Marcus Rashford: New club 'joins race' for wantaway Manchester United forward
The 27-year-old fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim last season, leading to a promising loan spell at Aston Villa during the second half of the campaign. That agreement included a £40million option-to-buy clause for the West Midlands club which has not been activated.
Rashford has since returned to Manchester but remains surplus to Amorim's plans, with speculation over the Red Devils' academy product ramping up in recent weeks.
There is said to be interest from Barcelona - the player's preferred destination - in a loan move, but new reports suggest another suitor may have joined the race for Rashford's signature.
Bayern Munich have now also expressed an interest in the England international, according to German news outlet Sport BILD, which reports that the Bundesliga champions see Rashford as a perfect candidate for their left wing, from where Leroy Sane recently departed in favour of Galatasaray.
Bayern also value Rashford's ability to play centrally, BILD reports, although Vincent Kompany's side are rumoured to be chasing the likes of Liverpool's Luis Diaz as well.
The 28-year-old Colombian - the subject of reported unsuccessful approach by Barcelona earlier this summer - has two years left on his current deal with the reigning Premier League champions, who are understood to have told Bayern that he is not for sale.
But with Athletic Bilbao's Euro 2024 champion Nico Williams, Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League winner Bradley Barcola, AC Milan's pacey wide man Rafael Leao and Brighton's Japan international Kaoru Mitoma all reportedly on Die Roten's radar, too, Rashford appears to face stiff competition for a move to Munich.

School 'incredibly proud' after fourth-place finish at national table cricket final
THE coach of William Howard School's table cricket team has said that she is 'incredibly proud' after they finished fourth in the national finals at Lord's. The team, consisting of nine students, competed in the national finals which were held at the 'home of cricket' in London on Wednesday, June 25. After only suffering one defeat in five matches in the pool stage to the 2024 national table cricket champions, Cheshire's The Wirral Grammar School for Boys, William Howard School prepared for a bronze medal showdown. The team was overseen at Lord's by Tracey Croucher, who has been coaching table cricket at William Howard School for almost 10 years. It has not disappointed, but we are just getting started. NWSL fans need not fret too much over the summer break, because several of the league's players are traversing the globe with their national teams. The Euros kicked off July 2, the Women's Africa Cup of Nations on July 5 and Copa America Femenina starts Friday. Eighteen NWSL players are enjoying a European summer, with 11 of 16 nations in the Euros using talent from the American league. That's triple the NWSL players who competed in the tournament in 2022. And for all the questions about Switzerland hosting this tournament and what it may mean for the country in terms of legacy, there can be no doubt that the locals have shown their loyalty. What to Watch Summer tournaments galore With so many games going on, we can't tell you to watch all of them, but these tournaments are capable of surprise bangers like Portugal-Italy and Spain-Belgium proved today. 📺 England vs. Netherlands England have their backs against the wall, while the Netherlands are coming off the high of beating Wales and seeing Miedema reach a century of goals. It's a must-win for both teams. The question is just how many. 📺 Ecuador vs. Uruguay While Sunday's game between Brazil and Venezuela might be more intriguing on the field, this one has a few strong storylines to follow.
