Michail Antonio admits he doesn't remember anything from horror crash that almost killed West Ham legend

MICHAIL ANTONIO admits he has NO recollection of the awful crash that almost took his life.
The West Ham legend smashed his Ferrari into a tree last December - leaving him with a serious lower leg fracture and lucky to be alive.

He was airlifted to hospital and rushed into surgery and spent the rest of the season fighting to get back on his feet.
Antonio, 35, spent three weeks in hospital as he began his recovery.
But the striker revealed he cannot remember it.
Speaking on the Beast Mode On Podcast with Adebayo Akinfenwa, Antonio said: 'What's crazy about it, everybody in the world experienced that crash more than me.
"Even though I was in it, I didn't live it because I don't remember anything about it.
"I don't remember the crash, I don't remember being in the hospital, I don't remember going in for the operation, I don't remember coming out of the operation.
"There were loads of emotions coming through, my body remembers stuff even though my mind doesn't.
"What I've learnt from the car crash is football 's important, but your health is more important."

Following the accident, Antonio was adamant he would play football again.
And he finally made his big comeback in June, playing as a substitute for Jamaica in the Gold Cup group stage, losing to Guatemala in California.
Now Antonio says he has tried to find the positives from the accident, insisting 'the crash was also a blessing'.
And he revealed a tearful moment listening to a Beyonce song with his kids helped change his perspective.
He added: "I was in Dubai with my kids, my daughter loves Beyonce, [and the song] I Was Here.
"I've listened to it so many times but since the car crash, I listened to it and I was just sitting there, in a room with my kids but I've gone into a corner and I was crying.
"Those words, when you've been through what I've been through, when you've nearly died. When I was listening to it, I've gone.
"Now I'm at that stage where I'm going to bring myself happiness. I'm going to do whatever needs to be done.
"As much as the crash was a curse, it was also a blessing. It's brought so many things to light and made me more focused and driven to do what needs to be done."

Antonio is the Hammers' all-time top scorer in the Premier League, having scored 68 goals in 268 games.
His contract with the club expired on 30th June but he hopes to continue playing.
West Ham confirmed last month that Antonio will be listed as a free transfer but stressed they remain fully behind him during his comeback.
A statement read: 'Given Michail Antonio's unique situation following his serious road traffic accident.
"There will be no formal decision on his future until such time that it is considered right and appropriate.
'As a long-serving, highly-respected player and a much-loved member of the West Ham family.
"The club's absolute priority is to support Michail personally in his journey to resume playing at the highest level.'

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders doesn't want Deion at camp

August 4 - Shedeur Sanders is attempting to focus on the job in front of him at Cleveland Browns training camp rather than a potential visit from his famous father. After Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado coach Deion Sanders said in an interview that his son asked him not to visit him at camp, the younger Sanders explained why on Monday. "I don't want him coming to see me right now because I want to get to where I want to go, then for him to see me," Shedeur Sanders told reporters. "I don't want him to come and see me get a couple reps, and he is cheering like a good dad. Like, nah, you can't be proud of me right now. I got to get to where I'm going, and I know it's a lot I got to do to get there. "It's kind of like I just want everything that I'm doing is just focus on this time, and I don't want no distractions because we know how the media, we know how everybody would take it and take away from the team, just from him being my own dad showing up. So, it is a gift and a curse at the same time." Shedeur Sanders experienced a precipitous fall in the draft after he was widely expected to be selected in the first round as one of the first quarterbacks off the board. He wasn't even the first QB selected by the Browns, who chose Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the third round before adding Sanders in the fifth (144th overall). Now Sanders is battling Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Gabriel for reps at camp. Sanders is the only one who has yet to receive first-team reps. Some speculated that Sanders' fall was the result of bad advice he received from his father, who was his coach at Jackson State and Colorado, and that NFL teams would not want Deion Sanders' specter looming over their operation. Deion did visit Shedeur's brother Shilo at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' training camp. But he is also dealing with a full plate: He had his bladder removed due to a tumor earlier this year, and his Buffaloes are a few weeks away from their 2025 season opener. "It was something that we really ain't even have a formal conversation about because, it was like, 'Y'all need to focus on what y'all can focus on. Can't sit here and feel sorry for me, and then that's affecting y'all doing that,'" Shedeur Sanders said. --Field Level Media

Julia Roberts' son Phinnaeus, 20, shows off his skateboarding prowess while shirtless in rare video

Julia Roberts ' husband Danny Moder had a proud dad moment on Monday as he shared a video of their son Phinnaeus skateboarding. The 56-year-old father-of-three used Instagram to share a slow-motion clip of their 20-year-old effortlessly gliding on a ramp. Danny — who celebrated his 23rd wedding anniversary with Julia, 57, on July 4 — captioned the clip: 'Who likes butter?' In addition to Phinnaeus, the longtime married couple also share Finn's twin sister Hazel and their 18-year-old son Henry. In May, Danny marked Mother's Day by sharing a photo of his wife and their brood, writing, 'Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys.' In June, the Stepmom star used Instagram to pay tribute to her youngest child on his birthday. She shared a throwback image from his childhood and added the note, 'In the blink of a joyful eye this beacon of a boy is 18. I love you Henry. #goldenboy #goldenbirthday.' Her celebrity friends joined in the comments to add their well wishes, with Jennifer Aniston saying, 'Happy Birthday sweet Henry!' And Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson added, 'Henry!!!!! Happy Birthday!!!!' Julia recently unveiled a fresh look when new images from her upcoming movie After The Hunt were shared online. She traded her ginger head of curls for a long blonde bob as she transformed into character as Alma Olsson. The film, in theaters October 10, also stars Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Chloë Sevigny. From director Luca Guadagnino, an official synopsis describes the project as 'a gripping psychological drama about a college professor (Julia) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student (Ayo) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Andrew), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come into the light.' Fans can also expect to see the Hollywood vet in another forthcoming movie called Panic Carefully. Described as a paranoid thriller, filming began earlier this year in England. Julia's costars include Elizabeth Olsen, Eddie Redmayne and Brian Tyree Henry. There have also been reports that Roberts will appear alongside Jennifer Aniston in a body-swap comedy for Amazon Studios. Palm Springs director Max Barbakow is behind the feature, which was shopped around to four studios before landing at Amazon.

Lions rookie S Dan Jackson (leg) placed on injured reserve

August 5 - A day after exiting practice with a leg injury, Detroit Lions safety Dan Jackson is heading to injured reserve. The Lions did not set a timetable for the rookie's return, although Detroit coach Dan Campbell told reporters that the injury "doesn't look good." He added that "it looks like he's going to be down for a while." The Lions drafted Jackson with the 230th overall pick in the draft after he garnered third-team All-SEC honors last year while at Georgia, where he finished third on the team with 64 tackles. Jackson was not the only defensive back to leave practice early Sunday, as 2024 second-round cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. suffered a shoulder injury that will cause him to miss time. Campbell did not provide additional details on Rakestraw, including a timetable to return, only saying that "it's going to be a while at best." --Field Level Media
