Who is the Liver King? Meet Brian Johnson, the recently arrested raw organ-eating influencer

Time of India4 days ago

Brian Johnson, better known as the 'Liver King,' became famous online for his extreme health routines and ancestral lifestyle built around raw meat, organ consumption, and intense workouts. With nearly 3 million followers on Instagram, he grew into a controversial but widely recognised name in the fitness world.
But this week, Johnson made headlines for a very different reason, his arrest in Texas after police said he posted threatening videos targeting popular podcaster Joe Rogan. His actions shocked even his fans, prompting many to ask: Who really is the Liver King?
The man behind the raw meat lifestyle
Before his viral fame, Brian Johnson was a businessman. He built a supplement and nutrition empire that sold products meant to support what he calls the 'ancestral lifestyle.' That includes eating raw liver, heart, and bone marrow, often straight out of a cooler on camera.
A real man takes his spear to aim, bf he takes his fork to eat.In the wild and warmth, the flavor of 'success' is revealed. Not in having, but in earning. And it brands a smile deep into the center of the soul.Life just tastes better when you bleed! And the bounty renews.
His message? Modern lifestyles are making people weak, and returning to primal behaviours can restore strength. It's a brand that's brought him millions of fans, but also strong criticism from health experts and sceptics alike.
His story was even featured in a Netflix documentary called Untold: The Liver King, which dug into his rise to fame and questioned the truth behind his image.
Controversy and the arrest of the 'Liver King' Brian Johnson
Johnson's lifestyle wasn't the only thing that raised eyebrows. In 2022, leaked emails revealed he was using steroids despite claiming his ripped physique came naturally. He later admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs, apologising to fans.

This week, things escalated. In videos posted on Instagram, Johnson called out Joe Rogan, challenging him to a fight and saying he was 'willing to die' in the process. Rogan, who has previously mocked Johnson's claims on his podcast, had never interacted with him personally.
Austin police arrested Johnson at the Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday evening. He was charged with making a terroristic threat, a class B misdemeanour.

The first Fast and Furious film was released in June 2001. "One more Fast and Furious because it's the 25-year anniversary," the 47-year-old star said. "So those are the two big things right now... Olivia Rodrigo's Glastonbury set doubles as date night with Netflix heartthrob

Glastonbury Festival was buzzing with excitement this weekend—not just for the music, but for the festival's most-watched couple: Olivia Rodrigo and her boyfriend, British actor Louis Partridge . Rodrigo, 22, headlined the legendary Pyramid Stage on Sunday night, but before taking the spotlight, she was spotted living her best festival life with Partridge, sending fans and social media into a frenzy. The 'drivers license' singer didn't let the pressure of her headline slot keep her from enjoying the festival. On Saturday, Rodrigo was seen perched on Partridge's shoulders, belting out Pulp's 'Common People' during the band's surprise set—a moment captured by festival-goers and even radio DJ Greg James, who playfully pointed her out in the crowd. The couple's festival antics didn't stop there: they were also seen mingling with Glasto royalty Alexa Chung, cementing their status as the event's coolest couple. Louis Partridge, also 22, is best known for his breakout roles in Netflix 's 'Enola Holmes' films alongside Millie Bobby Brown, as well as parts in 'Paddington 2,' 'Pan,' and the FX miniseries 'Pistol.' He's currently filming the third 'Enola Holmes' movie and recently starred in the miniseries 'Disclaimer' with Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline. Rodrigo and Partridge have been dating since late 2023, first making headlines for their PDA-filled Halloween night in London, and later going red carpet official at the 'Disclaimer' premiere in August 2024. Since then, the pair have been inseparable—spotted at Premier League matches, strolling through London and New York, and attending the Grammys together. Rodrigo's set at Glastonbury was both electric and personal. She dedicated her song 'so american' to Partridge, telling the crowd she wrote it about falling for a boy from London and all their funny cultural differences. Live Events 'I also really love English boys. I wrote this next song when I was falling for a boy from London, and as we got to know each other, we discovered all these cultural differences. I would tease him about eating a jacket potato with beans, while he would joke about my distinctly American pronunciation—like saying Glaston-berry. So, I turned all of our little inside jokes into a song,' Rodrigo told festival-goers.
