Jersey's capital St Helier spray-painted with dozens of swastikas, racist and homophobic slurs
An all-girls primary school, public parks, a bus stop and toilets are among the places affected.
Benches, roads, bins, walls and pavements have all been targeted.
Much of the graffiti is too extreme to repeat but includes racist and homophobic slurs.
Two of the messages read, "N****** LEAVE NOW" and "STOP GAY PRIDE" next to swastikas. Another says, "MEN DESERVE JUSTICE".
The island's Chief Minister, Deputy Lyndon Farnham, says he is "deeply disturbed" and has strongly condemned the "cowardly and destructive act".
Deputy Farnham adds: "Jersey is an inclusive, tolerant, and respectful society. There is no place here for messages of hate or division. Such behaviour not only damages property, but it attempts to undermine the very values that bind us together: mutual respect, dignity, and compassion."
The head of the Jersey Jewish Congregation, Martha Bernstein, says she is "disappointed and shocked" by the widespread graffiti, adding that it "stirs up unpleasant memories" for those who lived through the Nazi Occupation of the Channel Islands.
Just two months ago, thousands gathered in Jersey and Guernsey to celebrate Liberation Day - marking 80 years since the end of German rule.
The States of Jersey Police says it is investigating and reviewing CCTV footage, with the first report made at 7:30am on Friday 11 July.
It states "numerous logs regarding offensive graffiti" have been made, including at West Park, People's Park and Helvetia School - involving vehicles, buildings and general public areas.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity overnight or has nearby CCTV is asked to contact officers on 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 111 555.
The affected areas are being cleaned up by local people and government teams.

A 'sniper threat' that saw King Charles and Queen Camilla whisked away during a trip to Jersey turned out to be a man on a roof scaring away birds. The royal couple were chatting to locals in St Helier when they were ushered into a hotel amid fears for their safety. Footage showed the Queen being directed away by security staff during the scary incident. But Detective Chief Inspector Mark Hafey from the States of Jersey Police, who was in charge on the day, has now revealed the innocent truth of what happened. 'It was a false alarm, my understanding is someone was on a roof trying to scare some birds,' he told ITV News. 'I don't think you can overreact in those situations because the safety of the King and Queen is paramount, all the officers involved just followed their training.' Mr Hafey said he was first made aware of the potential sniper threat by a colleague and had to act 'very quickly'. 'As a Firearms Commander, I'm acutely aware of what's involved but I was able to make sure my team responded to that and did exactly what was required, without creating too much fuss or public panic,' he added. Nurse Maria Fernanda Rojas Ortiz who died in Southend plane crash 'was on first day in job'
A nurse who was among four people killed in a plane crash in Southend was on her first day in the job. Maria Fernanda Rojas Ortiz, 31, was on board the private medical jet that went down in flames after shortly after take-off on Sunday. Originally from Chile, Ms Ortiz was a German national, and is believed to have been on her first day on the job, according to reports. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise 7,500 euros for her family to help with the costs of repatriation and funeral services. Organiser Julia Estaben wrote on the fundraising page: "The death of our beloved Feña, in a tragic accident is still under investigation by the authorities. "In the midst of this difficult time, we want to organize ourselves to support her family. This process entails many unexpected expenses - transfers, paperwork, possible travel, and everything necessary to give her a proper send-off." The medical transport plane bound for the Netherlands crashed at around 3.48pm. According to a document that lists passengers, Ms Ortiz was on board along with two Dutch pilots, who also died. It is believed the fourth passenger was another nurse. The team had dropped off a patient in Southend and was due to return to its base in the Netherlands. Zeusch Aviation, based at Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands, said in a statement on Monday: "It is with deep sadness that we confirm there were no survivors among the people on board flight SUZ1. "Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the victims, their families, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time." "Zeusch Aviation continues to fully cooperate with the relevant investigative authorities and is providing all possible support to those affected.'Witnesses told of seeing a 'fireball', while images of fire and black smoke were shared on social media. Lisa Fitzsimons of the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said it was "too early to speculate' on what may have caused the crash. London Southend Airport remains closed on Tuesday.
