Snubs galore.
The Television Academy revealed the 2025 Emmy nominations on Tuesday, with the most nods going to 'Severance,' 'The Penguin, 'The White Lotus' and 'The Studio.'
Adam Scott, Kristen Bell, Jean Smart, Colin Farrell, Pedro Pascal, Kathy Bates, Noah Wyle and Kathryn Hahn are among the nominated actors.
But a number of other performers were snubbed from the nominations list, including 'The White Lotus' stars Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola, who made headlines for their turns as the incestuous Ratliff brothers.
Schwarzenegger, 31, was predicted to score a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, but both he and Nivola, 21, were shut out of the category.
Their co-stars Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs and Sam Rockwell were all nominated in the Supporting Actor category, alongside three 'Severance' stars and James Marsden for 'Paradise.'
Schwarzenegger and Nivola are both nepo babies. Schwarzenegger is the son of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, while Nivola's parents are Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola.
Schwarzenegger and Nivola's on-screen sister Sarah Catherine Hook, who played Piper Ratliff, was snubbed as well.
'White Lotus' ladies Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan also missed out on nominations, but their on-screen bestie Carrie Coon scored a nod in the Supporting Actress category, as did co-stars Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood and Natasha Rothwell.
Despite the multiple snubs, the third season of the HBO hit still racked up 23 nominations.
In the Lead Actor in a Drama category, Jon Hamm and Diego Luna both missed out on nominations for their respective roles in Apple TV+'s 'Your Friends & Neighbors' and Disney+'s 'Andor.'
In fact, 'Andor' got only one acting nomination, and it was for guest star Forest Whitaker. But the 'Star Wars' series did get in for Outstanding Drama Series.
Much-hyped shows 'Your Friends & Neighbors,' 'Squid Game,' '1923,' 'House of the Dragon' and 'The Handmaid's Tale' all missed out in Outstanding Drama Series.
Other drama snubs include Elisabeth Moss for 'The Handmaid's Tale,' Lee Jung-jae for 'Squid Game,' Jack Lowden for 'Slow Horses,' Dichen Lachman for 'Severance,' Helen Mirren for '1923,' Jacob Anderson for 'Interview With the Vampire' and Allison Janney for 'The Diplomat.'
On the comedy side, 'Only Murders in the Building' stars Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Meryl Streep were ignored by Emmy voters this go-round, despite all landing noms last year for Season 3.
However, their co-star Martin Short got his fourth acting nomination in as many years for the Hulu project.
'Hacks' scene-stealers Paul W. Downs and Meg Stalter, 'Abbott Elementary' favorite Tyler James Williams and 'Poker Face' lead Natasha Lyonne were also left off the nominations list.
In the Limited Series categories, 'Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story' star Nicholas Alexander Chavez failed to join his on-screen brother Cooper Koch and on-screen parents Javier Bardem and Chloë Sevigny as a nominee.
Renée Zellweger got shut out in Lead Actress for 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,' though the Peacock film did get recognized in the Outstanding Television Movie category.
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will air Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Adam Schiff Talks Of Donald Trump's 'Climate Of Fear' In ‘Late Show' Guest Appearance; California Senator Later Addresses CBS Cancellation

