Official: Monza sale brings end to Berlusconi ownership
Official: Berlusconi family agree to sell Monza to US investors
Monza, who were relegated from Serie A at the end of the 2024-25 season, have been bought out by new American investors. Becket Layne Ventures have purchased an initial 80% stake in the club, and have agreed to purchase the remaining 20% of the shares by June 2026.

For the meantime, Fininvest, the holding company owned by the Berlusconi family, will remain minority shareholders, and will remain on the board 'in line with its remaining shareholding', it has been confirmed.

Once Becket Layne have bought out the remaining 20% of the shares from Fininvest, the Berlusconi family will no longer have control over the club.
Monza was officially bought by Fininvest, then under the control of former Prime Minister of Italy and ex-Milan President Silvio Berlusconi in 2018. Along with the guidance of former Milan CEO Adriano Galliani, Monza earned promotion to Serie A for the first time in the club's history at the end of the 2021-22 season.
The club remained in possession of Fininvest after the death of Silvio Berlusconi in 2023. The holding company remained under the control of the Berlusconi family, who have since agreed to sell 100% of their shares in the club following the team's relegation to Serie B at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Three Longhorns selected to Walter Camp Preseason All-America Teams

On Tuesday, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., EDGE Colin Simmons, and defensive back Michael Taaffe were named to Walter Camp's Preseason All-America Teams. Hill and Simmons each landed on the First Team, while Taaffe was on the Second Team. For the Longhorns stars, their latest honor comes as no surprise. All three served as vital pieces to the Longhorns' success last year. With another year of experience under their belts, they will once again be relied on to help Texas ends it's title drought. This is the second straight year Hill has received Walter Camp's Preseason All-American honors. During the 2024 campaign, he led the team in tackles with 104. He also forced four fumbles and finished third on the team in sacks with eight. As the Texas native frustrated offensive coordinators, he added multiple Player of the Week honors to his trophy case. While Hill was a reliable veteran presence, he got help from Simmons, who was a human highlight reel. The talented EDGE led the team in sacks with nine and ranked second in quarterback hurries with 14. He also led all freshmen in total sacks. Due to his play, Simmons won the Shaun Alexander National Freshman of the Year Award. It's just down right fun watching Michael Taaffe communicate and move people into the right you weren't told, you probably would assume he was recruited on a scholarship. Rounding out the list is a player Texas fans have become familiar with in Taaffe. The former walk-on started every game last season and recorded 78 tackles. He also added two interceptions and ten pass break-ups to his resume. During his Longhorns career, Taaffe has appeared in 43 games and made 26 starts. The Walter Camp teams are revealed in December and chosen by FBS head coaches and sports information directors.

Ronald Reagan Building to become home to a new FBI headquarters

File Photo by Bonnie Cash/UPI | License Photo July 1 (UPI) -- The FBI will have a new headquarters at the Ronald Reagan Building Complex in the nation's capital instead of building a new facility in a suburb. The new home of the FBI headquarters will be located one block east of the White House, the FBI and General Services Administration announced on Tuesday. "We are ushering FBI headquarters into a new era and providing our agents of justice a safer place to work," FBI Director Kash Patel said. "Moving to the Ronald Reagan Building is the most cost-effective and resource-efficient way to carry out our mission to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution," Patel added. GSA Acting Director Stephen Ehikian said the FBI's existing headquarters in the J. Edgar Hoover building "is a great example of a government building that has accumulated years of deferred maintenance." The building has an aging water system and concrete falling from it, but Patel and his FBI team "has located a building that best supports their mission and their people," he said. Moving into an existing building negates the need to build an entirely new facility in a suburban area near Washington, D.C., and saves taxpayers "billions of dollars," Michael Peters, GSA Public Buildings Service commissioner, said. "We are proud to partner with Director Patel to drive efficiency and improve the quality of space for a productive workforce in service to national security and taxpayers," Peters added. The Ronald Reagan Building complex also houses the Customs and Border Protection headquarters and other entities.
