Legislative council chairman Basavaraj Horatti felicitated

Hubballi: Legislative council chairman, Basavaraj Horatti, stated that 99% of the reccommendations of Vaidyanath report on teacher issues was implemented, and that steps were being taken to implement the reccomendations of the report in its entirety. He was speaking after being felicitated by the Dharwad district unit of the State Physical Education Teachers' Association on Sunday. Horatti said, "I have written a letter to the govt strongly condemning the unscientific order issued by the govt to identify education and painting teachers as additional teachers, and transfer them to schools with more than 240 children. It was stopped for now, and everyone will suffer if someone makes a mistake. This was also brought to the attention of the govt." Horatti continued, "I was an elected representative from the Teachers' constituency for the last 45 years and worked for them. I solved many problems, but some more problems need to be solved. The main demand of the teachers is that the amendment to the Staff and Recruitment (C&R) Rules, 2017, and promotion should be given on the basis of seniority. Legal efforts are under way to find a solution," he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo "The officials mislead the elected representatives. If they have no knowledge of administration and law, they do whatever they want. They were about to identify special teachers as additional and transfer them. The transfer was stopped for now because I wrote a letter to the govt questioning on what basis this decision was taken, and whether it is allowed in the law. I also warned the officials of the education department," he said. Former MLC Arun Shapur was present.

CM says Karnataka will take up issue of GST notices to small traders with Centre

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said the State government will take up with the Centre the issue of small traders getting GST notices from the Commercial Taxes Department for transactions through UPI. He also made it clear that the issue would be discussed with the State Commercial Taxes Department before making a decision in this regard. 'The Goods and Sales Tax (GST) Council comes under the purview of the Centre. However, the State government will take up the matter with the Union government and discuss it with the State's Commercial Taxes Department, and take a decision,' Mr. Siddaramaiah told presspersons in Mysuru. It may be noted that a section of the small and micro traders in the State have taken exception to getting notices with respect to taxes based on their transactions via UPI. Meanwhile, asking the small traders not to worry about the GST-related notices, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar accused the Union government of creating trouble for small traders and street vendors by introducing GST. 'Notices are being issued to those who are conducting business of over ₹40 lakh,' he said in Hoskote, near here, where an event was organised to distribute government benefits. He said: 'This is the achievement of the Union government. The traders do not have to worry. We will take necessary actions to protect their interests.' The Deputy Chief Minister said though the State had appealed to the Centre several times seeking funds over the last two years, the BJP MPs are not speaking. 'They are not concerned about the poor in the State.' Accusing the BJP of not doing enough, he said that the Congress government was committed to getting Yettinahole waters to Bengaluru North district before 2027 and the government had decided to prepare a DPR to bring metro to Hoskote. 'We will ensure it is approved during our term.' Mr. Shivakumar also pointed out that the government had taken steps to regularise B-khata properties in Bengaluru, and that over a crore patta khatas are being given to Scheduled Tribes.

How to stop deadly US bunker buster bomb? Scientist from this country proposes solution, bad news for Trump due to...

US President Donald Trump Beijing: The United States' bunker-buster bombs have reportedly raised concerns in China. These are the same powerful weapons the U.S. previously used to strike Iran's nuclear facilities. It is important to note that the US's precision-guided bunker-buster bombs fly at a slow speed after being launched but carry massive warheads encased in thick armor. Chinese scientists have now claimed they have found a way to counter these American bunker-busters which doesn't require any sophisticated technology. Chinese President Xi Jinping is reportedly pleased with their suggestion. When US B-2 stealth bombers attacked Iran's nuclear facilities using GBU-57 MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator) bunker-buster bombs, there was reportedly minimal resistance. Chinese scientists, proposing a way to stop these bombs, said that the target country should strike the bomb's weak spots. While the front armor of the bomb is thick, its steel edges are relatively thin — only a few centimeters thick — which means one or two anti-aircraft shells could penetrate and neutralize the bomb. Here are some of the key details: Low-cost anti-aircraft guns can be deployed around key installations. These guns must remain operational, be able to track radar, and withstand electronic warfare. Instead of using China's own weapons, the simulation used the Swiss Oerlikon GDF gun, which is widely used in the Middle East, including Iran. The GDF fires 36 rounds in just two seconds. At a distance of 1,200 meters (0.7 miles), its strike accuracy reaches 42 percent. The method was published on April 14 in Journal of Gun Launch and Control, one of China's top weapons journals, by a team led by researcher Cui Jingyi from the Northwest Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, part of Chinese weapons manufacturer Norinco.
