All the details of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's star-studded Venice wedding
Sources at TMZ and New York Times indicate the event will feature a high‑profile guest list including Eva Longoria, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Jewel Kilcher, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner.
Entertainment heavyweights Mick Jagger, Jay‑Z and Beyoncé are also rumoured attendees. Many invitees previously joined Sánchez's bachelorette party in Paris last month, among them Perry, Kardashian, Longoria, Jenner, entrepreneur Elsa Marie Collins, philanthropist Natasha Poonawalla and Fox Sports host Charissa Thompson.
Venice's mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, confirmed the nuptials will take place on a private island or the 417‑foot superyacht Koru, which requires anchoring offshore.
A local advocacy group, 'No Space for Bezos,' has expressed concern over event logistics, though organisers assure employment of local staff and minimal disruption.
The ceremony, scheduled for 24–26 June, is expected to inject millions into the local economy.
To coordinate such a lavish affair, Bezos and Sánchez reportedly enlisted the London‑based Lanza & Baucina, famed for orchestrating George and Amal Clooney's 2014 Venice wedding.
Bezos and Sánchez became engaged in 2023 aboard the Koru.

Trump to unveil investments to power AI boom
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump heads to Pennsylvania on Tuesday to announce energy and infrastructure deals intended to meet big tech's soaring demand for electricity needed to fuel the AI boom. Trump will make the announcement at the inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University. The tech world has fully embraced generative AI as the next wave of technology, but fears are growing that its massive electricity needs cannot be met by current infrastructure, particularly in the United States. Generative AI requires enormous computing power, mainly to run the energy-hungry processors from Nvidia, the California-based company that has become the world's most valuable company by market capitalization. Trump threatens 'very severe tariffs' on Russia allies if no Ukraine deal Officials expect that by 2028, tech companies will need as much as five gigawatts of power for AI – enough electricity to power roughly five million homes. According to an official who spoke to Bloomberg, Trump's announcement will total $70 billion in investments. Top executives from BlackRock, Palantir, Anthropic, Exxon and Chevron are slated to participate, the official said. The funding will cover new data centers, power generation, grid infrastructure, AI training, and apprenticeship programs. Google said it is committing $25 billion to build AI-ready data centers in Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. 'We support President Trump's clear and urgent direction that our nation invest in AI… so that America can continue to lead in AI,' said Ruth Porat, Google's president and chief investment officer, who attended the event. The search engine giant also announced a partnership with Brookfield Asset Management to to modernize two hydropower facilities in Pennsylvania, representing 670 MW of capacity on the regional grid. Senator David McCormick, from Pennsylvania, said the investments 'are of enormous consequence to Pennsylvania, but they are also crucial to the future of the nation.' His comments reflect the growing sentiment in Washington that the United States must not lose ground to China in the race to develop AI. 'If the United States does not lead this revolution on our own terms, we will hand control of our infrastructure, our data, our leadership, and our way of life to Communist China,' McCormick wrote in a Fox News op-ed. Trump launched the 'Stargate' project in January, aimed at investing up to $500 billion in US AI infrastructure – primarily in response to growing competition with China. Japanese tech investor SoftBank, ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, and Oracle are investing $100 billion in the initial phase. Trump has also reversed many policies adopted by the previous Biden administration that imposed checks on developing powerful AI algorithms and limits on exports of advanced technology to certain allied countries. He is expected to outline his own blueprint for AI advancement later this month.

Nvidia to resume China chip sales amid shifting US export policy
Nvidia has confirmed it is filing applications to restart sales of its H20 artificial intelligence chips to China, following months of shifting US export rules. The move, confirmed through a blog post on Nvidia's website, comes after the Trump administration reversed restrictions imposed earlier this year, opening the door for resumed trade. The company expects to secure US government licences soon and begin deliveries shortly after. It has also announced a new chip, the 'RTX Pro,' designed specifically for the Chinese market and said to comply fully with current export regulations. Nvidia describes the chip as optimised for digital manufacturing, including logistics and smart factory systems. Though not its most advanced processor, the H20 is the most powerful chip Nvidia can legally sell to China under existing rules. Built for inference tasks (the operation of trained AI models) the chip is favoured for its superior memory bandwidth and seamless integration with Nvidia's established software ecosystem. The company's stock also skyrocketed, surging to a new record after the announcement was made. BREAKING: Nvidia stock, $NVDA, surges to a record $170/share in overnight trading after announcing H20 chip sales to China will resume. Nvidia also announces a fully compliant GPU for China. This company just keeps on evolving. — The Kobeissi Letter (@KobeissiLetter) July 15, 2025 Chinese technology firms including ByteDance, Alibaba and Tencent had stockpiled the H20 in early 2025 amid fears of impending restrictions, according to GuruFocus. The chip's popularity, coupled with its performance, meant Nvidia stood to lose as much as $16 billion in revenue when the initial ban was enforced in April. The reversal came weeks after Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang attended a $1 million-per-seat fundraising dinner at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. According to NPR, the White House softened its stance following Huang's commitment to invest heavily in US-based infrastructure. Nvidia subsequently announced a plan to build domestic AI data centres worth up to $500 billion over four years, in partnership with TSMC. Critics in Washington have questioned the consistency of US policy, warning that easing restrictions could erode efforts to limit China's AI capabilities. Concerns have grown following breakthroughs by Chinese startups like DeepSeek, which trained an advanced AI model earlier this year using Nvidia's H800 chips — a product banned since 2023 but still reportedly reaching China through alternative channels. In the blog post, Nvidia spokesperson Hector Marinez said Huang had been engaging with officials in both Washington and Beijing to highlight the benefits of AI for industry and society. The episode illustrates the competing pressures facing US policymakers as they navigate national security concerns and economic interests. With geopolitical tensions continuing to shape the tech landscape, further shifts in policy appear likely.
