Delhi CA's Chilling Suicide Note After Inhaling Helium Gas At Airbnb
The incident - the first case of suicide through helium intake in the Capital - took place at an Airbnb accommodation near Bengali Market in Gol Market and came to light on Monday, when Dheeraj Kansal failed to check out of the premises.
According to the police, the owner came across a foul smell near the room when he raised an alarm and alerted the cops. On breaking the door, a police team found Kansal dead on the bed. A pipe with one end connected to a cylinder and the other inside his mouth was also found. His face and neck was wrapped in a transparent plastic sheet, police sources said.
Kansal had checked in the accommodation at 18, Bazaar Lane on July 20 and was scheduled to leave on July 28, the sources said.
The accountant allegedly left behind suicide notes on his Facebook profile as well as on paper, just incase the social media "post gets deleted".
In the Facebook post, Kansal said "no one should be blamed" for his death. "This was my choice alone. Every single person who i met in my life was really kind to me. So i request the police and government to please don't disturb anyone because of this," he said.
He said his money should be donated to an orphanage or an old age home. He said his organs should also be donated.
Kansal's note revealed his disturbed state of mind. "I want to say thank all of you. I am not going to say any names because I don't want any of you to get in trouble..," he said.
Kansal is believed to have ordered the helium cylinder from an e-commerce website in Ghaziabad.
The police said the body has been sent to Lady Hardinge Hospital for postmortem.
The Chartered Accountant lost his father in 2002 and his mother remarried. He was raised by his grandparents.
His mobile phone and social media activities are also being probed, the police said.

These calls impersonated government agencies such as the Central Bureau of Investigation, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, or FedEx. Victims were then shifted to WhatsApp video calls, where they were shown fake police stations and coerced into transferring money under the guise of securing their release. In many cases, convincing fake documents bearing government logos were shared with them. To execute this large-scale operation, foreign handlers recruited Indian youth via Facebook and Telegram, offering salaries to set up SIM boxes at their homes. As per the authorities, this form of cybercrime resulted in a monthly economic damage of ₹1,000 crore nationwide. Meerut raid a turning point in case Following Behl's complaint, a team, led by superintendent of police (SP, cyber) Geetanjali Khandelwal, deputy superintendent of police (DSP) A Venkatesh and SHO inspector Eram Rizvi launched a probe, looking into telecom records and other technical leads. The turning point came when a raid in Meerut on July 24 led to the arrest of Parvez Chauhan, 33, who operated a SIM box for 50 USDT per day. Chats on his phone revealed coordination with foreign nationals and cryptocurrency payments. Subsequent raids in Ludhiana and Amritsar led to the arrest of Vijay Kumar Shah, Krishna Shah, Suhail Akhtar, and Shubham Mehra alias Sunny, all of whom played critical roles in activating and distributing SIM cards. Shubham was caught red-handed operating six active SIM boxes, nearly 400 SIMs, and several phones and modems from a rented premises. More suspects, Akash Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Saroj Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, and Vipin Kumar, were arrested on July 31, all of whom are believed to have been involved in the mass procurement, illegal activation, and distribution of SIM cards for cybercrime use. From Parvez Chauhan, a SIM box, broadband router, 70–80 SIM cards, and three mobile phones were recovered. From Shubham Mehra in Amritsar, six SIM boxes, around 400 SIM cards, 11 phones, a laptop, two modems, and a router were recovered. Police have secured ₹36.98 lakh through legal claims placed on linked bank accounts. All seized data have been shared with the Indian cyber crime coordination centre (I4C) to probe links with other cases nationwide. Probe is on to look into possible international handlers based in Taiwan, China, Malaysia, and Cambodia.

Four Killed In Shooting At Montana Bar In US
Four people were killed in a bar shooting in Anaconda, US state of Montana, local media reported, citing law enforcement officials. The shooting occurred on Friday at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, a city located in southwestern Montana, Xinhua news agency reported quoting NBC Montana. The suspect was identified as Michael Paul Brown, according to a Facebook post by the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Law Enforcement Center. "Be advised that the suspect in the shooting is believed to be armed and dangerous," said the post. Officials posted a photo of the suspect on Facebook and advised the public to stay out of the Stumptown area and surrounding areas. Man gets 10 years in jail for raping minor girl in 2019
Ghaziabad: A special Pocso court in the city sentenced a 26-year-old man to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Class 11 student in 2019. Special public prosecutor Utkarsh Vats said that the incident occurred on Nov 14, 2019. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now A complaint was registered by the girl's father on Nov 19, 2019, following which the accused was arrested, and the statement of the survivor was recorded by the police. Based on the minor's statement, police included rape charges under Section 376 IPC. The prosecution presented six witnesses, including the victim and the complainant in the case. The court found substance and congruity in the girl's statement given at the police station, recorded before the magistrate under section 164 CrPC, and her examination-in-chief in the court. Her statement was supported by the medical report and the statement of the doctor who carried out the test. The victim informed the court that she was friends with the accused on Facebook, and on Nov 14, when she was in emotional distress after a fight with her mother, the accused offered her to travel with him to his relative's place. "Though I refused initially, he pressured me, and there at his aunt's home, despite my objections, he established a physical relationship," the 16-year-old informed the court. The medico-legal report confirmed penetrative sexual assault, but no injury mark was found. Citing two different judgements of the apex court, the judge noted "that if the statement of the prosecutrix is found to be worthy of credence and reliable, it requires no corroboration, and the court may convict the accused on the sole testimony of the prosecutrix". It cited two more Supreme Court judgements to assert that even a medical report is not required to establish the commission of rape if the statement of the victim is beyond doubt. The convict was found guilty and charged under section 4 of the Pocso Act, kidnapping under section 363 IPC, and abduction for illicit intercourse under section 366 IPC. The court ruled that sentences awarded under each section would run concurrently, and an amount of Rs 10,000 from the net fine amount would be handed over to the survivor for her rehabilitation.
