‘Dasara changed everything for me as an actor'
Kannada actor Dheekshith Shetty is steadily making his mark in Tollywood. While his Telugu debut in Mugguru Monagallu marked the start of his journey, it was the 2023 blockbuster Dasara, alongside Nani , that changed the game for him and cemented his place in Telugu cinema. With an exciting lineup of upcoming films — The Girlfriend, The King, Jackie Queen and Bank of Bhagyalakshmi — Dheekshith is now set to broaden his presence on screen. In a candid chat with Hyderabad Times, he reflects on his journey so far, finding his footing in the Telugu industry, and why he believes art must rise above language. 'The Telugu industry is open to newcomers and talent from other languages' Dheekshith rose to fame in Tollywood with his role as Siddham Suryam in Dasara (2023).
