The couple put their renovated Victorian-era residence on the market in March.

But industry sources indicated the three-bedroom abode recently sold above its asking range for $2.675m.
McGrath previously told the Herald Sun that he purchased the double-storey pad at 85 Richardson St as his first home, at the age of 21.
Prior to Ms Laughlin moving in, he counted Essendon players Jordan Ridley and Sam Durham among his housemates.
'They're like brothers to me and we spent a lot of time enjoying the house and sharing commutes to work,' McGrath said at the time.
'On days off, we had a lot of trips to the beach, as three athletes we spent a lot of time there in recovery and took advantage of the great cafes nearby.'
In 2016, McGrath joined the Bombers as number one pick in the national draft.
The defender has since collected a number of awards including multiple gongs from his own club, the 2020 Adam Ramanauskas Most Courageous Player award among them.
He also received the 2023 and 2024 Bruce Heymanson Best Clubman award.
In 2022, McGrath played his 100th match for Essendon and was appointed the team's vice-captain the next year.
The Albert Park house's kitchen is fitted with stone benches, Miele appliances and an integrated fridge and freezer.
A gas fireplace graces the living and dining area, while floor-to-ceiling sliding doors lead to a rear outdoor space where McGrath added a deck.
Two ground-floor bedrooms feature wardrobes, ornate ceilings and open fireplaces.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.
Mr Driver said that three sets of buyers competed for the keys during an expressions of interest process before a couple emerged as the successful purchasers.
'There was really strong interest, the property was well inspected from day one by a combination of local and out-of-area buyers,' Mr Driver said.
He said that with the Reserve Bank of Australia widely expected to announce further rate cuts to the nation's official cash rate later this year, more buyers were making offers 'rather than sitting on the sidelines'.
'Consumer confidence has lifted in the property market,' Mr Driver added.

Victoria reached a peak of 1.55 non-house dwellings completed per 1000 residents by the March quarter of 2017, while NSW completed 1.17 non-house dwellings per 1000 residents in the same period, ABS figures show. The company's analysis of 2011 and 2021 census data found almost 82,000 occupied private one-bedroom apartments in Melbourne in 2021, up 48.7 per cent in a decade, compared with 123,000 in Sydney, up 54.9 per cent. 'Sydney has a more mature apartment market with more owner-occupiers, while Melbourne has more investors,' Temlett said. 'Sydney also has minimum apartment sizes, which means bigger and more expensive.' For Michael Fotheringham, managing director at the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute, this is the crux of the problem. In 2002, NSW introduced apartment standards. 'Victoria was less restrictive on that,' he said, and set minimum standards only in 2017. Loading 'So we built a lot of tiny apartments that appeal to a very niche market and they have not appreciated, which is why they are available more cheaply,' he said. The issue, however, is complicated, especially in light of an affordability crisis. Before the minimum standards, some Melbourne units had issues with flammable cladding, tiny kitchens, borrowed light and poor ventilation. Last month, the Victorian government green-lit apartments in a Greensborough development that fall short of minimum space requirements to meet its ambitious housing targets. 'There are differing views on the trade-offs here: in a supply crisis, some say we should just be building something … rather than worrying about quality and livability standards,' Fotheringham said. Loading It's an issue canvassed in Abundance, a new book being well read among the federal cabinet, which argues progressives' regulation to ensure quality housing turned into a maze of red tape, leaving people worse off. Australians' enduring obsession with houses was also a problem, Fotheringham said, as it made apartments a less attractive long-term option, influencing their design. But not everyone dreams of a big house. When 31-year-old communications professional Mitchell Blincoe started looking to buy his first home, he knew it would be a one-bedroom apartment in Melbourne's inner suburbs. 'Within what I was willing to spend, one-bedroom apartments were the only option in the inner-city area,' Blincoe said. He found a one-bedroom flat in North Melbourne with courtyard and study nook. Blincoe paid $378,000, $6000 more than it sold for in August 2024. 'If I keep it forever, that's great, and if I decide to rent it out it has good rental potential, as it's close to the University of Melbourne and the city,' he said. 'I didn't buy for resale or for capital gain – my objectives were lifestyle and affordability.' Melcorp Real Estate's Mattia Pecorino, who sold Blincoe his flat, said one-bedroom apartments on the outskirts of Melbourne's CBD with 'decent space' and amenities usually cost upwards of $300,000. The 'significantly smaller' inner-city builds, mostly short-term rentals or serviced apartments, fetched about $180,000 to $260,000. 'I've sold a few of the smaller ones lately to interstate purchasers that have noticed the market has bottomed out there,' he said. 'People who purchased off the plan for high $400,000s or low $500,000s three to four years ago … are lucky if they can achieve $400,000 on resale today.'

State of Origin: Rita Saffioti bids to hold match in Perth next year
Western Australia is kicking goals in its bid to hold an Aussie rules State of Origin match in Perth next year. The Sunday Times understands the State Government has received a detailed proposal from the AFL for a game to be played at Optus Stadium in February. It's understood the proposal was finalised and put to the Government after Sport and Recreation Minister and Treasurer Rita Saffioti met with AFL boss Andrew Dillon in Perth last month. A WA v Victoria State of Origin is being mooted, in what would be a return of one of the biggest rivalries in Australian sport. It's understood the discussions centre around how much the WA Government will contribute financially to the event, stadium fees, how many days Victorian AFL players would spend in Perth and how the city would be promoted for the match. On Saturday, Ms Saffioti refused to give details of negotiations, but made it clear she wants to bring the game back to WA. She pointed to the success of the Indigenous All-Stars v Dockers exhibition clash in February as proof there would be incredible interest in reviving State of Origin. 'Western Australians absolutely love their AFL and we saw only weeks ago the incredible success of the NRL State of Origin game which drew more than 55,000 to Optus Stadium,' Ms Saffioti told The Sunday Times. 'We also saw the incredible success of the Indigenous All Stars Game earlier this year, and I don't think there would be any better place than Western Australia and Optus Stadium to host a return of State of Origin football.' The first State of Origin match was in 1977 between Victoria and WA, with the Vics winning a first game by 63 points. Later that same year the boys from the west got their revenge with a 94-point win. The WA versus Victoria games were legendary, with the late Ted Whitten's 'Stuck it right up em, that's what you did. You stuck it right up em' whenever Victoria beat WA becoming part of footy folklore. With the WA Government and AFL backing a return of the match, the last remaining hurdle appears to be convincing current coaches and sides, as well as the AFL Players Association, to agree on the Perth match. With teams already paying mega bucks to stars, the clubs are also concerned about players sustaining serious injuries during the regular season. 'I've previously spoken directly with AFL CEO Andrew Dillon and expressed our interest in hosting a State of Origin match,' Ms Saffioti said. 'Those conversations were really positive, but ultimately a decision on whether there is a return of State of Origin football is one for the AFL.' Already, it has been speculated that Carlton's Patrick Cripps would most likely captain a WA State of Origin side, with Max Gawn, Patrick Dangerfield and Marcus Bontempelli all in the mix to lead the Vics. The sight of West Coast's Harley Reid potentially playing in a Victorian jumper matched up against WA's Chad Warner, from the Sydney Swans, would in itself be worth the admission fee. At a Captains Day at the MCG earlier this year, Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield said players were in favour of State of Origin but the timing of the match was crucial.
