She is believed to have gone to the beach with her husband, who was reportedly asleep when the woman disappeared.
When he woke up, the woman was nowhere to be found, according to local media reports.
It's understood the woman's belongings were still at the beach after she disappeared.
Sources told The Sun that the search area could be extended.

They said: "We are giving it our all.
"There are still no signs as to whether she went missing on land or sea but right now there are no plans either to end this search.
"We are not at that stage."
A Silver Alert was issued after authorites failed to locate the woman and said there are "no signs of her".

"Her life is in danger."

It comes after another Brit tourist vanished from a Greek holiday island last month after his car was found abandoned.
Cops launched a search and rescue operation to find the Brit man, 60, who was last seen in the Tristomo village of Karpathos.
It is understood that the Brit was staying in a rented room in Olympos, Karpathos, which is near Rhodes island.
He had also rented a car for his transportation, which authorities found parked and locked in the Korfasia area of Avlonas, local media reports.

According to security sources, a team of eight police officers with four vehicles, firefighters and members of the Greek coast guard have launched an investigation.
The Brit's landlord informed authorities that she last spoke to him on the morning of June 27.
It comes after a Brit tourist tragically died while on a sun lounger in a Greek paradise island.
The 73-year-old man was reportedly found by fellow holidaymakers in Agia Paraskevi, Skiathos, last week.

Emergency services were then called after the lifeguard attempted to perform first aid on the Brit.
A local doctor tried to revive the man for 40 minutes - but unfortunately was unable to do so.
Earlier this month, another Brit tourist died at a popular Greek island.
The 68-year-old holidaymaker was found dead after he reportedly went swimming and lost consciousness on the island of Rhodes, local media reported.

Officers from the Central Port Authority of Rhodes rushed to the scene of the incident at the popular tourist spot of Lindos.
The man was rushed to the Archangelos Health Centre, but was sadly pronounced dead.
And last August, a 71-year-old Brit tourist was pulled unconscious from the sea in Greece.

UK police arrest Tommy Robinson over serious assault
Police have arrested right-wing British political activist Tommy Robinson on suspicion of committing assault last week at a London train station. British Transport Police said in a statement they arrested a 42-year-old man at Luton airport, north of London, "in connection to an assault at St Pancras station on 28 July". "The man had been wanted for questioning after leaving the country to Tenerife in the early hours of 29 August following the incident at St Pancras," it said. Although the statement did not directly name Robinson, he was seen in a video widely shared on social media last week of an incident at Saint Pancras. Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is seen walking next to a motionless man laying on the floor, alleging that the man had "come at me". He was arrested after returning to Britain on a flight from Portugal "on suspicion of... grievous bodily harm and will now be taken to custody for questioning". Robinson has become a champion for far-right and anti-immigrant factions. He founded the far-right English Defence League in 2009. Robinson has repeatedly been convicted for public order and contempt offences. He has also been blamed for helping fuel racially aggravated riots that rocked the country in 2024, which he denies.

