Succession Star Went Vegan On Day 2 Of Filming This '90s Classic
Based on Dick King-Smith's children's book The Sheep-Pig, the hit movie depicted a surprisingly clever pig who trains to become a sheep herder.
The actor says he lasted just two days before making a lifelong change.
'On the second day of filming, I broke for lunch before everybody else. All the animals I'd worked with that morning were on the table, cut up, fricasseed, roasted and seared,' Cromwell told the publication.
'That was when I decided to become a vegan.'
And according to the actor, he wasn't alone.
'The only negative thing I ever heard about Babe was from a woman who said it ruined her relationship with her daughter,' he shared.
'They used to enjoy Big Macs together and now her daughter wouldn't eat animals. I thought: 'If that's what you based your relationship on, it sucks anyway!''
The 85-year-old also revealed how he came up with the delivery of the movie's iconic closing line, 'That'll do, pig, that'll do.'
He explained, 'I asked [director Chris Noonan] how he wanted me to deliver my final line, and he said: 'Right down the lens.' I didn't expect what happened: reflected back at me in the camera lens, I saw not me, but my father.
'On that thought, I laid the line: 'That'll do pig, that'll do.' At the time, I hadn't forgiven my father, who was a director and very critical of my work, which stung.
'I didn't know I had to forgive him. But at that moment, I looked at myself and saw I am my father's son and I love him. Without a doubt, it brought closure.'
Who knew so much went into the classic '90s flick?

Gary Busey Pleads Guilty to Sex Crimes Charge, Admits 'It Was Not an Accidental Touching'
Gary Busey pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contactNEED TO KNOW Gary Busey pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact on Thursday, July 31 Busey admitted he inappropriately touched a woman during the semi-annual Monster-Mania Convention at a Doubletree Hotel in New Jersey on Aug. 13, 2022 "He's glad to put this behind him," Busey's criminal defense attorney tells PEOPLEGary Busey pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact on Thursday, July 31. Busey entered his plea during a virtual court appearance where he admitted he inappropriately touched a woman at the semi-annual Monster-Mania Convention at a Doubletree Hotel in New Jersey in August of 2022. "It was not an accidental touching," Busey told the judge, according to The Guardian. Busey's criminal defense attorney Blair Zwillman tells PEOPLE that in order for the judge to accept the guilty plea, "there has to be a factual basis where he admits the offense. He had to admit that it was non-consensual.' 'This was the best disposition for him," says Zwillman. "He's glad to put this behind him. He is basically a family guy. He is not a criminal." Busey, who was initially charged with four counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, has yet to be sentenced. He faces fines and one to five years of probation. 'We're going to ask that he'd just be fined and end it,' says women reported that the actor touched them inappropriately during an autograph signing meet-and-greet at Monster-Mania in 2022. The actor initially denied any wrongdoing. "None of that happened,' he told TMZ. 'It was a partner, a camera lady and me, and two girls ... it took less than 10 seconds, and they left. Then they made up a story that I assaulted them sexually and I did not. Nothing happened, it's all false." Busey was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Buddy Holly in The Buddy Holly Story. He also has appeared in dozens of other films including Predator 2 and Point Break. Is the 2025 Song of the Summer the 'Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday' meme?
Folks, we have a huge problem. The calendar has officially shifted from July to August, and we're in a dire situation: We have no song of the summer. Last year, we were almost overflowing with options for song of the summer with absolute bops from Sabrina Carpenter ("Please, Please, Please" and "Espresso"), Chappell Roan ("Good Luck, Babe") and Taylor Swift ("I Can Do It With a Broken Heart"). If you weren't a pop fan, Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" was everywhere on its way to becoming song of the year. We even had a whole movement called Brat Summer around Charli XCX's dance-pop album, Brat. In 2025, however, we are in a bit of a dead period for the bright, fun and poppy music we've come to associate with summer. Carpenter's June 5 release of "Manchild" gave us a little something to hold us over, but it hasn't overtaken pop culture like last year's options. Slowly, we've come to realize -- thanks mostly to TikTok -- our only real option for song of the summer is... the Jet2 Holiday meme. The audio features Jess Glynne's song "Hold My Hand" as a voiceover from an advert for a travel deal plays. "Nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday," a woman's voice says. "And right now, you can save 50 pounds per person! That's 200 pounds off for a family of four!" Usually this is accompanied by a video that shows some unfortunate travel situation that's likely hilarious to everyone except those experiencing it. It's a sad state when the only song stuck in our heads through July is associated with a viral meme format, but fret not. With Chappell Roan releasing "The Subway" on August 1 and Sabrina Carpenter's Man's Best Friend album dropping on August 19, our long national nightmare might be ending as we head into fall. What is the Nothing Beats a Jet2 Holiday meme? As we mentioned, it's usually a travel-related mishap that's accompanied by the commercial jingle. Like this: Who sings the Jet2 Holiday song? That would be Jess Glynne, who sings "Hold My Hand."

Ice-T sparks concern with 'Law & Order: SVU' injury gag
Ice-T may be in need of an ice pack, or at least his TV counterpart Detective Fin does. The Grammy-winning rapper and actor, who stars as Odafin Tutuola on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," teased his return to the long-running crime drama in a playful Instagram post on July 31. Ice-T, who joined the iconic NBC series in 2000, shared a photo of his character sporting a gnarly black eye and cut lip. "Back filming SVU and the first scene I shoot…." Ice-T wrote in the post's caption, using an expletive before quickly reassuring fans, "It's in the script." Viewers won't have to wait long to see what crime-fighting adventures Det. Fin and the rest of the "SVU" gang, which includes show leads Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni, have been up to in the streets of New York City. Season 27 of "SVU" is expected to launch on Sept. 25 alongside the Season 25 premiere of flagship series "Law & Order," according to the official NBC website. New episodes will air on Thursdays and be available to stream on Peacock the following day. During an October 2024 interview with The Guardian, Ice-T, who initially made a name for himself in the rap scene of the late 1980s and early '90s, reflected on his unlikely "Law & Order" stint after appearing in crime dramas such as "New Jack City," "Mean Guns" and "Sonic Impact." "They called me to do four episodes, and it just kept on giving, 25 years later," Ice-T, 67, told the British outlet. "Hip-hop was doing this paradigm shift away from acts like me, Public Enemy and Ice Cube into this weird other world where I wouldn't have survived." He added, "So, maybe it was like a lifeboat pulling up next to me. Like, OK: Time for you to change your main hustle. It's been a good ride, and it keeps me contained — when you're a musician and only a musician, you got a lot of free time, and that free time can get you in trouble." Ice-T and Pink Floyd: Rapper says band gave rare approval for 'Comfortably Numb' sample Ice-T's black eye photo prompts playful concern on social media In the comments section, Ice-T's realistic "SVU" make-up for his character's injury had some of the rapper-actor's famous peers reaching for their own emergency alert. "I am glad it's just for SVU! ❤️" "Was getting ready to launch missiles..🫡," King T wrote, while Edwin Robinson II added, "I was about to send the prayer angels down… 😂😂😂"
