at the National Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. What's the Arsenal team news? Summer signings Zubimendi, Norgaard and Kepa are all in line to make their debuts. Madueke, however, has not travelled with the squad. This is because he is owed time off after taking part in Chelsea's Club World Cup campaign. Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined, recovering from a knee injury sustained last season, with an expected return in August. Elsewhere, academy prospects like Max Dowman could see minutes, as could fellow youngsters Ismael Kabia, Louie Copley, Josh Nichols, Andre Harriman-Annous and Marli Salmon, who have all also flown out. As for Milan, Modric will not be taking part in the game as, like Madueke, he has not travelled after competing for Real Madrid at the Club World Cup. Ex-Chelsea trio Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic are all expected to be involved though, as is Portugal superstar Rafael Leao. What are Arsenal's pre-season fixtures? After AC Milan, Arsenal face Newcastle in Singapore, followed by a north London derby against Tottenham in Hong Kong. The squad will then fly home before facing Villarreal and Athletic Club at the Emirates Stadium ahead of their crunch Premier League opener away at Manchester United on August 17. Here is Arsenal's pre-season fixture list in full: What is Arsenal and AC Milan's head-to-head? Their most recent clash came in the 2017/18 Europa League round of 16, where Arsenal cruised to a 5-1 aggregate win, securing a 2-0 victory at the San Siro before finishing the job with a 3-1 triumph at the Emirates. Manchester United have finally completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo in a potential £71million transfer deal and now the Red Devils are focussed on selling Ruben Amorim's unwanted players Manchester United's summer sale is now on. The Red Devils are actively working on offloading players, having finally confirmed their second major signing of the transfer window on Monday. United welcomed Bryan Mbeumo after striking a deal with Brentford following weeks of fraught negotiations. Cameroon international Mbeumo arrives for a fixed fee of £65million plus £6m in performance related add-ons. Mbeumo's addition follows that of Matheus Cunha, who the Red Devils had less hassle signing by triggering his £62.5million release clause at Wolves. Diego Leon is United's lesser-known third addition and the left wing-back made his non-competitive debut during Saturday's uninspiring 0-0 draw with Leeds. Now the focus is on selling players, particularly the five members of Ruben Amorim's bomb squad: Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia. Only one of those, however, looks certain to depart. Rashford dealt setback in Barcelona Marcus Rashford could be made to wait longer than anticipated to make his La Liga debut. But the Athletic report that a conclusion in talks between Arsenal and Sporting is now imminent, with only the finishing touches needed. Gyokeres, 27, will be in line to make his competitive debut for the Gunners at Old Trafford on Sunday, August 17. Martinez, 32, is a target for the Red Devils, who are interested in signing a new goalkeeper. But, of course, United are on a tight budget, so club chiefs initially made an approach to sign the Argentina international on loan. Villa rejected that offer and the the Mail report that they'll only be willing to accept a bid of at least £40m.