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert started out on Thursday with the host making the bombshell announcement that CBS was canceling the show, effective next May. That wasn't addressed in his interview with Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), even though the Trump nemesis did address the president's success in creating what he called a 'climate of fear.' More from Deadline How Public Media Lost The Federal Funding Battle, And What Happens Next To Stations, NPR And PBS PBS, NPR And Public Media Set To Lose Federal Funding As Package Of Spending Cuts Clears Congress 'Watch What Happens Live' Host Andy Cohen On Stephen Colbert's Late-Night Show Ending: "I Can't Believe CBS Is Turning Off The Lights At 11:30" 'He wants to make the law firms afraid,' Schiff told Colbert. 'He wants to make universities afraid. He wants to make immigrants afraid. he wants to make citizens afraid. He wants to make news organizations, CBS and Paramount afraid. He wants to make ABC afraid. And he is succeeding.' Later, Schiff did address CBS' decision to cancel Late Show, writing on X, 'Just finished taping with Stephen Colbert who announced his show was cancelled. If Paramount and CBS ended the Late Show for political reasons, the public deserves to know. And deserves better.' CBS said that the show was being canceled for financial reasons. But very soon after the announcement, there were quickly suspicions that it could have been connected to parent Paramount Global's pending merger with Skydance. The transaction needs regulatory approval from the Trump administration, and Colbert's humor is frequently directed at the president. Already, a number of Democrats on Capitol Hill have criticized Paramount Global for reaching a settlement with Trump over his 60 Minutes lawsuit against CBS for $16 million. Colbert joined them earlier this week, riffing in a monologue earlier this week on what he called Paramout's 'big fat bribe' to the president. Following Colbert's announcement that his show was getting the ax, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) linked to the host's earlier monologue and wrote on X, 'CBS canceled Colbert's show just THREE DAYS after Colbert called out CBS parent company Paramount for its $16M settlement with Trump – a deal that looks like bribery. America deserves to know if his show was canceled for political reasons.' Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) posted a similar note. In the Colbert interview, Schiff also criticized the package of spending cuts — known as rescissions — as a sign that congressional Republicans were giving up their power to Trump. The final passage of the package, which rolls back funding for foreign aid and NPR, just as the interview was airing. 'They're worried about losing their own personal power, that is their own personal office<' Schiff said of the GOP lawmakers. 'Some of them have said they're worried about their own personal safety,' Colbert said. 'That too, that too,' Schiff said. 'You can't find a member of the House or Senate that hasn't gotten death threats,' Schiff said. You probably can't find many that haven't gotten death threats against their spouses, against their children.' Schiff said that those threats have greatly accelerated under Trump, but he suggested a way to respond. 'This is all part of a deliberate campaign to frighten people into submission,' Schiff said. 'And the only way to pish back on that is to say, 'Piss off. Piss off.'' Late-night hosts are among those offering their condolences to Colbert.

Andy Cohen was just one of a number of late-night hosts and lawmakers expressing shock over CBS' cancelation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Colbert himself made the announcement on Thursday, revealing to the audience after taping Thursday's episode that he was told the news 'just last night.' In addition to posting the message on Instagram before his show, Colbert replayed the announcement at the start of his Thursday episode. Not only will Colbert's hosting gig end in May 2026, but The Late Show itself will end completely.

Astronomer CEO Goes Viral After Dodging Jumbotron At Coldplay Concert

Chris Martin of the band Coldplay perform on stage during day four of Glastonbury Festival (Photo by) Getty Images A pair attending a Coldplay concert became internet-famous after the jumbotron highlighted an alleged affair between the two, inspiring an online meme-frenzy. On Wednesday, footage from a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts went viral after the jumbotron displayed a couple comfortably watching the concert, a man with his arms around a woman. As soon as the pair notice that they are being filmed, they startle, moving away and hiding their faces from the camera. The dramatic reaction earned live commentary from Coldplay's lead singer, Chris Martin, who joked: 'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy.' After the footage was posted online, spreading through TikTok, X (Twitter), and Instagram, the pair were identified as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's HR chief Kristin Cabot. Unfortunately for the two, both became internet celebrities overnight, as the internet began to dig deeper into the story and make memes. The drama of the reaction, along with the gossipy details, had social media users tuning in to find out as much as they could, turning the alleged affair between the two into content. The story became akin to a moment from reality television, with commentators taking sides and debating over the details like an episode of Love Island . One X commentator wrote: 'I know infidelity is bad but being a CEO holding your VP of HR in your arms at a Coldplay concert has to feel so good. Sometimes love is wrong but still real.' Internet sleuths kept digging deeper, reportedly identifying a second woman in the footage, who can be seen standing next to the pair and awkwardly laughing, as another employee of Astronomer. Many posted about how much they were enjoying the situation, as though it were the conclusion to a thrilling drama series. Others pointed out that the pair could likely have avoided detection, if they had kept their composure. The image of the two enjoying the concert in blissful ignorance, seconds before realizing that they were in the eye of the jumbotron, instantly became a meme—one commentator suggested that the two would make a good couple's costume. Some were surprised at how quickly the story had consumed the internet. One commentator joked out that Astronomer, a software development firm, had become a household name due to the dramatic story, as though the company had enlisted Nathan Fielder to help them go viral. Many made jokes about LinkedIn, leaning into the 'office gossip' aspect of the drama—one commentator wrote: 'Worst part about this is you know it's gonna lead to him posting on linkedin something like 'i got caught cheating at a coldplay concert. here's what it taught me about b2b sales'' A fake-but-viral post on X, written as a satirical apology from Astronomer's CEO, concludes with a solemn confession: 'I am a Coldplay fan. And not just of the first two albums. I also like the recent stuff.' The Coldplay jumbotron moment highlights the unpredictable nature of virality—a juicy piece of workplace gossip that the entire internet decided to indulge in, together.