Two teenagers sentenced for 'sadistic' torture and killing of kittens in London
A UK JUDGE has sentenced two 17-year-olds – a boy and a girl – respectively to one year and nine months in detention for the 'sadistic' torture and killing of two kittens. The boy had also wanted to kill a human and researched how to 'get away with murder', according to the prosecutor. Two kittens were found cut open with ropes attached to them in a park in northwest London in May. Both kittens had pieces of flesh and fur apparently burned off them. Police also found knives, blowtorches and scissors at the scene. The two teenagers pleaded guilty to possessing a knife and causing unnecessary suffering to the animals. Neither can be named for legal reasons. District judge Hina Rai said the killings were 'without doubt the most awful offences against animals I have seen in this court'. The boy's actions were 'extensively planned' and 'clearly premeditated', said the judge, sentencing him to 12 months in a youth detention centre. Advertisement 'I really wanted to murder someone. Every day I was researching how to get away with murder,' read notes found on the boy's phone. 'I have killed cats to reduce my urges.' His actions 'showed a degree of planning' in 'finding the animals, taking them to a public place and killing them in such a sadistic manner', prosecutor Valerie Benjamin told the court. He told police he suffered from 'depression, anxiety, hallucinations and self-harm', the prosecutor added. The girl, sentenced to nine months in a detention centre, had downloaded images of badly mutilated kittens in the months before the killings, the court heard. 'It is not clear who took the lead but from what I have read you were both equally responsible,' said the judge. According to the BBC, UK police are investigating possible links to a wider international network of online users who share and film footage of cats being tortured or killed. The British animal welfare charity RSPCA told AFP that they had recorded a 42 percent increase in reports of cat cruelty between 2021 and 2024, from 1,435 to 2,041. The charity also observed a 27 percent increase in reports of posts depicting animal cruelty on social media since the beginning of the year, with 133 reports in May compared to 104 from the same period last year. - © AFP 2025

Teacher branded ‘Islamaphobic' and SACKED after describing Lucy Connolly's prison sentence as ‘two-tier policing'
Simon described Connolly's post as "obviously wrong" but went on to say her imprisonment was "two tier policy from the top down" 'TWO-TIER' FURY Teacher branded 'Islamaphobic' and SACKED after describing Lucy Connolly's prison sentence as 'two-tier policing' A TEACHER who was branded "Islamophobic" has been sacked after saying Lucy Connolly's prison sentence was 'two-tier policing'. Simon Pearson taught English to foreign language students at Preston College in Lancashire. 4 Lucy Connolly, 41, was sent to prison for 31 months in October after being found guilty of inciting racial hatred Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 4 Her tweet was viewed more than 300,000 times before she deleted it Credit: Not known, clear with picture desk 4 She will go free from HMP Peterborough in August having served 40 per cent of her term, The Sun understands Credit: PA The 56-year-old was removed following an internal investigation after posting about Connolly - who was handed a 31-month sentence for inciting racial hatred in a social media post following last year's Southport riots. Simon described Connolly's post as "obviously wrong" but went on to say her imprisonment was "two tier policy from the top down". He was dismissed after a complaint from a Muslim rep of the NEU accused him of being 'Islamophobic' and 'racially discriminatory'. The teacher said he apologised and claimed to have provided evidence of his support for both Muslim students and asylum seekers. But it was found that the posts were a violation of the college's policies, damaging of professional relationships and likely to bring the college's reputation into disrepute. Simon has now started legal action, which has been filed at an employment tribunal, with claims of wrongful dismissal, unfair dismissal, harassment, and discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. He told The Telegraph: 'I am appalled by the way I've been treated. I've dedicated my life to education and to supporting students from all walks of life. 'Yet as soon as I was branded 'Islamophobic' for expressing concern about violent crime, I became a marked man. "It was clear that I had to be found guilty by the college, it became a witch hunt, and I had to be eliminated no matter what.' Lucy Connolly, 41, was sent to prison for 31 months in October after being found guilty of inciting racial hatred. She will go free from HMP Peterborough in August having served 40 per cent of her term, The Sun understands. Her tweet, which was viewed more than 300,000 times before she deleted it, said: 'Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f* hotels full of the b** for all I care… if that makes me racist so be it.' It had been prompted by false rumours that the suspect behind the murder of three girls at a dance class in Southport was an illegal immigrant. Connolly, from Northampton, the wife of a former Tory councillor, lost an appeal to reduce her sentence in May. Nigel Farage has previously called for her release and called her jail term 'absolutely excessive'. But Sir Keir Starmer has defended the sentence, saying he would 'always support' the UK court system. A spokesperson for the NEU said: "The management of Preston College reached a decision to dismiss the teacher following disciplinary procedures. "The NEU was not directly involved in these processes and it will be for the Employment Tribunal to consider the fairness of the dismissal if and when the claim reaches a hearing."
