With so many streaming services to choose from, it's hard to decide what to watch. Do you want to enjoy a comedy, drama or action series?
Fortunately, you don't need to spend time scrolling through the channels to find your next binge watch. As a TV editor I spend all day watching the latest releases and I've got five excellent recommendations on Disney+ for you to try.

In comparison to the likes of Netflix, and Prime Video, Disney+ is more reliant on franchises when it comes to its streaming content, including Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel.
The Bear
Since it arrived on Disney+ in 2022, The Bear has become one of the most popular series and there's a reason for that. Following Carmy, a young chef who trained in fine dining, he takes over the family sandwich shop, which is struggling, after a devastating death. Working alongside an eclectic team of kitchen staff and his family, he fights to make the business a success and find happiness.
The series is set to return for its fourth season this month and the synopsis reads: "Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto, Sydney Adamu and Richard 'Richie' Jerimovich push forward, determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn't just about getting better – it's about deciding what's worth holding on to."
The cast stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach with guest appearances from Olivia Colman and Will Poulter.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
One of the most addictive series on Disney+ right now. Everyone I have recommended this show too has become obsessed after just one episode. The series follows a group of Mormon mum influencers who get caught in the middle of a swinging sex scandal. As they navigate relationships, struggling friendships, betrayal, pregnancy and making their MomTok business a success, you'll be gripped by the drama.
And, good news is that once you've raced through series one and two, you can tune into the Reunion on July 1.
High Potential
This series quietly dropped on Disney+ earlier this year, but it wasn't long before it gained a Rotten Tomatoes score of 96%.
Following Morgan, a single mum of three, she has high intellectual potential, meaning she has an exceptional mind. She goes from being a cleaner to helping the LA police solve murders while trying to be the best mum she can.
With Kaitlin Oslon leading the cast and 13 episodes to get through, this series should be top of your must watch list.
Welcome to Wrexham
Currently on its fourth season, Welcome to Wrexham follows Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney after they bought Wrexham football club. They learn about running a club and making a positive impact on the town as they try to take the team to the Premier League.
This heartwarming series isn't just about football - it also focusses on the local community. If you haven't tuned into the series yet, this is your sign to start watching.
Rivals
With an all-star cast and plenty of drama, Rivals is a must-watch. Based on Jilly Cooper's 1988 novel, it follows the rivalry between MP Rupert Campbell-Black, Tony Baddingham. Tony runs a TV station located in Rutshire along with Declan O'Hara, who is married to actress Maud, and American producer Cameron Cook. Featuring affairs, fights and debauchery. Filming for the second series is already underway with fans excited to see what the future holds for the residents of Rutshire.
Writing on Trustpilot, one subscriber said: "Very good selection, friendly support and easy to cancel if you need to. Very easy to navigate their site and the openness and transparency they show should be a model for others."
A more mixed review said: "The content library is extensive and impressive. However, the streaming quality is inconsistent."

Keeley Hawes is a perimenopausal James Bond in The Assassin
The Assassin (Netflix) is Mamma Mia! with a sniper rifle, and it's a treat. Keeley Hawes is in the Meryl Streep role, wearing dungarees on a picturesque Greek island. Her son comes to visit, wanting to know the truth about his father. But they don't get very far into that conversation, because she's a retired hit-woman and things are about to get very bloody. How bloody? Well, the credits include a 'blood specialist'. But there's nothing too grim here. It's a tongue-in-cheek action caper. The tone is reminiscent of Black Doves, the Netflix hit starring Keira Knightley as a gun-toting spy, although a key aspect of Black Doves was the unlikeliness of Knightley as an assassin; by contrast, middle-aged women everywhere will quickly buy into the idea of Hawes capably dispatching victims in between taking her HRT tablets and getting exasperated with her lily-livered son. 'Is that why you only eat mushrooms now? Are you in Extinction Rebellion?' she snorts, when Edward (former child star Freddie Highmore) expresses concern for the environment. Her character, Julie, is referred to in the script as a 'perimenopausal James Bond'. At one point, she murders somebody with a cheese fork. While Julie is forced to flee the island and go on the run with Edward and a handsome village shopkeeper (Gerald Kyd), there are various subplots going on. Billionaire's children Kayla and Ezra (Shalom Brune-Franklin and Devon Terrell) are holidaying on the family super-yacht off the Greek coast and get drawn into the action. In a Libyan prison, a terrified IT specialist (David Dencik) is wondering how he's going to survive in a cell full of homicidal heavies. The series is written by brothers Harry and Jack Williams, who can do serious (Baptiste, The Missing) and silly (The Widow, in which Kate Beckinsale battled through the Congolese jungle for several weeks while her vest remained Persil-white). They also made The Tourist, and The Assassin has the same deadpan humour and sense of the absurd. Highmore is great as the nervy Edward, coming to terms with the bombshell news that when his mum used to tell him she was a 'headhunter', she didn't mean in recruitment. Terrell is also very funny as the dumb billionaire offspring. Summer is usually a dead time for TV, so The Assassin is very welcome. Admittedly, the pace slackens after the first two episodes and it becomes a little less satisfying as the novelty wears off. There are also a couple of logical inconsistencies: why would a professional hitman waste dozens of bullets cutting down bystanders instead of concentrating on their target? Don't think too hard about it. Just enjoy the ride. And beware an angry woman with a cheese fork.

The Assassin, a much-anticipated six-part action thriller, is on Prime Video and stars Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore as a mother-son duo. Julie, a retired hitwoman, has chosen to live her life in solitude on a picturesque and secluded Greek island. However, when her estranged son Edward arrives with questions about his father and upbringing, Julie's tranquil existence is disrupted. The two are compelled to collaborate as Julie's tumultuous past resurfaces and family secrets are unveiled. It's certainly one of the hottest climates I've ever filmed in." His co-star Hawes shared her enthusiasm about returning to Greece for work, stating: "I previously did The Durrells for four series and we filmed that in Corfu, but because there's no infrastructure there for filming, lots of the crew had come from Athens. "Coming to Athens to shoot The Assassin has meant I'm back with a lot of those people I met in Corfu. "There's nothing better than walking onto a set on your first day, feeling nervous and apprehensive, to then be greeted by so many familiar friendly faces that I had spent a lot of time with over those four lovely years." Greece also served as a stand-in for all the other countries visited in the series, including Spain, the south of France and Albania. The Assassin is available on Prime Video.
