The Blackpool native was fast-tracked to the final after guest judge KSI hit the golden buzzer in the semi-final, which also saw him propose to his girlfriend.
Dance group The Blackouts were this year's runners-up after performing a light show to hits by Robbie Williams and Take That.
In third place was nine-year-old gymnast Binita Chetry.
Choral group Hear Our Voice, made up of people impacted by the Post Office scandal, were the bookies' favourites heading into the final, but finished outside the top three.
The programme, which was broadcast live from the Hammersmith Apollo after a week of five semi-finals, also saw performances from singer Stacey Leadbeatter, dance group Ping Pong Pang and guitarist Olly Pearson.
A wildcard act introduced into the live final was revealed to be singers Han & Fran, who performed an Abba medley.

However, when some viewers were called Stacey's eventual inclusion in the final a 'fix', she was forced to hit back online. Now, in an interview with The Sun at the National Reality TV Awards, Stacey opened up on dealing with the trolls and how she's learned to cope with them and brush them off. The singer said: "The trolling just got a bit intense for me at the time. "But I managed it a lot better than I would have done a couple of years ago. "I was crying myself to sleep but now I'm like, 'do you know what, those people aren't relevant to what's happening right now. "I just need to focus on this and what I'm doing right now and not let anyone ruin everything for me." Not being one to get bogged down, Stacey has confessed that she is still working on her own music and has plans to release her first tracks towards the end of the year. She told The Sun: "I've got some stuff coming up at the end of the year, which I'm really excited about and hope to release my own music very soon." Stacey found herself facing criticism as some fans argued it was a "fix" that she made the final after they claimed BGT bosses strategically placed her last in order to send her through. EastEnders' Howie Danes exit 'sealed' as fans predict 'shock return' for Vincent
Howie Danes just couldn't catch a break in tonight's EastEnders - and some fans fear his exit is on the way after a series of unfortunate events, and a Vincent mention... Times are hard for George was hiding under the desk ' Howie Danes who's had his hours cut at the Post Office. During tonight's episode, he faced a number of setbacks - and fans think it's leading towards his exit and a split. During tonight's episode, the character headed off for an interview with Nicola Mitchell for a bouncer job at Harry's Barn, but he was laughed away. Nicola told Howie he didn't have the psychical attributes she was looking for, all while Denise Fox. If that wasn't enough bad news for Howie, he later overheard his partner Kim complaining about her relationship to her sister, whether he might return. "I love him, of course I do," Kim began. It's just sometimes I'd like to feel like I've got somebody that I can fall back on, you know? I mean, even Patrick is paying for Yolande's Bridezilla act," she continued, unaware Howie was standing right outside the door. She then went onto compare him to her ex Vincent, by saying: "It's just sometimes I miss how it was with Vincent... the fancy dinners, him telling me, 'yeah take my credit card babe!'" Later on in the episode, a deflated Howie was heard telling Patrick he would put money on the horses for him, after he was banned by fiancé Yolande. Fans are now convinced that all the ongoings during today's episode are leading to an exit for the character... Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan questioned: "Is this leading to a howie exit?" while another wrote: "Any writer with a brain should be able to see that axing Howie and putting Kim & Junior together is the move. She's describing Vincent but Junior is very similar." Others feared a split was on the cards for Kim and Howie - while others believed Vincent would 'return from the dead'. He was killed off-screen, after all. Vincent was shot by allies of Aidan Maguire in 2018, with his death confirmed three years later. "So great to have Howie back getting more screen time although after tonight's episode I get the feeling that A breakup might be on the cards for Kim and Howie which is a shame because I really like them together as a couple. Howie deserved more screen time," one wrote. Another predicted: "Howie is going to bet all of his savings on the horse and then win and then something happens so he has to complete a dodgy job and the person he's working for is Vincent." "The Vincent mention in tonight's EastEnders," wrote another fan. Can we bring him back from the dead please thank you!" It wouldn't be the first time EastEnders have brought back characters who were thought to be dead. Belladrum kicks off as music festival celebrates 21st year
The Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has kicked off on Thursday, marking 21 years of the event in the Highlands. The festival will take place at the Belladrum Estate in Kiltarlity from July 31 until August 2. Thousands are expected to descend on the festival, which will see headlining performances from Texas, Supergrass and Paul Heaton. Other chart-topping acts set to perform include Tom Walker, Natasha Bedingfield, Example and The Hoosiers. Scottish artists Skipinnish, Kassidy, Rianne Downey, and Tide Lines will also perform over the weekend. The 2025 festival will platform local musicians, including 17-year-old swing singer Michael Lewis from Newtonmore, who has recently secured a musical residency at a renowned music venue in Texas, US. Accordion playing sensation and Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist RuMac will perform on the Garden Stage, following on from his appearance in Danny Boyle's new film, 28 Years Later. Winners of this year's Belladrum Tartan Hearts Festival talent search, Falasgair, will be one of the first performers on the Belladrum main stage from 4pm on Thursday. The six-piece band, who hail from Skye and take their name from the Gaelic word for seasonal heather burning, are set to thrill fans with their high-energy take on traditional Scottish music. Ahead of their Belladrum debut, Finn MacPherson of Falasgair said it is a 'surreal feeling' to be playing the festival. 'Having attended Belladrum quite a few times since I was young, I never thought I'd see myself on the main stage playing alongside my pals,' he said. He added that the festival really shows 'the strength of the music scene' in the Highlands. Robert Robertson, Belladrum talent search judge and lead singer of Tide Lines, said: 'It's brilliant that the festival will be opened by a young, island band playing traditional music with such dynamism and energy – they will have the place bouncing!' Belladrum festival producer, Dougie Brown, said: 'Belladrum is more than just a music festival – it's a celebration of creativity, community and culture, all set against the stunning Highland backdrop.'
