Rescuers race to reach injured German Olympic champion stranded on mountain
Ms Dahlmeier, who also won the 2017 women's biathlon World Cup, was climbing Laila Peak in the Karakoram mountain range when she was struck by falling rocks.
Climbers including two Americans attempting the same ascent are trying to join the rescue operation.
Military helicopters were on stand-by but have been unable to deploy due to low visibility and ongoing bad weather and rainfall, Mr Faraq said.
Ms Dahlmeier, 31, will be brought to the city of Skardu when she is rescued, Mr Faraq said.
Local authorities launched the rescue mission on Monday after receiving a distress signal from Ms Dahlmeier's climbing partner, Marina Eva, who managed to descend to base camp with help from rescuers on Tuesday.
Ms Dahlmeier was injured at an altitude of about 18,700ft on Monday at noon local time, according to her management team in Germany. German broadcaster ZDF reported she suffered serious injuries in a rock fall.
'There is still no clarity on her condition,' Alpine Club of Pakistan Vice President Karrar Haidri told The Associated Press.
'She sustained serious injuries, but she has oxygen with her, and injured climbers have been known to survive for days.'
Ms Daimler won gold in the sprint and pursuit biathlon events at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The NFL and ESPN are expected to announce an agreement next week under which most of the league's significant media holdings will go to the sports network. People familiar with the transaction said the multibillion-dollar deal would give the NFL an equity stake in ESPN. The NFL has been trying to sell its media properties for nearly five years. ESPN and the league have been involved in on-again, off-again talks for the past three years. The proposed move comes as ESPN is expected to soon launch its direct-to-consumer service, likely before the end of August. The service would give cord cutters access to all of ESPN's programs and networks for $29.99 per month. Most cable, satellite and viewers who have streaming services will receive the service for free as part of their subscription. ESPN would get access to the popular RedZone channel, as well as NFL Network and an additional seven regular-season games (six international and a Saturday afternoon late-season contest). A couple of weeks ago, ESPN announced that NFL Network host Rich Eisen's three-hour program would air on ESPN Radio as well as stream on Disney+ and ESPN+. 'The Rich Eisen Show' is not affiliated with NFL Network. ESPN has carried NFL games since 1987 and 'Monday Night Football' since 2006. Under the current TV contract, it will have the 2027 and 2031 Super Bowls for the first time. NFL Network started in November 2003 and was the second major pro league to have its own network. Tottenham have agreed a loan deal to sign Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich with an option to buy for £26m, according to reports. Palhinha only joined Bayern in a £47.4m transfer from Fulham in June 2024 but he's now set for a return to the Premier League, talkSPORT have reported.
