Donald Trump's Pardon For NBA YoungBoy Could Be In Jeopardy
'We are extremely proud of the work our investigator and prosecutors did on this case, as well as grateful for all the help we received from other local and federal agencies,' Cache County attorney Taylor Sorensen and Sheriff D. Chad Jensen wrote in a joint statement to KUTV.
'Mr. Gaulden [YB] pled guilty to the charges in this investigation, and we feel strongly the Justice System in Cache County is far from a 'weaponized system of justice.' We have highly trained, honest, experienced and professional sheriff's investigators and county prosecutors, along with respected District Court Judges and Defense Attorneys.' Trevor Lee, a member of the Utah House District 16, supported his perspective on X. 'As a state we should still go after him,' he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
It is unclear whether Utah lawmakers will be successful, but it is clear where they stand on YoungBoy Never Broke Again. The Baton Rouge, La. rapper had been living in the state for a few years now while serving his house arrest sentence. Last year, he pleaded guilty to felonious gun possession charges and was sentenced to 23 months in prison, five years of probation, and had to pay $200,000 for a separate gun charge.
This past March, he was released from prison and credited for time served, allowing him to return to home confinement, which he completed in April. Donald Trump's pardon eliminated his probation sentence and he expressed his gratitude via social media. 'I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist,' he wrote on Instagram.

Donald Trump still has a political bone to pick with Queen president, who has previously voiced criticism of celebrities who showed support for his election counterpart, Kamala Harris, took to social media on Saturday, July 26, to renew his unfounded claim that pop star Beyoncéwas allegedly paid $11 million to endorse Harris' presidential the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, the "Cowboy Carter" songstress made her endorsement of Harris official when she appeared at the former vice president's abortion rights rally in her hometown of Houston in October. She also cleared the usage of her 2016 song "Freedom" for Harris, and the tune became the Democratic nominee's official campaign song. "I'm looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats after the presidential election and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, $11 million dollars to singer Beyoncé for an ENDORSEMENT (she never sang, not one note...)," wrote Trump in a fiery Truth Social post, also citing alleged endorsement payments to media mogul Oprah Winfrey and civil rights activist Al Sharpton. USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Beyoncé for comment. "Can you imagine what would happen if politicians started paying for people to endorse them. All hell would break out!" Trump concluded. "Kamala and all of those that received endorsement money BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted! Thank you for your attention to this matter." Trump's digital tirade comes just two months after he accused the Grammy-winning singer and other celebrities of being paid to publicly support Harris' candidacy. In a May Truth Social post, the GOP president announced plans for a "major investigation" into the Harris campaign's celebrity endorsements. Did Beyoncé receive payment for Kamala Harris endorsement? At the time of Trump's original allegations in May, the Federal Election Commission had no record of an $11 million payment to Beyoncé from Harris' presidential campaign. Additionally, the agency does not have rules explicitly prohibiting candidates from paying for endorsements. It is unclear where Trump got the unsubstantiated $11 million figure. The Harris campaign last year rejected a rumor that it paid Beyoncé $10 million for her endorsement that spread on social media shortly after the music star's October 2024 appearance with Harris. Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, also pushed back at the $10 million rumor in a November 2024 Instagram post, calling it "false information" and a "lie." She added that the singer "actually paid for her own flights for her and her team." What has Beyoncé said about Kamala Harris campaign? During her October 2024 appearance at Harris' rally, Beyoncé, who was joined by fellow singer and Destiny's Child alum Kelly Rowland, said "It's time for America to sing a new song" when describing Harris' presidential bid. If you have the profound displeasure of still being on X, you may have noticed a number of posts that essentially try to say that Pedro touches his female costars inappropriately as a way to soothe his "anxiety" — with a lot of focus on his Fantastic Four promotional tour with costar Vanessa Kirby. One of the videos of the pair was even flagged for containing an AI distortion. The posts twist what Pedro said about anxiety in a recent Men's Health interview: "I was always one to reach out when I'm facing something that is challenging or making me anxious...I definitely kind of stopped doing that, and instead I'm doomscrolling, or looking for something to watch; looking for different ways to disassociate from the feeling I'm having. And then, when it started to feel so critical, I had to go back to what was always the comfort for me in life, which was engagement in my relationships, my friendships, and conversation and shared experience." Touching, of women or otherwise, was not mentioned. The backlash further devolved into vitriolic, offensive posts about Bella Ramsey, with one post with 255k likes reading, "How come Pedro Pascal never gets anxiety around Bella Ramsey?" Similarly, others suggested that Pedro is not physically close with his male costars, which is demonstrably false (if anything, you could argue he is more physical with his male costar). It's actually not the first time similar jabs have been made at Pedro. As Vanity Fair noted, defenders of J.K. Rowling used a clip of Vanessa and Pedro at Comic-Con to suggest something untoward was happening after Pedro criticized the author for her anti-trans views. But Vanessa herself then said of them holding hands at the event, "What happened is we were both incredibly nervous going out in front of thousands of people who love this comic. He wanted me to know that we were in this together, and I found it a lovely gesture and was very glad to squeeze his hand back.' The conversation has seeped onto Instagram, where a quick look at Pedro's comment section reveals a lot of spam-like behavior: Of course, what the "groping" posts fail to acknowledge is that touching in and of itself isn't an issue; it's consent (or lack of it).
